You know what

I don't see it
Possibly b/c I gouged my eyes out at the thought of this

Interesting note, if you go through the characters on the CSS from the japanese eshop, going from left to right, top to bottom, Shulk is the 33rd character and Ike is the 18th. Both one lower than the number they're assigned
Yo Bowser Jr let's goooo
yep, noticed that laterThe other numbers don't fit though.
I didn't know Husbando Wars was showing in theaters already.
But if Bowser Jr was added, they'd both boost up by one! But apparently the numbers don't mean anything. It don't make sense since Shulk is at last row with third party characters.
Reflet (ruh-fley) -- there's no C.Reflect?
That's Robin's Japanese name?
Nope, but It's Reflecto in Americo so there's thatReflect?

Hmm, I can understand that.Luigi is still mainly a Super Mario character, so the mushroom makes sense for him, but Dr. Mario appears exclusively in Dr. Mario games. It just seems odd to associate him with the Mushroom Kingdom considering he debuted in a puzzle game developed by the Wario Land/Metroid guys.
At least you recognize it.Edited: Sorry about double post. >.<

I always love this jokes. lolNo, it's Reflet
Reflect is his Americo name

I just found it online and rotated it. I was going to make my own based on the Japanese box art, but the one I found looked close enough.Ryce's Dr. Mario symbol reminds me of the symbol for the Medical team in Peace Walker, just flipped around and less pixelatedBig Boss confirmed
Here is a list for characters with numbers.
19: Ike
20: Charizard
22: Diddy Kong
34: Shulk
Most of pictures were too small for me to tell.
God damn it, you guys.
Also, maaaan, Japan's getting the game in 13 days. That's bullshit.
The Melee community is extremely rough around the edges. The way that community was brought up has bred a lot of irrational people. You won't find many among the top level players, but the bottom dwellers can be utterly unbearable. Those kinds of people are going to become instinct after Smash 4 has been out for a while because it's going to unite the best of what the community has to offer and leave the rest in the dust. Look to the people Nintendo invited to the Smash invitational if you want a good example of the competitive community. Check out people like RelaxAlax, Mew2King, Toronto Joe, GimR, CT_Chibo, Keitaro...Aaaaaaand that thread perfectly encapsulates why I hate competitive Smash and the horrible community devoted to it.
I know not EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the community is an asshole like the ones in that thread and there are always exceptions, but I'll be damned if the "pro" Smash community doesn't do a damn good job of making it appear that 90% of them are total dicks. Hell, 95%.
I'm sure it's just a case of a vocal few ruining it for the rest of an otherwise sensible, friendly enough community, but ruin it they have.
God damn it, you guys.

Maybe the trailer gave you that impression but the game most definitely does not have a goofy 90s anime vibe. Like with Monolithsoft's other games there are significant plot twists. I think it's about 5 hours into the game where the story really begins.
In a previous page, there was a picture of the Mii Gunner with 40.
Which also proves that the Mii are being counted as separate characters, since there are only 40 officially revealed characters right now if we count them separately.
Alright, time for some hard-hitting analysis.
There's something that kind of bugs me about Shulk's alt. This is something I see with a lot of anime/video game guys, but it's especially egregious with Shulk. Looking at him, he's a pretty skinny dude. Legs, arms, shoulders, neck - there's not a lot of muscle on him. You can see his ribs. Yet he has inexplicably well-defined abs. How does that happen? How does a guy who has no discernible muscle anywhere else on his body have a perfect six-pack?
While I'm on the subject of Shulk's alt, what's the deal with his shoes? If Lucina's boots are the pinnacle of Smash fashion, these things are the absolute depths. They're dangerously close to being crocs.
The fact that they're rolling out these VS posters makes me believe that the eShop pic is the starting roster.
God damn it, you guys.

But they had a poster with Lucina but she's not in starting roster.
Can I take a moment to say how crazy that poster is?
Rockman vs Luigi.
Never in 25 years did I think I'd ever say that.
I'm actually totally expecting Doc to have FLUDD.I bet Doc has the FLUDD. It'll just be renamed to "Sterile Cleanse"

I can picture it now
Hahaha. I feel bad for your tag. Well, I do understand why we had to wait for 3 weeks. I'm pretty sure that Sakurai and the teams are trying to cramming everything into the game before the deadline, so translation teams need a time to translate whatever left that Sakurai added at last minutes. Also they need more time to publishing the games.

Your words, they make me want to play Xenoblade, despite talk of it being 100+ hours and costing nearly as much money to buyStarted xenoblade again this morning (after a 2-ish year hiatus! I restarted the whole game since I forgot most of it).
Can I just say how damn good this game is? One of the best JRPGs of all time, and almost assuredly the best one of the last generation.
It's fun to play, the story is good, the combat is fantastic, the world is HUGE and you can explore as much or as little as you want. You never feel lost, there are tons of 'mmo style' quests, but they're 'kill 2' not 'kill 15', and once you kill the 2, you immediately get the reward (no need to talk to the quest giver). There's also FAST TRAVEL. So good.
So so good.
Oh my, the first 10 are those of 64. Ness01. Mario
02. Donkey Kong
03. Link
04. Samus
05. Yoshi
06. Kirby
07. Fox
08. Pikachu
09. Luigi
10. Captain Falcon
A few more ads are posted on 2ch. I had to fill in some gaps, but this is what the numbered list appears to look like:
Or maybe it's just #40 in the poster series and they stick little characters by the number for kicks.
It is an odd name, but assuming you play as the dog, duck(s), and first-person hunter, then "Duck Hunt Dog" isn't exactly accurate.Ugh...I really hope the "Duck Hunt" name is changed to "Duck Hunt Dog".
"Duck Hunt" just doesn't make any sense. Pokemon Trainer wasn't named "Pokemon", and Olimar wasn't named "Pikmin".
I'd like this for the simple reason it would mean the possibility hearing this jingle:Does anyone else think that Dr. Mario should get his own series icon? Dr. Mario has branched out into its own sub-series like Yoshi, and a pill makes a lot more sense for the character than a mushroom. The Dr. Mario games are mostly self-contained, and Dr. Mario doesnt exactly show up in the main series or Mario Kart.

Imagine seeing that pop up on the screen after winning with Dr. Mario, accompanied by a short Dr. Mario musical flourish. It just feels right, and it'd help further separate him from the standard Mario.
