Ubisoft continue their 2010 chart success with new entry ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction’ No1 this week, having now occupied the top spot five times so far this year, three times in the last three weeks.

Splinter Cell: Conviction was released exclusively on Xbox 360 with the PC version out on the 30th April. Like i said in the other thread...

Surprised to see that the PS3 version of FFXIII is out of the top 40 while the 360 version is still doing relatively well - but i guess that was sort of to be expected from the massive hardware sales advantage the 360 apparently has here.

Apart from that...Forza 3 stupid legs. Obviously. God of war 3 is doing pretty well hanging around the middle of the charts. And Heavy Rain continues to do lovely :)

Also good to see EfLC up there, i didn't think the PS3 version would sell so well, but i guess PS3 owners have been waiting for it for a long time.
 
It feels odds though... something must be wrong...
edit: it's eight best selling on the ps3 chart... so yeah it is out of the top 40. blimey... didn't see that coming...
 
Red Steel 2 is holding up pretty well in the Wii Only chart.. it debuted at No. 5 and has gone to No. 6 the next week and stayed at No. 7 for the next two weeks..

Bought this for my 4 year old Grand daughter for Xmas and we all had a go. We couldn't understand some of the games but she soon put us right. Great fun had by all Not sure what academic value it has but it keeps her quiet for a while

Console bundles?
Btw it's not like sales out of the top 20 in the UK are really relevant. The gap between a number 20 and a number 30 game could be made of a few thousands units.

Surely being off the all formats top 40 means your sales are miserable, no matter where you stand on a single format chart.

i think its even less than that.. i mean the difference between 20 n 30 might just a thousand or less..
Secondly i see GTA IV is reentering for PS3 because of these episodes.
so i think we might see FFXIII reappearing for PS3 later as the PS3 user base expands
 
Great to see Splinter Cell at number 1. Such an amazing game. Can't believe Forza is doing so well, another amazing game. If some people are claiming bundles as an excuse that must mean the 360 hardware is selling like crazy too.
 
And I was wondering where nsmbw was last week in France....

In UK people are still not as interested in Sega Kart as in MK(when you've got a game older than dirt displacing another younger alternative when both are probably the same price you know the older is popular)

MK Wii has outsold Sega Allstars a bajillion times over and is still riding high in the charts?
 
Good showing for Peppa Pig. It's been dry in the UK the last few days meaning that there have been a shortage of real muddy puddles to jump in so this title must have filled a gap in the market.

Chart Track counts bundled games so long as there is a stand alone version -- then what we see is bundles + stand alone.

A better comparison would be GT5,whenever that comes out :p

Splinter Cell must have sold pretty terrible for them not to mention any sales statistics. That's what they normally do when there's a 'huge' game at no.1.

I don't get why people always bring Mario Kart into Forza comparison. First of all, it's Mario. And yeah, that's enough actually. :lol Such a bigger brand name than Forza. Also while they both are racers, they are very different kind of racers.

Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii are the only Mario Kart games that have sold anywhere near this much, though. (+1,000,000, MKDS got there 2009/08/22 and MKWii 2008/11/22.) All the others are sub-600k. All the others except Super Circuit for GBA are sub-300k.
