Can't wait to shove my boot straight up some anti-semite ass. Really happy they're not doing multiplayer as well; that was a big part of my interest in the game.

fuuuu this game looks way too awesome

I was facing the same decision and decided to go ps4 since its 60 fps and i enjoy controller way more for sp gaming

You can use a controller with the pc version plus mods, higher resolution, framerate etc. Just throwing it out there.

Got this thing fully paid off. Definitely hope for release. I hope the single player campaign is fairly robust since there is no MP.

i assume the question marks on the maps are secrets ? incredibly disappointing. why are they called secrets if you already know where they are ?

"Question mark" markers on the map are unlocked only if you stealth-kill Nazi commanders. This unlocks you access to their "intel".

Way more excited for this and Transistor compared to WD. Would be great to have an amazing meaty old school shooter from the devs of Riddick.Hope it turns out great.

This is very disappointing, there doesn't appear to be an option to change controls to what I like (L1/R1 as aim and fire). That's a big issue for me.

Just a quick warning about the Doom beta.

http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Employee-Review-id-Software-RVW4012058.htm

Every 4 months or so, [id brass] tell us that the current direction is all wrong for doom, and will re-boot most, if not all, of the game. This means that for over 2 years of work, there is no game to show, beyond 1 or 2 blockout levels and numerous prototypes. The non-stop attrition has gotten so bad, that they had to contract outside the company for the multiplayer portion of the game…The entire tech team at id software has quit and moved to Occulus - they all left this past February all together on the same day."

I often preface Glassdoor reviews with skepticism, but I'm pretty certain that account is authentic.

The part of the game that typically appears in a beta is the multiplayer, and if that part of Doom being outsourced completely…

I'm pretty sure New Order will be great; I just wouldn't be jumping in because of the Doom beta.

Yeah, this beta promotion already seemed incredibly far fetched to me and was a never a deciding factor on my purchase.

I was never a fan of the IP, but hasn't it been dormant for 10 years? Good luck with it, iD.

Edit: Wow, had no idea they released an enhanced port of Doom 3 in 2012. I thought the original 2004 release was last thing in the franchise.

These guys are gung ho about showing live demos of their game off pre-launch.
Somehow I doubt the Watch Dogs crew will be as forthcoming.

Yeah, xbone!

Some interesting details about the early game choice too. Mentioned changing "characters you meet" as well as also effectively choosing between (abilities)
hotwiring
and
lockpicking

The pessimist in me tells me that the choice will still be pretty minor but maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong!

Judging from the streams, it looks like there won't be any full body awareness in The New Order. Sad to see that part of the Starbreeze tradition won't be carried over to MachineGames.

Next week is gonna be fucking awesome and full on 90s LOVE:

Seeing Failure in Seattle this Sunday and then Wolf on Tuesday
