Eh, Crash/Spyro were only real big deals because they're classics. If NFL GameDAY '97 is Vita-incompatible, I don't think anyone will care (I know that game isn't on the store, just an hyperbolic example XD)

I almost expect a football game would be in a weird position for being a non-Madden title, but I can't see people caring about Madden '99 or whatever.

Yeah. I don't think -anyone- expected the entire PSP digital library to work, as well. Makes me sadpanda that most of my PSP library is physical UMDs

Are there any specific PSP demos I should snag for their potential homebrew uses? Not that I really expect that to come to the Vita, but hey, better safe than sorry.

I wish I had remembered to buy Brave Story digitally so I could have used it on my Vita but I never got around to it, they even reminded us about it before it was removed.

Not yet. Could be wrong, but I'm guessing the reason PSN was under maintenance today is because this was intended. I'm guessing it was supposed to be a surprise that they were gonna announce tomorrow on their blog (which is also the day they update the PS Store).

as one of those who doesnt give a fuck about spyro or crash. i feel no pain. im just glad more games can be played period.
There's someone that swears Sony was hinting that this was coming, with a Crash Bandicoot banner in the Vita store... and one (now edited or misremembered) reply to a comment on the blog that suggested something might be happening with compatibility next week.
It's also possible they only meant to do Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, and ended up making everything compatible. Either way, I recommend everyone download as much as possible ASAP.
