Who ever gets to go to this thing, please somehow get Sakuria to acknowledge the Ridley contraversey.

Yes, we absolutely need to know even more reasons on why certain characters are not in the game rather than getting more perspective on more important aspects of the game.

-_-

We should find out if any gaffers are going, and prep them with some decent questions to ask.

Even if ridley is announced, it'd still be interesting to see what sakurai et al know about how much people talk about him.

I'd love to know why snake was/was not included this time around.

I'd love to know what he knows about the competitive smash bros scene, what he thinks about melee being played at EVO, and if he hopes to get smash 4 played at EVO.

I'd also like to know why he chose the twilight princess models of link/zelda over skyward sword, despite including skyloft.

There's nothing controversial about relegating a boss from a C-level series to a non-playable role in Smash Bros. You'd think Ridley was Mario or Pikachu with the way some people talk about him.

Ridley will be in Smash!

Just as a bike!

I don't think it's a old franchise getting revived

This might be much bigger, possibly connected to their NFP plans

My official pick is co-publishing deal for Yo-Kai Watch in the West.

Talking about plans for the animated series/distribution of the collectibles.

If its a round table dedicated entirely to a "new 3ds game", then it must be a big game right? My guess would be something to do with nfc figures or a Majora's Mask remake.

NFC, new IP, or whatever their next mario game is. 3D land had it's spotlight in a roundtable. I don't see any other game getting featured like that. Unless it's an existing IP with new gameplay. It's probably whatever game miyamoto has been working on.

Who ever is going to this thing, please get Sakurai to acknowledge the Ridley hysteria. There is no bigger topic than Ridley in the Smash community right now. It devides people and ruins relationships. Doesn't matter if you are fer it or again it, doesn't matter if you don't anknowledge it, it exists.

It's not gonna be explained in-game why Ridley isn't a playable character (if he isn't...), so I would like to hear from Sakurai why that is so. Hopefully, his explanation is just, "Too big."

Anyways, Majora's Mask 3DS makes the most sense, sadly. Games like F-Zero and Metroid -- while big -- aren't as big as Zelda.

Some of the discussions here are amusing.

However, I would like to guess that we might get Diddy Kong Racing 3DS! That would explain lack of Kongs in the game, unless we are getting BANANANANA KONG DLC PACK!

Ugh...I get the feeling you're right, which means it will likely be something I completely loathe, but the kiddies will love it.

I want to say it's either Metroid or 3D Land 2, but I don't think either of those games would require 90 minute explanations. Which leads me to believe it's something big, like maybe a cross-over or some kind of unprecedented partnership with a third-party.

Maybe a handheld game from Monolith? That could be really cool.

Exciting But Not Really Going to Happen Possibility: A new Metroid or Advance Wars
Boring But More Realistic Possibility: Majora's Mask 3D where they talk about how they've changed some things more than you'd expect
Realistic Possibility: "As you can see, when you add the figurine to the pedestal, Mario will appear in the game. You'll be playing Nintendo Figurine Rumble this fall on the Wii U, but the 3DS version will come next spring and have more exciting features."

This did not cross my mind and now any excitement I had is completely deflated because it is the most probable outcome.

But why would you have a meeting about a remake? What is there else to say?

Reimagining? :p The only thing they'd do these for are brand new games. And brand new games in either existing major franchises (pokemon, mario, zelda, smash), or brand new IPs.

Or this.

Honestly, neither of those would surprise me too much. They definitely wouldn't do one for a remake or a straight-forward game like Mario. Most major Nintendo franchises have now had one installment on 3DS. There aren't many left that haven't. Which leads me to believe this will be something no one can predict.
