Well, here is the biggest news this month, Vita is back to life, FPS bundle 56k.

Yesss!!!!! *Crosses fingers that momentum carries on to next month at least some*. Though part of me is not surprised it saw a boost, I saw a lot of people saying they got a Vita the past month. There did seem to be a lot of interest in it recently.

I just can't.. if Vita actually outsold Xbox One I don't know what I would do.

I'd celebrate! Don't care if the One does well (and honestly, it doesn't say bad about the One as people could be holding out for the kinectless bundle so it's not bad for the one) but the fact Vita sold enough to outsell a console, that'd be nice.

it gonna crash next month tho ;_;

Hey, don't be a downer :p.

Pent up demand is always forgotten. I seriously hope no one believed last months 3k were an accurate representation of demand *angry looks*

Yeah, honestly, I kept wondering if a lot of the low sales were people waiting for the Borderlands bundle or not being able to find a Vita as I am pretty sure Sony was trying to get rid of old stock first so stock was dwindling (Which is why introduce the new Vita so late).

No, it's just the 2000+FPS game bundle, which is about 99% of total.
FPS game standalone: 27k

.....That's really good for Borderlands considering it's on the Vita and it's a port (and not a very good port at that). I wonder what it would have sold if it ran closer to the console versions.

The poster said "shambles the console market is in." I always appreciate the dropping of iOS/Android mobile takeover but is the XB1 and PS4 not tracking ahead against their last gen counterparts? Also YOY everything is looking great. The only negative we've seen so far is we probably won't have another Wii situation which was a huge anomaly anyway.

So... how is the console market in shambles, tatters, dire straits again?

Those specific words? Not defending that at all. The console market isn't under any threat of imminent collapse, but it is (As I said) in the midst of a fairly long contraction period while other gaming avenues continue to grow (not just iOS and Android, but PC, too).

Maybe they should double down on software that uses the gamepad while simultaneously unbundling it. The people who really want gamepad games will buy the gamepad to play them, and for everyone else there's a $150 Wii U that's well into impulse buy territory.

How to piss off moms worldwide.

370k < ∞ < 380k, bundle ~ 6.6%

Bundle ~25K, meaning #2 on the All Formats chart is ~350K. Thanks!

Dogs Watch
4 ~ 46%
o ~ 29%
360 ~ 14%
3 ~ 11%

Total > 1.25M

#1. PS4 Watch_Dogs - ~575K
#2. XB1 Watch_Dogs - ~365K
#3. WIU Mario Kart 8 - ~350K (+ another 25K bundles + digital => ~450K or thereabouts)

Edit:
Watch_Dogs Xbox One needs to be above 370K because of MK8 estimates (370-380K).

MK8 estimates include the bundle, which wouldn't impact the single SKU chart positions.

So if MK8 was 370k< X < 380k and the bundle accounted for 6.6% of total sales, then MK8 bundle sold ~25k wii u's in 2 days. Am I reading that right, so the system had sold roughly 45k units prior to the game launch,

then divide that 45k by what 29 days, is 1550 roughly, and then do the Reggie quote math of 4.1 per day sales after launch, so we can say Wii U possibly sold 1550*4.1*11days? = 68275 through that quote? Is that reasonable? And if we assume the system went right back to 1500 a day, well lets be fair, 1200 a day for the final 19 days in June post quote, you would add roughly 22800, so 91k in June at worst?

That won't save the Wii U, they need to have that 6k a day maintain into July, but with no new games till really August it will be tough.

Still I can say Wii U will be at roughly 90K plus for June, and probably well over 100k.

What was the VIta bundled with again (FPS? - whats the reference here?) I dont even remember...

Edit: Borderlands? Seriously? People bought so many Vitas for that? Makes it even more surprising.

I don't have any interest in the Vita at all, and yet it makes me so happy to notice that, while most expected the Wii U (which I do own) to beat the Xbox One, the Vita silently made its way up the ladder!

The problem is that new releases are more obvious and in your face. They're in weekly circulars as new, big games, they're new on shelves, there's significant zeitgeist around them. I can't think of an example of a game that was ignored at launch and six months to a year later became a major part of its sales base.

In Japan it seemed to happen with certain phenomenon type games. Youkai Watch is a recent example (mostly due to the anime) and Pokemon I think had this as well.

Food for thought.

MK8 bundle sold ~25K of the 60K WIIU's or about 42% of all units sold. That bundle was only available for the last 2 DAYS of the month. This thing could be HUGE in June.
