it was pretty shit apart, when one of your biggest games is a hd remake collection it's not a great conference

scalebound was a surprise though and crackdown maybe? but crackdown 2 was crap so fuck knows whether this one will be any good

no hope for dragon age being any good after 2

erm nothing else really notable, bunch of multiplatform games that will be enjoyed more on pc

I'll say this, the cloth physics in Assassins Creed looked good. It's what I always expected from a next gen Assassins Creed

The new COD game also looked as good as Battlefield, finally.
Gameplay will blow, but at least it will look good.

The only things that interested me was Tomb Raider and The Division. Nothing was shown that made me want to go out and buy an Xbox.

Also: #kinectisdead

Pro: Game after game after game. Ori looked stunning. Glad to see return of Crackdown and Phantom Dust

Con: Tons of multiplats that'll run better on the competition, no real megatons, too many CGI only trailers

7.25/10

Get out of my head. My thought to a letter. Crackdown being the possible god game.

Some great looking indie games. I mean GREAT.

Kamiya interestes me.

I loved Phantom Dust back in the day, but I'll have to see what they are doing to it now.

Same with Crackdown.

I want to love Sunset Overdrive, but something isn't doing it for me.

Horizon 2 will probably be a lot of fun.

Not the biggest Halo guy but I enjoyed all the games until 4. It was dull. Not excited about the series with 343. And Reach is the best in the series and not in the collection so that's a shame.

Some good stuff that I'll enjoy playing when I get a X1, but nothing that makes me want to get one now.

The only thing I really don't get from complaints is people saying it was "safe" like that's a bad thing. Not being safe leads to Kinect demos, TV talk, and a whole bunch of other garbage, so I really don't understand how they can have a great conference and not be safe. If they dropped some megaton, that'd be safe too because they know it will get people hyped.

Wow, didn't expect so many negative reactions. I thought it was a well paced gamespacked show...

We will see the real opinions tomorrow. Though I'm guessing Sony just need to show trailers of Project Beast, Last Guardian and announced a fall date for Last of Us and someone people will still say Sony won E3.

We will know later when compared to Sony, which really needs to impress. This conference was full on games. Full on Xbox One games.

Is there a list somewhere of exclusives that were shown during the conference? Was a bit hard to keep track of at times with all the multiplats, especially first half.

EDIT: Ah, saw it above.

That was a dick move showing conker at the end of project spark, I thought they were going to show a trailer of a new conker game. Man I'm so mad.

+ Crackdown 3
+ Halo Collection, I haven't played a Halo game before so this is the game for me
+ Sunset Overdrive, this game looks too damn fun. Best game of the show for me
+ Dead Rising 3 title joke. Not the game, just the joke title lol
+ Fable Legends looks decent, but I'll need more gameplay before getting interested
+ Witcher and The Division gameplay
+ Was just showing games after games, no BS this time. Phil Spencer pulled through

- Spent about 40mins on COD and Forza. I'm not interested in Forza (somewhat interested in COD), so it's just a personal negative
- Conker in Spark, not his own game (I'm seriously pissed by this, made me a bit salty after I saw that)
- A lot more trailers, then gameplay for some games.

Overall, it was pretty good. I'm actually thinking about getting an Xbox One now. I can't wait to see more of Sunset Overdrive. Not sure how I feel about Platinum's game. The character reminds me too much of DMC Dante in design. I just didn't see too much that interested me in the trailer, so I'll have to see actual gameplay before judging.

Wasn't too impressed, for the hardcore gamer they need to address the serious concern that the console is under-powered compared to the PS4.

They needed to show exclusive games that blow the 1st gen PS4 titles out the water, instead they showed a load of CGI clips of multi-platform or timed-exclusive titles.

It was a good showing for games, but as a PS4 owner it left me feeling pretty smug in my decision to go single console this gen.

No bombs were dropped but overall a solid conference. 8/10 Standouts were Sunset Overdrive and the indie games.

I give MS a solid A. The best E3 presentation I have ever seen. May upgrade to A+ if Sony underwhelms because i grade on a curve.

One of the best conferences I can remember. Games, period. No BS..hardly even gave Dance Central any time, which was awesome.

