I heard some one mention it only runs at an old resolution, is this true and if so is there anyway to change it through a ini?
Interested in playing it but don't really want to play it in it's native res. I would be better off getting hold of the original ps2 version and playing it on an emulator.

Yeah I can only get it up to 800x600 and I haven't messed with the ini yet to see if it can go higher.

Did some more digging. Yeah it looks like as of now there's no real way to get higher resolutions for the game. It apparently goes to 1024 but if you have to use the fix I posted earlier to play it you kinda get negated out of that. Then there is a widscreen patch but it only stretches the image to fit so unsure if that's what you'd actually want.
I'm pretty sure I've seen it 75% off in steam sales.

And if you find the game a bit anticlimactic, take note that the sequel vastly improves upon it and is considered by many to be the best p'n'c adventure game of all time.

The former is a possibility but the latter would be unfair to indies and other publishers (assuming you mean that one day of the Summer Sale is cast aside for a QuakeCon Sale). My guess would be somewhere in the middle: Bethesda's featured deals (some of them, anyway) are shuffled around to fall on the days QuakeCon is running.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I've had a support ticket in with Playfire for over a week now requesting assistance with properly linking my Steam profile, and I haven't got a response yet. It says that my Steam profile is already linked, but that I have 0 games. Everything in my "play activity" section says Jan 1, 1970.
I've unlocked tons of achievements that should have earned rewards, but so far nothing.
I think I'm just going to give up on the service.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the first part of Broken Age, but it's nowhere near the same quality as the three Monkey Island games. That's not a criticism, though. Just a handfull of Point & Click's are.

It's a modern P&C with the quality and polish of an old Lucasarts classic. Puzzles are fun and logical, but fairly simplistic and even quite rare. Didn't really have a problem with that, but the small amount of hotspots did dissapoint. Gameplay wise it feels made for mobile devices.
But, just to be clear once more; I frigging loved it and it's already one of the best adventures from the last couple of years. Just not a new "old-school" P&C like promised.
That's odd as judging from the USPTO database it's Squeenix that owns the games, not Rebellion, although perhaps this has changed behind the scenes.

There is a checkpoint at the halfway point of every level. It's a soft checkpoint, so it resets on restart. The game saves after every boss, and a warp point opens up to the left of every level. The game is not easy, but it's also not on some "I wanna be the guy" shit. You live
and you learn. The game is about leveling yourself up as a player. The second level is probably the hardest, and can be a roadblock for many. The rest of the game is a piece of cake by comparison (but oh so good). ToddHunter caught the holy ghost and breezed through the rest of the game.
I hate that they pushed this as some super hard game. People took it as being unfair or unbeatable. It's just really well made. A great example of fantastic game design.
