New Bloodborne gameplay trailer

It doesn't look like the game is currently running at 1080p (based off the gamersyde footage).

I saw the same footage and it looked 1080p to me, just doesn't seem to have much anti aliasing.

Some parts look 1080p, other parts look blurry, maybe just the DOF they use?

I can't remember the last time I was this hyped for a game. Maybe when I was waiting for Ocarina of Time? That's the last time I can remember ever being this hyped. This is the king of all hypes for me. Every inch of this game looks like it was made to fit my tastes. I have not seen a single objectionable thing to any element of this game.

I am fully ready and prepared for it to release and it to suck and me to criticize the shit out of it, I ain't no fanboy. But my fucking christ if they haven't hit every fucking note right so far. I can't be more hyped, it is impossible.

The Souls games sound intimidating as hell to me, but this looks wicked cool. The atmosphere is more up my alley, I think this'll pull me in for a try.

Possibly the greatest fault of the Dark Souls community is how much they tried to emphasise this point even though it isn't true.
It's a shame because the game deserves to be given a good try by everyone.

If you grew up around the NES and SNES, the difficulty and even the accessibility of Demons/Dark Souls is a cake walk.

There's a great youtube let's play by a woman called Kay that didn't play that many video games before, but gave the series a try and very quickly became good at it.

Oh my god...a fellow gamer understands how a gamer can be truly trained in the ancient arts of gameplay.....the NES/SNES/Genesis days are more than enough to prepare any gamer for these "difficult" games of today. Not to say that there aren't any but come on....you've hit it RIGHT on the head and my god....are these the same folks who did (or do) Armored Core...? Damn I can't imagine that on PS4 now that I think about it....

Hey, we finally got (brief) confirmation of weapon switching (not that there was any doubt) and two-handed weapons, (yes!) so this trailer was relevant to my interests.

it really is a horror souls game...goddamn From Software, just take my money

This will probably be my first PS4 game when I get a PS4, is there a difficulty setting on Demon Souls because I could barely get passed the first two bosses on Dark Souls (360).

If every person played videogames like Kay, we wouldn't have some of the "issues" that we have with modern game design. If you'd go by those same trends, then she is the exception and not the rule for today's audience.

Everyone should give the series a try, because it's good. I think it's bullshit when people act like it's "easy", because it's not.

Or even Megaman 1/2, those games would never make it past focus groups nowadays. Maybe rightfully so, but the point is that most of us (and even gamers that are a little younger) have had far more difficult games to play in our youth.

I don't think the games are easy by any means, nor did I mean to state that. The point is, the amount of time we spend talking about the Souls' series difficulty is disproportionate to how difficult it actually is, and deters a lot of gamers that would probably be quite good at it.

The games don't hold your hand, require you to think, and expect a little patience; doesn't mean that they are only accessible to "hardcore" players, and unfortunately a lot of players see it as a "hardcore" game and are intimidated by it, and Dan is an example of that.

You should go back to Dark and give it a more serious attempt. The first part of the game is the hardest, especially if you are new. After you play it awhile you will get better at it. Or maybe try your hand at DS2.

And no there is no difficulty setting for any of the souls games.

That's sorta false for Demon's Souls. If you play online right as I type this, From Software has it set on Pure White World Tendency for all worlds, which makes all enemies the esiest possible. If you start your character offline, they are set to neutral WT, which makes it much harder.

And of course, there's Pure Black WT.

Sweet mother of Jesus! I want this game so bad.

I wonder if the narrative is a hint of different day and night play styles?
