MAY 28 - JUNE 3

SPECIAL EVENTS

Saturday June 2 is the 2nd TOPANGA League (B) Online Selection Tournament. You can read about the full 2nd TOPANGA League details a few posts below. The top two players will advance to the 2nd TOPANGA League 16-player online tournament, which is for the new B League. They will be joining the 14 players already selected:

YHC-Mochi (Dhalsim)
Eita (Akuma)
Banbaban (Cammy)
Dogura (M.Bison)
Naruo (Evil Ryu)

Pamyu (Balrog)
-6 (Akuma)

Here is how the format works:

Qualifier First Round (56 players → 8 players)

The players are broken into 8 blocks of 7 and play a tournament within the SSFIV AE Tournament Mode (1 slot reserved for tournament staff, giving one random player a first round bye). The winner of each block proceeds to the second round.

Qualifier Second Round (8 players→ 4 players)

The block representatives face off against each other, with match-ups determined by lottery. The match is a best 2 out of 3 games set, and the winner of each match proceeds to the final round.

Qualifier Final Round (4 players → 2 players)

The remaining 4 players compete in a round-robin league, with the two players with the most total wins advancing. In the case of a tie, the winner will determined by total game W-L count. If there still is a tie, the players will engage in a playoff match, with the winner advancing.

The stream will be on Nico Live and starts at 6PM JST (UTC +9, 5AM EDT), free to watch. You must have a Nico Nico account to watch streams via Nico Live. Click here to register. Be aware that the actual 2nd TOPANGA League is pay-per-view, price TBA.

Re-posting the TOPANGA League B info:

This will again be a Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver.2012 tournament, however, this second League (B League) will not be for the participants of the first (A League), but a new set of participants, with the top placers potentially advancing to A League.

Starting Friday June 8, 16 of the strongest players will be playing in the 10-day TOPANGA B League, a 16-player online elimination tournament. The top two players of the B League will advance to A League, replacing 11th (Kindevu) and 12th (RF) from the first TOPANGA League.

On Sunday July 1, a A-B League replacement match, consisting of A League's 9th place (Tokido) and 10th place (Bon-chan) and B League's 3rd place and 4th place, will occur. Unlike the other matches, which will be online-only, this match will be played in-person, to be held at the Nico Nico Headquarters in Tokyo.

The 16 players in the online tournament will consist of 14 predetermined players (to be announced at a later date) and two players advancing from an online qualifier.

The dates for the 2nd TOPANGA League are as below:

  • June 8 (Fri), Saturday June 9 (Sat), Sunday June 10 (Sun)
  • June 15 (Fri), June 16 (Sat), June 17 (Sun)
  • June 22 (Fri), June 23 (Sat), June 24 (Sun)
  • June 29 (Fri), July 1 (Sun)

Beginning at 9PM JST UTC +9 (8 AM EDT, 5AM PDT) on Fridays and Saturdays and 8PM JST (7AM EDT, 4AM, PDT) on Sundays.

The details for the B League qualifying tournament, from which two players will advance, are below. The qualifier begins on June 2 at 5PM JST (4AM EDT, 1AM PDT) and is free to watch and can be viewed at the below address. The actual TOPANGA League B however is pay-per-view.

Wow how in the blue hell do you just cockblock yourself like that. That's officially a bigger fail then Wolfkrone premature pop off.

Sorry I don't know if you was watching LI Joe stream but Dr. Subzero said that he had porn star Ashley Stone in the bed ready to fuck but then he mentions he's unhappy with his girl so he get's none. But even worse he stated that he hasn't had sex in 3 years but been with his girl for 5 years. He broke up with her this weekend.

He who pursues two rabbits gets two rabbits.
The remaigning events schedule is ridiculous. At least 2 events the next 3 weekeneds?
I'm going to be in Nashville for Midwest Championships on the 23rd and then in Atlanta for ATL Finalroundbats on the 24th.

Dat grind.

PL really needs to get up out of his feeling. Also that's not a good example since he can't come to every tourney due to not living in this country.

This. Usually Dnyce is usually on there with other random guess and Triforce.

lol its just him looking for any type of excuse, I mean he went to a tourney in his own backyard after evo and didn't play, trying to act like some king or some shit, dude is just a big diva.

Yeah I pretty much lost all respect that I had for him when he won EVO.

LOL at Perfect Legend. I don't even know the story behind all that but it sounds stupid.

The Perfect Legend Story (©2012 by Seraphinianus)

Once there was a man named Perfect Legend who won Evo in Mortal Kombat. Then for a long time, nothing happened. Then he went to MLG and got babalitied. Then for a long time, nothing happened. Then he randomly popped off about Daigo.

The End.

Is that babality archived? I missed it live.

F. Champ : Fanatiq is about as good as the Golden State Warriors. Ray Ray on the other hand is like the Bobcats. They BOTH ASS.

HAHHAA I'm fucking dying here.

So I'm watching the FGTV stream...

Why is Fanatiq losing to CJ? He does Helm Breakers (jumping down C) with Vergil like his life fucking depends on it, and has the most obvious mix-ups.

Does anyone know if Revelations is still happening? Have heard nothing about it for a long time already, when it's 2 weeks away.

I think it's still on, but the thing is... it will just be another huge net loss for a tournament. I don't think it even has Levelup's full support anymore. Tournament legacy seems like such a failure right now.

Their website isn't updated and there has been no talks about it (hype) at all.
