Edit: Any predictions for XB1 sales? Seeing the DR3 sales I believe the Vita may even have outsold it. The best selling PS4 game sold to just 1/3 of the new consoles and DR3 seems to only have managed 5k. Maybe Titanfall being the bundle made a difference, but I don't see that many being interested in it now.

Where are you getting Dead Rising 3 at 5k? Also why do you think DR3 would be the best selling games and would indicate the Vita beat the Xbox One in sales? (which technically would not even be surprising because Vita is a handheld)

It was number 17 in Comgnet's ranking (poor sample rate) and didn't chart in Tsutaya's top 20 which has a bigger sample rate. Number 20 this week sold 4.5K.
Edit: Comgnet also (IIRC) skew more towards the hardcore for a lack of a better term. The sample rate is also very small with just 8 (!) copies sold.

If there was a PS4 port I would have thought they would announce it at their conference alongside Persona 5.
I feel like Namco should definitely port it to the PS4. It will probably be fall 2015 or later when we get the title and by then PS4 would have a notably big user base and PS3 software sales in the west haven been significantly effected already.
So not reliable enough to use as a trend setter?
Persona isn't tales, it's At- *cough* Sega.

Comgnet should only be used as a very...VERY...general indicator.
Like if preorders at COMG! are at 1000pt (see Smash Bros. 3DS), you know that game is going to be huge.
But you can't really nail down anything precise.

I think no Xbox One game in the Top 20 Tsutaya ranking is a pretty damn good indication that the console bombed severely.
According to sinobi, the shipment was about 38k. EDIT: only his sales prediction, nvm
At first, I thought it should move about 30k first week, but after the reports we got and the Comgnet/Tsutaya rankings I wouldn't be surprised if it was half of that now.

Xillia did well but Graces would've been better served on PSP (Japan) or Wii (west). We'll see how Xillia 2 did.
I think the first month number will be much lower. Seeing how the other consoles have been performing and the totally western games, the sales will nosedive beginning second week.

In UK charts it disappeared after having a worse first week that Xillia (1 was around 6k, 2 between 3.5 and 5k approximately iirc)
Hopefully they had lower expectations for the game. Jrpg direct sequels tend to do worse than the original for some reason. But Xillia 2 is shorter than the original and probably has less text and less recorded voices.
It's a shame if people ignore it because it's a sequel though. The game is quite well written and a big improvement over the original.
Basically, the DQX thing, but expanded, uh? Can't wait for Lightning Returns for 3DS! /s

so if the ps4 does a good i don't know, 5-6 million in japan (doubling dreamcast sales), and the wii u reaches 3m (dreamcast sales), what will the xbox one come in around?
the original xbox couldn't break 500k in japan, but the 360 did about 3-4 times the amount. i wonder if 2014 and 2015 will be the only years where it breaks 100k.
