I'll buy it day 1, been holding out for those damn Gamepad specific features!
So how many copies do they even expect to sell?
The post I linked only says that you can use the map on the gamepad or play on it. No mention of any other features.
Lame :/
6 month delay for a bad game? No thanks.
Hopefully the inevitable sequel is better.
Wii U owners, take my advice: avoid.
Ubisoft games eventually get so cheap that there's no point in not taking the risk on it. I think I own every Ubisoft game worth owning on the system and haven't paid more than 30 bucks total.

But seriously I mean i guess if the game was $10 there's worse ways to spend your time than on a generic grindwheel of the worst qualities of open world gaming, but there is a foundation here. I'm hoping the sequel turns into something good.
Spoiler to Wii u owners: it's really bad, don't buy it.
I got AC III new for 3 bucks. I dislike AC but I found 3 bucks of entertainment out of that.
Ubi is also not the only one. I hate Mass Effect 3 but got the Wii U version new at target for...1.98! New! Why the hell not at that price?
Hey, haters gonna hate, but for some real honest talk... those Gang Hideout missions were more fun to play than what I was doing in any Assassin's Creed (but I have not played 4 yet^^). This is waaaay to late and inexcusable, but if it is a competent port and fairly priced I could see some Wii U only folks still having fun with this.
jesus dude for those prices I guess I would buy Watch Dogs lol
what year?
What a shame. Initial hype made it sound great.I can confirm that this is almost factually true. I've had it rented from Gamefly for like a week. I've only played an hour of it. I'm actually mad that I forgot to return it today.
My biggest gripe with the game is the poor UI, inventory management and constant notifications and popups coming on the screen. If Ubisoft was smart they'd put all that on the gamepad and leave the TV with a minimal HUD. But I highly doubt they'd do that. This will most likely be a vanilla port with no DLC.
Also, has it been confirmed to be 60 fps?
Are you serious? Is 30fps on current gen consoles. C'mon. Also, has it been confirmed to be 60 fps?
I just finished Deus Ex on Wii U and I loved the Gamepad once I got used to it. Plus, off TV was great as well.A few Wii U games, chiefly the Arkham City and Deus Ex ports, have convinced me that the Wii U is the definitive place to play sandbox-type games with inventory management and a heavy reliance on map use. With some love and care, and maybe some DLC tossed in and a fair price, this could be the definitive version of the game.
With that said Ubisoft's track record in the abstract and on the platform in general leads me to believe they will shit this port out as cheaply as possible, save a couple bucks at the expense of educated sales and blame me, the consumer, every step of the way. But I'd love to be wrong.

I'd get it if it didn't cost $60, not because I can't afford it, but because I won't support Ubi's delay practices.
Going price for every version on amazon RIGHT NOW is $40. Surely to keep it fair and competitive, they'll price it accordingly for Wii U, which will be 6 months late. Right? RIGHT??? lol.
Advice taken.Wii U owners, take my advice: avoid.
The gang hideout sub-missions were just middling instead of awful so there's that
That and the convoys were really the only fun parts, tbh. Plus the soundtrack is fucking horrible. Jesus. I just skip to the Vampire Weekend song and call it a fucking day. I'm sure the sequel will be better, but this game definitely isn't worth $60.
