HA-HA! Pop the champagne, it's time to celebrate!

Some of you have been following my past threads and posts detailing my sorrows of being an atheist stuck at this institution but now it's safe to say that those days are over with. Onward and upward!

09-10-2010: My 'social anxiety' is getting worse --- I deleted a lot of my posts in this thread because of the incident (the thread right below this) involving the discovery of my GAF account by BJU. You might be able to find my posts as quotations in other users' posts.
09-14-2010: BJU Graduate Assistant Faces Sex Charge --- This thread is what got me called into the dean of men's office. Ended up with 50 demerits because I used the word "shitty" as an adjective for the university.
02-13-2011: Evolution-GAF: How would you respond to this?
02-14-2011: Becoming independent of your household

Quick notes:
-This letter is not an expulsion letter. No state university will recognize it as that.
-I am attending USC Upstate in the fall
-I did not live in the BJU dorms. I lived at home.

What took you so long? I bet your parents are readying their priests and holy bibles to cleanse your soul.
 
I myself am religious, but I have to say you made the right move- no one should have religion forced on them, and that kind of environment isn't conducive to learning.

USC Upstate is where I'll be attending this fall. I got my acceptance letter from them today.

Congrats, I also hope things with your parents worked out I have a feeling they did. Now tell is how does it feel to be your own MAN?
 
BJ University, never gets old.

Also, it seems like a generic letter. I suppose it makes sense for them to have a template when they lose another one.
 
I'm a Christian myself and I wouldn't be caught dead enrolling at BJU. I looked into it once, their rules are insane.

All nouns/pronouns referring to God or Jesus are capitalized. I'm not sure if it's just a respect thing or if there's another reason behind it.

I believe that was my response to the assistant dean of men when he was talking about how I wasn't seeing the truth correctly, or something along those things.
 
Congrats dude! I kinda know the feeling having been forced to go to a Catholic elementary and high school. Realizing early in highschool that I had zero interest in the faith made the rest of my time there hell until I dropped out.
 
How did the University discover your GAF account? Sounds like a place where any sane person, religious or not , would go insane.

They either tracked the thread through my school email address (It was the only non-free email address I had, so naturally I used it get my NeoGAF account) or someone on GAF is from there and they snitched on me...