Those complaining about CG...what do you expect for games that don't even have a release date? To know they are making them used to be enough..I am confused.

SO stole the show. It looked fab, lots of fun. Outside of that I was pretty bored.

It was a solid conference and MS concentrated on games which they should do, but it lacked a wow factor. It lacked unique new 1st party IPs that aren't Halo, Forza and Fable. Far too much reliance of those safe, same old franchises and goddman stupid timed exclusive DLC.

Far too many CG trailers that might as well should have shown a logo for what they were worth.

It was a far better conference than they've had in a long time, but by default of Don Mattrick not being there, it was always going to be. Good overall but just a little boring and lacked surprises or punch outside of SO.

Could do better... 7/10

Yeah but's its NerdBurglars, they had an Article yesterday about how the Xbox brand ruined everything this generations for everybody. A bunch of fanboys just trying to find stuff to be angry about.

If anything I would love that they complained about the criminal way how :
"Conkers" was abused for Project Spark

Not sure why people are surprised that most of the games were known and there was barely any gameplay and just CGI..

No matter how much money Microsoft throws at it's studios it can't undo it's entire approach to this generation in a few short months.. As much as they are talking about games now, clearly games were not a priority in the lead up to the launch of the Xbox One and so most of what you see now is being either rushed to completion or barely exists outside of a concept CGI trailer. And remember that the Xbox 360 was a classic Microsoft product in that it didn't really do anything better than the competition (bar maybe multiplayer), it was cheaper and it money hatted third party content - given it's position in the market now, the possibility of those money hats has gone and so you are never going to see as many surprising first party announcements as Sony or Nintendo can provide.

I don't know if I expect Sony's conference to be full of megatons or not but for me that was a predictably dull showing.

Sorry guys but I thought it was awful.

No megatons, lots of CGI, lots of bullshit timed (moneyhatted) exclusive DLC that makes no difference in the grand scheme of things.

For xbox diehards I can see why they may have seen it as good since there's a lot of nostalgia announced but for everyone else... What are the selling points? Where is that new IP console exclusive to draw people in and define a generation in the way that Gears of War did?

I cannot believe they blew their load before e3 for that. If they had announced the kinnectless version and Forza horizon 2 at this with some gameplay I would have been hyped but they decided to drip feed that to us prior to the conference for some unknown reason.

Not to mention the fact that they are sitting on Rare and wasting all of their IP's and their talent/creativity.

Easy conference for Sony to beat, all they have to do is show some gameplay and some new innovative hardware/ideas (VR, PS Now).

Yep, after this I know MS wont win this E3 , even a Nintendo surprise can surpass it.

Conference was good but not game changers were showed.

Baron Aloha

A Shining Example
People marking it down because it "Lacked Surprise Announcements" - are you kidding me? You're not judging it on the content but by the surprises? Especially when you knew half of the stuff was leaked beforehand. Wow.

Surprises go hand and hand with E3. People expect them at press conferences such as these. For example: FFXIII for Xbox 360 was a big surprise a few years ago (however bad the game turned out). When people's expectations aren't met they tend to rate things lower. Its only natural. The same can (and will) be said for Nintendo and Sony's conferences should they lack any surprises.

As a PS4 owner, the show was okay.
The focus was spot on with only games and nearly no unnessary talk.
However, the games shown we're pretty much Xbox centric franchises and not really my type.

Great for fans though, hopefully they will really invest into new IPs.

3rd party stuff was great.

Thumbs up from me.
Pretty good conference overall.

I'm going to avoid leaks as much as possible next year though.

The Witcher 3 demo- IN MY VEINS!

I thought it was briskly paced for the best! Some great titles coming out- for me, Forza Horizon and Sunset Overdrive would definitely compel me to pick up the system come September! And no Kinect means more happiness!

I think the bigger announcements of Crackdown 3 and the Master Chief Collection were very solid, if a bit expected. But I really enjoyed their conference. Games games games!

Not bad, but not enough surprises. Or surprises that I'd like to see.

Nice to see focus on games, but their quality wasn't very special for my taste.

Bad game selection I guess , but that sounds too harsh. I was just expecting more.
