Activision Blizzard’s ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ regroups this week with an impressive 192% increase in sales and returns to the top spot after a four week absence, giving it a total of 8 weeks at No1 (now only one less than Modern Warfare 2’s nine).

No5 is held by EA’s ‘FIFA 11’ (+44%) while No6 and No7 are Ubisoft titles ‘Just Dance 2’ (+74%) and ‘Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’ (-10%). Nintendo’s ‘Mario Vs Donkey Kong: Mini-land Mayhem!’ (-32%) moves down two to No8, while No9 and No10 are non-movers with Rockstar/Take2’s ‘Grand Theft Auto: Complete Edition’ (-6%) and Sony’s ‘LittleBigPlanet 2’ (-3%).

Dead Space 2 also had a huge price drop in the UK, hitting £23 in some places.

Still either it's #1 or very close in terms of revenue.

Estimates:
COD Blops ~58k
360 version ~32k
PS3 version ~22k

Blops 360 should hit 2M in a month.

The Wii games are price cut resistant, everything else up there on top of GT5 has had some kind of price cut. As Keyser said COD got a price cut, saw it for £25 at Sainsburys when I went to get some cookies and muffins from the bakery. 80% of games get a price cut of some sort within a month of release in the UK, if that does not happen to a game its done very well. One game I'm shocked about is LBP2, its not got a price drop yet where as the first was up for a tenner within a month.

Donkey Kong is boner-inducing. Look at the post above yours.

To be 100% truthful, I am more happy about the franchise lasting powers in the charts than the game itself (which is nothing phenomenal in entertainment value in comparision ot other recent games).

Well, it's not any different from "Go Uncharted!!!111 massive legs". Instead of Uncharted you can insert any cherished franchise, usually platform exclusive, that manages to chart at all.

Maybe it has something to do with countries ruled by a monarch. In the UK too, DKC:R has had a pretty good showing, legs-wise. Don't take Sweden as a counter-example : it is ruled by Berlusconi II. And Norway is fucked up anyway.

Pretty decent considering the rediculous prices not to mention the amount of people that import. I know our market isn't huge but i don't think it should be almost completely ignored like it currently is.

True + a lot of Dutch outlets have put the game on their GOTY lists so I think that has lags :O.

+ DKC on the snes is also something that EVERYONE I know and a lot of dutch forum go'ers played back in the day and just want that experience again.

Well, if NA or Japan had been divided into as many countries as Europe it's entirely possible PS3 could've been first in one or two small ones there last year as well.
