So from what you are saying, had MS bought Tomb Raider outright and published it you wouldnt have a problem with it? But since they only are paying for development and not publishing its not ok.
That is in fact the difference between these deals. Its ok to take a spinoff of a multi-platform franchise and make it exclusive but its not ok to help fund a multi-platform franchise for timed exclusivity.

Regional NFL / NHL of whatever it stands for is really major USA appeal only, sure way for MS to loose world wide. As a UK consumer it says to me we don't care about you brits, your not important...
Timed exclusives especially of single player games - why bother ? Ps4 just get a definitive version in 6 months or a version that runs better (see plants versus zombies).
MS like their timed stuff, always have, Mass effect / Bioshock etc
Maybe if they cared for the consumer they would put their money into creating and making their own IP games that would not otherwise be made ? You know, new stuff.

I just find it highly unlikely, is all. It's going to be a big game. I guess it depends how far it is into development right now, but them just showing off that brief teaser at E3 didn't give me the impression that it was anywhere near being finished.

It's like I'm trapped in my mind or something, it's an awful feeling. I popped a sleeping pill and everything earlier and if anything it made me more awake. For the past month and a half I've been barely sleeping for like half of every week now, basically I just keep staying awake until I collapse and sleep for 14 hours. It's the worst. The worst.
I feel like total shit right now and my doctor is off on Sunday
Hopefully your doctor visit will clear things up and it's nothing remotely serious.

No. The difference between them is that without Sony, Bloodborne would not exist. Full stop. It is a collaboration between Sony and From.
Tomb Raider, on the other hand, was already being developed. It did not need money to exist; it was a foregone conclusion that a sequel would come out.
Situation 1: Sony pays for new game. 1 game is added to PlayStation.
Situation 2: MS pays for a delayed release on other consoles. 0 games are added to Xbox, -1 games are added to PlayStation and PC.
Pretty damn obvious. But this has been said a million times already.

And those games will likely come out earlier than Wild.

I realize that, but every game you mentioned aside from Tomb Raider have been getting annual releases so those are to be expected. I really don't think Uncharted 4 will be a 2015 game.

oh i was being facetious. i honestly don't give a shit what ms does. and i'm actually happy they're attempting to turn it into a media box. least then it will give me a reason to turn it on. hopefully they get some new fantasy football apps.
i spend more time on neogaf than i do playing on my xbone. consoles and even my pc are dead to me. halo should give me the boost back to gaming, but i doubt it. i got a ps4 last week. it's sitting next to my wii u and xbone.. all collecting dust. maybe i'm not even a gamer anymore? i could really go for an ea skate game. worst thing i did in my life was trade in my 360 for an xbone. i don't think i'm a fanboy, but i defintely prefer xbox over sony and even pc. fuck my pc. piece of shit can't even run bl2 without screen tears. (i52500k and gtx680) maybe i need to wash the motherboard.

Demon's Souls was never multiplatform. Bloodborne is not either. They have and will always be exclusive properties for Sony. They might be working with another developer but Sony owns the actual IP for Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, they're footing the bill, and the game would not likely exist without Sony's support.Tomb Raider was always going to exist. It was announced at E3 as a multiplatform game, as everyone expected since Tomb Raider has always been one (PC + some consoles) since its inception. All of a sudden PC and Playstation platforms are locked out of this because Microsoft decided to pay Square Enix to do so.
Actually, if Microsoft bought the Tomb Raider IP and did something with it, I reckon people would be less annoyed and frustrated because they're actually creating games rather than blockading 2 platforms. People will still trash Microsoft since they don't trust them with any bought IP (see: Rare, FASA, Ensemble) but at least Xbox One owners might get new Tomb Raider games out of Microsoft's business deals.

Did THQ have a reliable franchise to milk so they can shit out money? Same goes to Crytek.
Ubisoft had/have Just Dance and AssAss ins Creed, EA have their whole sports Division, Actvision shit out bricks of gold no matter what they do, Capcom has Monster Hunter and Resident Evil, Take Two have Rockstar, Square Enix gained enough Final Fantasy money to buy out Eidos a couple of years ago etc etc. I find it very hard to believe none of these companies can't pull money out of their own ass to make a sequel to their respective franchises that are all but garunteed to sell in the millions.

Given that the PS4 version of Tomb Raider DE has nearly double the frame rate and better graphics comparative to the Xbox One version, I kind of think a 3-6 month wait for a better version of the game (be it PC or PS4) isn't such a bad deal either way. It's not like there won't be plenty of other exclusives to play Fall 2015. Rise of Tomb Raider will just make a nice filler for the spring/summer drought on the other platforms.

A lot of that sounds like me when I'm having major anxiety attacks, but of course that does sound more severe. Not writing it off as anxiety is good though, obviously, and should be checked out. Have you tried messing or tinkering with stuff, or any kind of general mind-numbing activities aside from trying to explain why this Tomb Raider situation is dumb as bricks?

last uncharted was 2011.
naughty dog has two teams, another one made tlou. and that tlou team started dev after uncharted 2 2009 and tlou released 2013. uc4 team started dev after uc3 2011 release. so uc4 would have had almost 4 years of dev by the time it releases.

Yeah, not sleeping sends your head loopy, and anxiety about sleep tends to breed more anxiety which leads to less, broken or zero sleep. Lack of sleep isn't going to do you any long-lasting harm, no matter how distressing it feels.
I also have long term anxiety, depression, and regular night terrors/insomnia/sleep problems, and I can guess how you're feeling, but you'll sleep in time, try not to stress yourself with ambulances and hospitals.

Dunno man, Last of Us can be a pretty high stress, emotionally taxing game lol. Maybe play something like The Journey, Flower, Hohokum etc instead.
The way I see it I own every Tomb Raider game on PS consoles and PC. I've been playing the games for decades.
Now if this game was fully exclusive to xbox I would hate it I admit but it would make sense at least. "Want Tomb Raider? then buy Xbox".
But what I get is "hey you can have the game, but you're going to have to wait as punishment for not owning and buying your games on xbox".
As others have said countless times this adds nothing to xbox fans, its just microsoft trying to punish everyone else. Just like how they tried to punish indies with the parity clause for having the nerve to release a game on another system first.
It comes across as a bullying tactic by Micrsoft and for that reason I'm glad they're getting their ass kicked at retail. Before xbox faithful get mad, it's good that the same happened to Sony and Nintendo too as they too abused their power when they were at the top.
Personally I'm disgusted with SE for allowing such a huge game with a long history behind it to be snapped up as an exclusive. I'm sure it will be on PC eventually but I'll wait until its dirt cheap now. Might as well since I have to wait for the gane anyway.
