Yeah, Toriko's art is fine on monochrome. It just the coloring that isn't very good.
I never read it but I does see it a lot from friends who occasionally shared it on local forum

I really enjoyed this chapter. Didn't expect that plot twist to happen. So how many masterminds have been pulling the strings this whole time?

First we all thought Pain was the big bad boss of Akatsuki only to find out he was actually playing second fiddle to Tobi who took on the persona of Madara and was directing Akatsuki. Only to then find out that nope, Tobi/Obito was playing second fiddle to the true Madara and it was he who created the Akatsuki organisation and passed his plans and will along to Obito. And now comes Black Zetsu plotting behind Madara for Kaguya's appearance. Wouldn't be surprised if we have bunny aliens after her. Enjoyed it though.

Well Ichigo is back and while him showing up and basically mopping the floor with the first guys he runs into is nothing new, it's nice to see him back in action. I'm expecting ongoing fights up until near the end of the series at this point.

Oh no...not Kaguya...Seriously though why did we get this twist with black zetsu? Will the twists never end?

One Piece

Zoro might actually get to show off his badass skills in the next few weeks and we will finally get that tragic Law backstory. I hope Oda rests up and recovers from his surgery.

I'm glad it's back but the whole series deserves a re-read at this point because there was a ton of stuff I just barely got. It's been far too long. Far too long. Let's hope Togashi keeps up with it for at least a little while.

Can't say I like the twist. Madara was already a great villain for the end of this series, without divine intervention. I liked the Kaguya lore when it was first introduced but I didn't want it integrated into the current timeline.

One Piece

Luffy's face when the two assassins came along was priceless! Not used to random people following his crazy escapades so closely I guess. Did Pica just change forms because he wasn't able to take advantage of the giant form when they could so easily counter? Or because the head is some kind of vital spot, I don't know. Finally time for some Law backstory, about damn time. :)

I sincerely hope the rest of the Gourmet World isn't this lazy. Montage of how they get through all the hazards, woohoo! I enjoyed the traversal aspects of the earlier arcs. Joa stuff is very interesting.

It's back! I had to read this chapter a few times, a ton of setup. From what I gather:

- There is some sort of gatekeeper to the DC. My guess is that the wall/gate that was shown itself is some sort of Nen construct to keep people out.
- Netero and Beyond already went to the DC. Netero ventured into a previously explored area, while Beyond decided to go into the unexplored portions and encountered the calamities that are shown.
- Netero wants the Hunter Association to have their own expedition team to counter Kakin's team. For glory!
- Beyond wants to enter a kind of truce with the association. Dude is definitely not just brawn, he knows what he is doing.
- The calamities are less 'if people go there everyone will die' and more 'if any of this stuff comes to the human world we will all die' like with the Chimera Ants.

So I guess we won't be getting a 'hunt Beyond' arc. My guess is that it will center around the association's expedition group, which Gon will sign up for.

To me this is just THIS ISN'T MY FINAL FORM nonsense. Some of the dreams were heartbreaking (Tsunade's and Gaara's) while most tend to be more shit I expect from Kishi girls get their dream boy! Shikamaru's was hilarious. Sasuke with that truthbomb. You are now Sakura tier Kakashi. Ouch.

I hope Sakura and Kakashi do SOMETHING for the final fight.

Decent chapter. I figured Zoro would fight Pica (LOL at the octave insult) and Luffy/Law would be against Donflamingo with the other strawhats squaring off against the heads of the Donflamingo family.

I'm really glad he picked up right where he left off, and he's even hyping the Dark Continent a lot. I'm super excited to see the chapters coming in the future, and how Beyond plans to interact with the Zodiacs, as well as those 5 calamities. Don't quit too soon, Togashi!

I got the impression that those 5 calamities shown are what got into the human world because of Beyond. And that the hunter expedition isn't to counter Beyond's, more like Netero thinks a team led by Beyond will fail again so he wants someone from the organization do it it.

Considering Beyond's findings are a public book, I'm really interested to know what he's thinking. He can't just be thinking his prior knowledge will help this time.

Beyond is definitely trying to get on the Zodiacs good side, so I'm guessing he's either going to ask them to join up with him, or try to convince them not to interfere, but yeah that's what I gather about what Netero said too.

The calamities are just what was brought back from the DC, so I can't even imagine what's going to be there for real.

I don't think Beyond is to blame for all five: there were other expeditions before him, apparently. But it seems that whenever they give it a try, they come back with a nasty souvenir, yeah.

And that the hunter expedition isn't to counter Beyond's, more like Netero thinks a team led by Beyond will fail again so he wants someone from the organization do it it.

He wants the association to mount a successful expedition before Beyond and to try and find a remedy to one of the calamities. Basically, to come back with a nice souvenir, for a change.

It doesn't say that the Beyond Report is public. They talk about an old (centuries old) book about an expedition to the dark continent book that used to be widely available, but that's all.

I just meant that Beyond's knowledge is public in the sense that it isn't a secret he kept to himself (since there's a Beyond Report). It was pretty clear that the book isn't the report.

Also one of the seats of the Blue Nitro (Gourmet Nobles are empty)... There are eight seats I guess for eight dishes... maybe Pear is missing

+ The arc is likely the spaceship we saw before

For those who think Sasuke is an asshole, don't you people find it even more annoying that people like Naruto and Sakura cling to him?

Sakura's co-dependency is really angering and Naruto's obnoxious obsession with "saving Sasuke" gets on my nerves even more than Sasuke's childish rants.

That being said, I didn't see the plot twist coming, but it also didn't surprise me. I've been so consistently disappointed with the manga that even such a big twist didn't generate any reaction in me.

Dream sequences were funny, though.

the luffy/zoro dynamic...

way way back with whiskey peak, zoro tried to fight with luffy, but now, zoro seems fully settled in his spot as a subordinate. feeling his duty is to let luffy fight big boss dofla, he engages himself to fight the henchman pica. pica is not worth of his captain.
