I don't see why Splatoon is so popular. Is it just that it's a Nintendo title that was revealed at E3?
Oh shit. I completely scrolled past it when I was looking for fighting games and I skipped it. I'll edit!
5 points away from Grim Fandango! Insane.Nothing I can disagree with, I thought GTA V would be higher though. That Halo Collection is very impressive though
I simply looks fun.
437 NeoGAF members that are confirmed to be awesome. My most anticipated game is Splatoon, I had it as my number one. Glad it did well with the votes!

I'm not a fan of FPS/TPS or multiplayer games and even I think it looks incredibly fun.
Ugh...
Yes Zelda WiiU wins return of the king
I find categories weird because so many modern games are mixing stuff. Fighting and racing games are the last bastion of clearly defined boundaries so that's why I choose those.
It looks ok, nothing extraordinary. The hype seems more due to the nature of Nintendo fandom than the game itself.
I'd say fabulous top 10.Fucking fabulous top 3. GAF doesn't disappoint.
I love the ability to touch the map to jump to a place where enemies have penetrated your defenses. It simply looks fun.
No.Will be insightful to compare this list, with selling numbers next year (where it applies). Does early interest match with final selling?
Not surprised by the 5 top titles. Generated most of the talk during this E3.
If any, it's interesting that names like The Order 1886, The Division, AC:Unity, Mass Effect, BF:Hardline, etc didn't capitalize on good will, given how high profile they are supposed to be.

If Mass Effect was anything other than a sliver of a concept, it would be way higher. If it had gameplay it would be top ten easy.

Greetings to the Good Taste brigade and its 199 active members.Code:Game Name Mentions Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 199
That's one interpretation. I think it's SonyGAF's false flag operation to remove the Kinectless hype! It's cool to see the number of Nintendo games so high up. Really goes to show how good their E3 was.
I'd say fabulous top 10.
Expected, I guess. 2015 is gonna be glorious.

No.
It isn''t even correlated with final quality most of the time. I've voted for Scribblenauts and Sim City in these E3 votes and we all know how that turned out.
I disagree. It's the first time a new game mechanic has got me this excited since the first time I see Portal. I think that comparison made to Valve is actually pretty accurate.
People are already finding interesting ways to use it, hell we even have our first advanced movement technique ala Melee wavedashing and the game isn't even out yet.
Splatter dashing?
I just went out to compare this list to top media sources... and I probably shouldn't have.
IGN's nominations are horrid, holy shit: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/12/igns-best-of-e3-2014-awards
Thank you for being GAF, GAF

Someone mentioned Dance Central Spoltlight
This again? I could have zero interest in Nintendo and would still think Splatoon is the game of the show. It just looks damn fun and has some incredibly fresh game mechanics. I said it before in other threads, but I could totally see a less Steam-focused Valve make a game like Splatoon (the style is charming like TF2 while the mechanics are incredibly fresh like Portal 1 & 2). That being said, being made by Nintendo is just a nice bonus, because we know it'll be pretty polished at launch.

No Splatoon, Bayonetta, Xenoblade Chronicles X, just... wat
