15 minute warning. I'm sure lurkers have had time to get 5 posts by now.

2 games are Bad Rats. 1 game is any game that goes on sale as a Daily/Flash deal from now until the end of the sale. May the odds be ever in your favor.

You must accept Bad Rats if you "win" it.

Entered. What the hell. What's the worst that can happen?

Following his logic, I'm saying it's a more noteworthy game than Divinity: Original Sin because it has a greater % off for the sale. That is all.

I think what a lot of people mean by "It doesn't belong as a front-page sale" is that, sure, it's a fantastic game. But if I have the choice between a fantastic game for $5, or a fantastic game for $32, I'll take the cheaper one.

And if I was super-hyped for the $32, I would've bought it on launch anyway. Honestly, I'm confused about who a 20% off sale like that is for. Like, who thought $40 was too much on launch day, but $32 five months later is a good deal?

All the power to you if it works for you though.

Edit:

Also, it's a more noteworthy sale, not a more noteworthy game. This is a sale thread. *shrug*.

To each their own, though.

Team blue for me.

My mouse has hovered over buy now on far cry 3 and xcom for a while now. I'm having some difficulty committing

I think my first bit of steam sale damage is going to be cook, serve, delicious it's a measly 4 dollars and I've been a bad gaffer for not buying so far.

also considering pac-man museum since it's 75% off. I defy the daily deal rule just to piss people off.

Ha, just boarded this crazy train and got put on team BLUE.

Crafted my Blade Kitten badge so I at least contributed something. Damn those cards are going for decent prices now in the market. So is the emoticon and background that got dropped.

This is like the fifth time I am tempted to buy Mirrors Edge on a steam sale, even if I finished it two times on the PS3 ages ago. lol At this price I cant really blame myself.

Team blue here.

Awesome timing for a Steam sale with my new PC coming this week.

What games would be good to keep an eye out for that will test out my rig? I've got The Witcher 2 already.

Just bought Dead Island: Riptide. Hope it wasn't a waste

Did you play the first Dead Island? I really liked it, but I feel like you can't play this game if you finished the previous one... it was so damn long, and this one is basically the same game if I understand correctly

Well, the game a) isn't even out yet, and b) can't really go lower than what the backers have already paid.

If what you're here for is genuinely excellent games, Divinity: Original Sin certainly fits the bill. If what you're strictly here for is 75% off games you'll never bother to play, maybe not. :p

It's of course totally understandable if someone is interested in the game but wants to hold off until a better sale, but make no mistake, it's a legit game and any fan of CRPGs would find a great deal to like there. So if you can squeeze it into your summer gaming budget, you could do a lot worse.
Exactly. Larian has to walk a line here between not breaking their promises to backers and trying to move copies during the sale. And they've done so the best way they could IMHO.
