Just found @ flickr: some pictures named as "new ico" and "ico3_advert_scr1"

"New Ico" screens (are those from PS2 emu, or SCE is planning a PSN remake of this game? Or are these hi res screen coming from some old press kit?)

That's what it looks like to me too... I wish people would stop making these fake Team Ico threads. Every time it happens it is like someone is pissing on my heart.

Those two Ico screens are devkit shots captured at some really high res. I have dozens more shots and wallpapers like that released all the way back when Ico came out.

i would love a psn re make since I can't find the game anywhere. But then wouldn't they have to make it for free since there is openGL code in it for something.

They could probably rewrite that portion of it. But releasing it for free on PSN would be a damn cool gift.

The top picture is an (or part of an) advert in a Japanese magazine looking for new members for the development team.

The others look like upscaled promo shots to me, or shots taken right from the frame buffer. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Yeah, ICO and SOTC both still look pretty good. Especially SOTC.

Too bad Ps2 couldn't handle SOTC...

Team ICO actually was pulling off a ton of things in their two PS2 games outside of just graphics on a platform that was struggling to run all these things. You're actually interacting directly with bosses PHYSICALLY in SOTC whereas in a game like God of War 2 it's still a QTE-driven animation. Both ICO and SOTC were ambitious games gameplay-wise and visually, Heavenly Sword was much more focused on visuals.

They really should bring ICO to PSN with enhanced graphics and stuff. This and SOTC along with Okami HD would be off the hook.

Fast-forward four years. In the first months of 2007 Sony bought some space on Famitsu - two pages to be accurate - and put out another job advert; this time a lot more cryptical than the one used for Shadow of the Colossus. The only visible things other than the details for the various posts offered, were sketches and formulae which did not make much sense at first glance.

Oh and for any newer members who are wondering:

You can get banned for a lot of things on GAF. Memes, porn, gold-frogged pictures, drunk driving, etc. But nothing and I mean NOTHING will get you banned faster than fucking around about Team Ico games.
