Sony should hit up Notch for a loan.
I honestly would love that to happen. Seriously.I guess they should probably sell their rights to Spider-Man movies back to Marvel then.
How much would that net them?I guess they should probably sell their rights to Spider-Man movies back to Marvel then.
So Sony has the exact opposite problem as MS? In that their game division makes bank but the rest of the company can't get its act together?

I'm reading the article. It says Sony will now book a ¥180 billion impairment charge--the entire amount of goodwill in the segment--in the second quarter of this fiscal year due to lower sales of their mobile unit.
Sony's mobile strategy has been all sorts of screwy, so I'm not surprised it finally caught up with them.
How much would that net them?
I'm waiting for Google to buy them.
So they killed all the departments that were losing them money and they still have a 2 billion loss? The future looks grim.
I guess they should probably sell their rights to Spider-Man movies back to Marvel then.
Worldwide Box Office

$783,705,001
$890,875,303
$757,890,267

The loss seems to be coming from their mobile unit.
Looks like their crappy mobile strategy finally caught up with them.
Not releasing their phone in NA. Releasing so many derivative low and mid-range devices. Having a new flagship phone every 6 months. All sorts of bad decision making.
How much did the the sony gaming division lose since the PS4 came out?
So PlayStation is doing really well, so is their phone division, what's the problem now?
the problem is they're a huge conglomerate that's hemorrhaging a shitload of money.
i mean that's not even that much money to lose really.. when you think about it.
