HD collection would be amazing, I'd definitely get that. I was an idiot and sold Twin Snakes and MGS2 because I was awful at them. MGS 4 and GZ are the only games I have right now.
Easily worth $20 if you're going to play for gameplay not story though IMO. TPP also seems like it's going to be a lot more gameplay heavy. Which I'm super happy about, personally. I enjoyed MGS4's gameplay a lot but...man them load times and cutscenes make it very hard to replay.

Yeah, I finally played Ground zeroes over the weekend and it completely sold me on MGSV and I knew that i'd need a PS4 day one w/ MGSV. Looks like I'll be PC/WiiU/3DS for a while longer, if this is day-1 release on PC. If it's like 6mo to 1 year later, i'll probably get a PS4 still, but I'll eventually double dip.

I know you're getting piled on right now (oh, GAF) but you're right in that more sales for a traditionally console-bound series will sell more on console. Thing is, it doesn't really matter. There will be sales of this product on PC too. You're going to see a lot more Japanese support on PC this generation than the previous ones so I suggest you get used to it. Releasing only on current gen consoles isn't really going to pay the bills this gen. The PC being an easy port target from the xb1/ps4 helps, and it is likely that many Japanese devs are building their games on PC first anyway, as many current western studios do. Even if there's less sales, they're still sales.
