Little plot summary on the Irrational Shutdown:
- I need to refocus my energy on a smaller team with a flatter structure and a more direct relationship with gamers
- Ill be starting a smaller, more entrepreneurial endeavor at Take-Two
- parting ways with all but about fifteen members of the Irrational team
- new goal: To make narrative-driven games for the core gamer that are highly replayable.
- To foster the most direct relationship with our fans possible, we will focus exclusively on content delivered digitally.
Sounds like digital only is a move to a more regular update cycle for their individual games. With narrative gameplay that is replayable in mind, this could be amazing.
Naturally, having a more direct relationship with fans and digital only sounds like a jump to the steam bandwagon.
At least thats some good news in a way. Best of luck to all of them

Yes. Ubi couldn't lock down the ROW sub without royally screwing over many of those who have already purchased it, and indeed every past instance of a publisher retroactively region-locking a region-free sub was later reversed for this very reason.

Absolutely loving doing this Backlog Blitz as (admittedly very late to the party) I'm discovering a ton of games in my library that are actually really fun to play. The latest game is The Witcher.
I sort of wonder how many games are just sitting in libraries on Steam never touched and totally neglected, which are actually really good games.

Any of these games good? I never heard of any of them, seem like those indies only mainstream people play. I might trade those for a copy of RAGE.
You should though, it's a great game. The non-Euclidean geometry is more of a gimmick, the real draw are the abstracted out puzzles. It's one of those games where you understand a new mechanic and you're the running around to apply it elsewhere.
