unless we get mods or some durante stuff i fail to see any reason to get the PC version later instead of sticking with my current PS3 version
Have you played Dark Souls on PC without DSFix vs with DSFix?
Dark Souls II on PC is proving to be basically equivalent to "durante stuff".
DSFix has full resolution options, AA (SMAA and FXAA), SSAO, Depth of Field, frame rate unlock, HUD disable/scaling, borderless fullscreen, and AF (though it's recommended not to use it).
DSII by default has full resolution support, texture, shadow, and effects quality, AA (though it's only on/off), two different methods of motion blur toggle (DSI had one option), AF, SSAO, Depth of field, water quality, character model rendering. It's currently unknown whether the framerate is unlocked but it supports at least 60fps (DSI is a bit buggy at 60fps, and very buggy at 120fps). I'm also unsure if it has a borderless fullscreen mode.
Realistically, the frame rate and resolution bump to at least 1080p60 will be a pretty sizeable difference from the last gen consoles 720p30(but very variable)
