So is it confirmed mic/camera is mandatory for completing the game?
Mic: Yes. Camera: No.
The mic was always necessary because you were always meant to re-enact a scene from Lisa's perspective which involved audio cues.

How do you force the teaser to start from the very beginning. It always drops me back near the final sequence if loops.
Possession works. As does the Hell method of looking at the writing on the wall and then moving back to the phone and focusing on it. There are ways to get the ending without a mic.
I don't think so.Do you need psn plus to download this?

I've narrowed it down to the MGS alert sound. First, I played it constantly, which, between the video lenght and the time it takes to sound everytime I click play, makes an alert sound every ~2secs. After 30s of the first alert sound, got a giggle. Then I tried waiting 2 extra seconds between play and I got it too. After that, I tried to play it every 15 secs, that is in 0s, 15s, 30s... and got it, fairly often by the 30s mark, and even sometimes before I even had time to play it a third time.
In every way I've tried, every now and then it takes a bit more time for the giggle to sound.
At least I know you don't need Kojima's soothing voice nor having to play it over and over again.
Nope. Just go to PSN and look for it. It should be free to download.
Not even the alert sound. Could be any sound or no sound at all.
I finished it twice from beginning to end. I could not find a "method" for the last puzzle and tried pretty much everything online without being able to identify something specific that works.
It seems pretty random so far.
Have to delete the save data or complete it and it'll start over from the beginning.
It is completable even if you're at the looping segment.
1) Loop the segment so you start fresh/reset bell.
2) Go to phone and point camera at it (don't need to R3)
3) Soon as the bell starts to chime, play this video's audio into your mic (Make damn certain your mic is switch to the ON position!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3Jwm5jsoWU
4) Keep playing it until you get baby giggle.
5) Soon as you get 1st giggle, turn to entrance and take 10 steps to force 2nd baby giggle.
6) Don't move yourself with the controller and just wait until it starts vibrating. Once vibrating keep waiting, don't move and you'll get 3rd baby giggle
7) Phone rings, go to it and R3 the phone until you hear "You've been chosen!"
8) Go to garage door (down the steps) and voila, end!
This looks just about confirmed; but I really doubt the specific clip mattered.
I think any repetitive sound played next to the phone is the key. Heck, maybe the repeated looping sounds of the cries could set it off, if heard through a mic.
I mentioned this in the stream; but I think the real objective is to repeat the numbers: "2-0-4-8 ... 63" as if chanting; while next to the phone into a mic. The numbers were far too significant in the teaser to not mean anything (sorry, the Kojima birthday thing is just silly). Even during the visual glitches; the strange voice is repeating these numbers.
Quick question, if you collect all the pieces of the picture, will Lisa attack and kill you?
What is about "Did you Rike it?" (I know about its story). What does it do ingame? Bring Kojima?
I haven't confirmed if she still does it after collecting all the pieces... but without all of them she will only attack/kill you once per play session. After she does it once, she won't do it again until you quit the game. (Not sure if that applies across the entire demo from start to finish though... there are multiple points where she may attack you. But for the final loop what I said certainly applies.)
Also, when there was a crash near the front door, I looked up and the girl/ghost was staring at me from the landing above and with that front light swing made it 10x creepier.
