People were mentioning this back when he mentioned 16 maps. It was so specific that it'd be easy to feed different numbers to a bunch of different suspects and see what matches.
Map count, resolution, texture quality.
Assuming a 'final' count between 8 and 16, resolution of: 720, 792, 900 or 1080, and texture quality of "matches alpha" or "matches beta":
9 choices times 4 choices times 2 choices.
That's easily 72 different possibilities they could get out there and see who says what.
Or PR. Funny enough some of those that applauded and approved Penello's meltdown about Direct X, 30% performance and technical fellows are also taking Dko5 and Abbie Heppe words as a guaranteed truth like if anything a dev/PR says is always true.
I was expecting they would have learned the lesson after the last time they were played like a fiddle and expect for the facts to come out but not really. I guess some people really like to play with fire.

Not that I believe they are lying, but it would hardly be the first time a dev lied about something that could be found out by the time the game launches. (And definitely not Ea's first rodeo with that sort of thing either.)

Anyway, I don't know what's going on. Maybe, if someone wrote it in DBZ form I'd understand. Too much has happened between NTKernal and Cboat putting his account down on something that can't be true.
I want him to be right. Even if I know he's not.

Sure but THIS close to release? If it were still 6 months out sure, they could just say they ended up having to pull back to get framerate up.
But 2 weeks out? Insane.
He was already wrong about the textures. I think I believe Abbie about this one.

Even if the guy is legit, he isn't explicitly talking about campaign multiplayer. The OP asked about a single player campaign.
Hell, we've already seen campaign multiplayer and it almost definitely involved other people.

It could be a combination of a lot of different things and still works as each combination still leads to somewhere. Regardless of how hard said person tries to shift it to someone else. The starting point would be the same.

Mort, you totally did! It was around PS4 launch give or take a week, but no later than the 1st week of Dec, I remember because Rich was in total awe of the whole story.
He leaks info about video games on the internet. He's not a demi-god, Robin Hood, or anyone worth respecting or appreciating. He was never asked to do this or anything else and he is owed nothing in return.

We will find out in 2 weeks. (If not sooner) I hope they are right, wouldn't be a good start for their studio's namesake if they lied.

To the people earlier in the thread: I don't think there was much ambiguity about what he meant by the textures.

The major difference here is that we have already seen the Beta, and it ran well enough with better textures. Also, Penello's statements made no sense in themselves. Here, the idea of a texture downgrade makes little sense.
And the opposite is true as we'll.
He said the alpha textures are the final assets. If that was true then the Beta would also have had the alpha textures.
Fine then. We'll all see the truthiness when the game comes out, and a proper analysis can be done. Notice that I'm not swaying either way (though it would be funny
if 720p were true).

A) I don't think there will be SP bot matches, although it's possible.
B) We know for a fact that the game will have Campaign Multiplayer.
It's probably not nice to have people spread misinformation about your game. There needs to be a line.
And I'm 100% sure CBOAT knows that as well, which makes his claim(s) all the more odd.

But I would hope that an 8 year mostly-accurate track record would earn him at least an explanatory post before the ban, if he is indeed wrong. Which it sure looks like, at least for the rez question.
(I always read "alpha textures" as transparencies - is this not correct?)

We'll see when DF gets done with the game but it's not looking good, either way CBOAT has a better record than most insiders.

He should have added some explanation as to why he thinks the textures are going to be downgraded. Without one, the rumors just makes no sense.
anyone considered that that are the SAME textures just with added effects / upscaled? It's probably not like they've remade them. Technically, the statement isn't wrong, if they just made them a higher resolution.
Oh, come on. He leaked the exact Xbox 360 specs before anyone in the world. He's been right about like 85% of what he's said over a period of 10 years. And plenty of his misses can be attributed to internal changes in plans.

Lol not all, just most. These same ppl bought battlefield 4. Cboat has done more for this board than I have and prolly will ever do and that applies to many of u praying for his ban. Cboat job is on the line ever time he gives us the truth. Remember last year when he gave us the details of the new Xbox that many ppl didn't wanna believe. Did anyone who doubted cboat... did they get banned? No.. Right now they're doing a canary trap IF he is wrong. Time wil reveal
