This game looks hella fun, and more importantly its DIFFERENT. I can't remember the last time i saw a trailer and though 'WTF did i just watch?' (in a good way, ofcourse)

Man this game looks fucking amazing. This will definitely be a day one for me.
And this will come out during the next 6 months?

I could be wrong about the "locked" part. Knowing Fromsoft....

Dude, don't be wrong. I don't want another Blightown.

Seriously, this game should have absolute lock on 30 FPS. I looks drop dead gorgeous, but I've seen better on PS4, running above 30 FPS (Infamous).

Why would you expect it? They've never been known to give the best of the best in terms of graphics or framerate for three games now.

Is Demon's Souls the only one Miyazaki is only going to take from?

Everything they've said points to this.

They are drawing a lot from DeS but I think it's a big stretch to say it's "the only one." Especially since Miyazaki has mentioned multiple times that BB was never intended to be a DeS follow up. The oppressive atmosphere is most like DeS but with an even more extreme horror vibe. First and foremost I believe it's intended to be something new, while still informed by From's development history and influences.

So the whole thing never even started as Demon’s Souls 2. That definitely sounds like SCE, even if it’s a little crazy.

Miyazaki: Yes. Those of us actually working on the game never even considered making it Demon’s Souls 2. Even looking at it objectively, it does seem like a very SCE-like decision.

Famitsu Interview:
Miyazaki: "Back in 2012, before the announcement of the PS4, [Sony Computer Entertainment] originally approached us with the idea, ‘would you be interested in making a new game for new hardware?’ so this was never considered as a Demon’s Souls II."

“We were already thinking of a shift to a combat system where you would enter battle more actively than the sword and shield-based combat of Demon’s."

Because we are no longer talking about "hard to code for" PS3, but much more powerful hardware that's "easy to work with" according to many developers.

At any rate, this being a very important exclusive, I fully expect Sony to put pressure on FS to iron out any performance problems.

Also, are there any reports from the show floor about this game? I haven't seen any impression threads and I'm dying to read some.

That's just awesome these guys fit together so well. They should just keep getting together every once in a while and make a game. Even outside of the souls style I feel they could do some great things.

It's basically Berserk, DMC1 and Dark Souls combined into perfection.
Drawing inspiration from one of these things would be plenty enough. But this game's going for an all out gangbang

Also, it's going to come out in January is my guess. They said six months and that would be in February but that month is already too crowded so January.

The pre-order page on the PSN Store says Spring 2015. That would put the release date at the end of March, at the earliest. Hopefully, it'll come sooner though!!

Jesus. This game is just pouring with atmosphere. It's basically: Atmosphere, The Game.

This is my most anticipated everything right now. No movie, book, TV show, or game tops it. I need this shit.
Same here, I can't even think of a single movie I would want to see I just want Bloodborne.

A pretty substantial jump over the leaked trailer in terms of detail.

That said, I hope the track used in the leaked trailer will be used in the final game.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Sorry guys for no response

The art style is fan-fucking-tastic. Looks like there will be some cool stuff with weapons too.
I don't know if the main character's animations are placeholder, but they seem a bit janky for now though.

Targeting??

Please don't tell me it's ever going to dip below 30? That would be serious baloney

All Souls games had a shit framerate on PS3. Since people were fine with it, I can't see the devs changing their stance towards framerate. It's a shame that this isn't coming to PC, since experiencing souls at 60FPS was a complete new level of enjoyment.

It won't be a technical marvel. The visual appeal of souls is within the art style. If you couldn't past the older games, this one probably won't work too well for you either.

I'm pretty content with 30 FPS, so long as its actually 30 FPS and not Blighttown. That place could have been the best place for invasions, but the slow down just made it to much of a pain to bother with.

The darkness, the atmosphere, the graphics, the sound, the Crows, the Wolves, the creature design, the dodging, the combat, the Maiden.

My God I want this so bad. Looks absolutely perfect.

one of the reasons why I never got myself to play dragon souls/demon souls games were the damn bad graphics.
That's a crying shame of a reason to miss out on these games.

Also, with a better resolution, the games don't look bad at all. And Dark Souls 2, while not a graphical powerhouse by any means, looks pretty damn good on the PC.

Tempted to try and play through DkS1 or 2 with no shields just to try and feel for what it's like to fight without a slab of metal/wood between me and a painful death..
