Look at that GIF. Link uses his finger to pull out the energy blade end of the arrow. That shit is legit.

I think Link's a girl. They didn't reveal Link's face until the final screen, and the body type, face, and hair make me think it might be a girl. If it's not a girl I'm not a fan of his design.

The screenshots in the OP didn't do much for me. I thought it looked washed out.

But those gifs!

Wow! Seeing it in movement is night and day. Looks fucking awesome!

I know it's just a cinematic but god damn. They've actually shown some ambition to do what they said, change what people think of Zelda and they're not resting on their laurels with this Zelda game.

I'm not entirely convinced they can pull it off.
When I first saw Twilight Princess at E3 I thought it would be like how they describe here, but it just didn't turn out like that original trailer...
Nevertheless I'm still very interested and I hope they do create this vision shown in the trailer.

I really like the art style of most Zeldas. LttP (alongside Chrono Trigger, FF6, and FF4) is like the video game equivalent of my parents' house. OoT was 3D done right. I personally found Wind Waker to be in the most beautiful games of it's generation (alongside Ico and SotC).

All that said, this is hands down the single most beautiful Zelda ever, and not just because it's on an HD console. It is a perfect amalgamation of Zelda art styling through time. While Wind Waker was a call back to the LttP cartoon designs and TP + SS where more like the next steps from OoT and MM this is basically all of them being used together.

Simply beautiful. Low powered console but if this beats Uncharted 4 it'll have the best looking game of the generation for a little while (in my opinion at least).

This is straight from the heart of Nintendo game design. Some inspiration from the best of third parties, some inspiration from the best the worlds of animation and film has to offer, but a nice dose of originality and topped off with a uniquely Nintendo flare for polish that makes it clearly stand apart.

Bravo Nintendo. Bravo Aonuma. This is the undisputed Game of the Show.

The "completely different" Zelda wasn't ever presented as an actual game though.

You're making a poor analogy.

I'm just saying we've seen a couple of E3 Zelda sequences in the past that never eventuated, so I'll wait on this and not buy into the hype just yet. Been burnt before.

It looks amazing yeah and it 'should' be what we end up playing, but they've done this before...

I knew it was never going to match the tech demo on a technical/visual level, but I really wish they kept the more realistic art style. I cannot stand cartoony Link.

New Zelda shown and I'm not excited one bit :(

Looks reaaally good.

Not a huge fan of Link's face though. Maybe he looks too young, maybe it's they eyes but something seems off to me

No offense but you are all accepting this will be the game that releases.

You would have all said the same at the first footage (of the completely different visual style) Zelda shown at the previous E3.

May as well be labelled with the rest of E3's 'concepts' really.

the Zelda thing they showed last time was a concept to show off the Wii U, it wasnt a concept for zelda as much.

It looks awesome, and I will certainly buy a wiiu for it, however this was the worst zelda reveal yet imo. It was just so anticlimactic.

Loving the art style, we definitely need less gritty action games these days. So pretty and painting like. This is how I wish gaming looked most of the time. When this hits it'll buy a WiiU again :D

In some ways its visually akin to that Xbox one game, project overdrive is it? The one that's like ratchet and clank with zombies.

Man I really want more fun looking games like these.

OH. MY. GOD.

GOOD GOD.

SO....SO...lets not even talk about how the game looked yet.

THE BEGINNING. Where he likens his design philosophy to the first Zelda.

YES YES YES YES YES YES.

INCREDIBLE. LOVE it. LOVE. IT.

And then how the game and especially Link looks!? OMFG.

A+. A+. YES. This is what I want to see.

I thought it was pretty cool and bold that they showed Link in the blue casual outfit and only using the bow and "arrows".

Show me an example of a Nintendo game whose final product was deceptively different or downgraded from a preview. (Spaceworld Zelda was a tech demo.)

This entirely in-engine because Nintendo has never shown their games in any other way.

I find it quite interesting that Link has a horse, a bow and some sort of special arrow but no sword. It's almost as if he starts with with just those... I wonder if he starts the game as a nomad.
