w...why don't you guys say what changed in Dota2? This meta discussion is thrilling me with its mystique though.

They changed the position and orientation of Roshan's pit to reduce the dire side advantage.

Two runes will spawn in the river instead of one now. One side will be the usual double damage, invis etc. The other side will always be a new rune (the yellow one in the pic) that increases your xp/gold gain rate for some time.

Lots of changes to heroes to mix up the fast rush/split push meta that gained popularity around the International. Also some interesting Aghanim's ultimate upgrades.

Compiled a Steam Curator list with games where in my opinion getting every achievement is enjoyable. It's still not all that robust but I'll be adding to it over time. Oh and if anyone has recommendations of games that they feel fill that criteria be sure to let me know! I'd love to check them out.

I'm really liking FF4, but was really necessary to put an achievement requiring to beat the game two times? :S

I believe even without that achievement you would still need to beat the game 2 or 3 times. It's impossible to get every augment in one playthrough. Also I don't think you can fight Proto-Babil on the first playthough.

So uh, DOTA2 night this weekend, anyone?

I might be up for another (casual) DOTA night. Of course with my level of knowledge, none of the changes in that patch even mean anything to me (I can see how moving Roshan could make a difference, but that's about it).

Anybody have some tips for night 5 for five nights at freddy's?

Right now I'm mainly just checking foxxy and the lights, I'm using a stop watch so I know roughly how much time I have. I just can't seem to make it.

I've actually played this game for 4 hours already trying to beat it.. power just runs out way too quickly at this point.

Hey, i've had Clash sitting in my to-play list for a while and i had a question: Can you explain to me how that game's average play length is +25 hours? I"m just curious as to why it's so long.

It's kinda spoilery, but here you go.
There are several different storylines-heroes-worlds in that game, it's kinda like a game and 5 sequels in one, I have 30 hours clocked on every platform imaginable, btw

edited: almost forgot, there is multipay too, that can extend playtime above that a lot, but I'm pretty sure it's still dead.

Basically you 5 chapters each with its own protag and their own unique units. It's a very fun and addicting match 3 RPG hybrid and one of my most played games on Steam.
Seriously people get it, it's freakin' good and LOOKS beautiful.
Only drawback is that the music leaves much to be desired.

In case anyone isn't paying attention to Greenlight, Keen Dreams was posted a few days ago. Basically, this is a "lost episode" of the Commander Keen series. It takes places between the first 3 Keen games and the second set of 3 Keen games, it has a theme about vegetables, it has no ray gun and is also missing a number of normal series features, it was published by a different publisher... everything about it is kind of weird. It's not my favourite Keen, but the whole series deserves to be made available. The dev is also promising to look into achievements and other bonus content.

Moreover, the dev, who is just a random guy who licensed the game specifically for release and preservation, uploaded the game's entire source code to GitHub. So, that's pretty badass.

Even if you're not a fan of the series, I think this definitely meets the threshold to be Greenlit, so maybe lend it your vote?

Is it filler stuff or does the game genuinely earn its length? Thinking about playing Clash before the year is out and I want to know if ill feel like i'll be done with it after one of those stories ends.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Be great to see how the 900 series cards stack up against AMD cards using Mantel.

My time at the top of the single card friends leaderboards was nice while it lasted :(

Edit: Or actually maybe not. Come at me 970 owners!

That's higher than I can get with my 970. xD

I'd wager my CPU is probably letting me down on the physx parts though. Not that my 3570k is bad or anything, it's been amazing so far.

There's no filler far as I know. Justplay it. It start slow but once you get the hang of linking and chaining it becomes a blast to play.

It depends on your perspective, for example zky thinks that it's too long and repetition is boring. But keeping in mind that you have not only different hero, units and world every time, but every time it requires different strategies, I'd say no filler. Last but not least, it has the second best final boss fight in any game, not gonna spoiler why. (><)
Gameplay is the same though, all that time, there are no drastic changes, but seriously, it's ridiculously fun to play game.

Alright, sounds good!

Resident Evil Revelations is much better than Resident Evil 5, I liked 5, but I'm loving Revelations so far.

RER is a fine game, but the guns have the impact of a limp water gun. Enemies don't give great feedback, either, so shooting in the game feels real mushy. If they tighten up the shooting in RER2, then we'll have ourselves a really fantastic game.

MorphShift Wars is on the Upcoming list in the store and I read it as MorphSuit Wars. My imagination immediately went into nightmare factory mode.

Papo & Yo has some pretty easy achievements. It's a good game to boot. The Swapper has some easy achievements too, but you'll never find them on a regular playthrough. Thomas was Alone has the easiest achievements, but I thought it wasn't that great.

Braid's achievements are all story based except for the speedrun achievement, which is a major pain in the ass.

I actually beat The Swapper but like you said I didn't find even one of the collectables. It's funny design like that. I have to go back with a guide one day. I actually 100%'d Thomas Was Alone but didn't think it was all that great so didn't put it on that list. Braid's speed trial achievement seems intimidating indeed.

I'll check out Papo & Yo though! Thanks.

I was exaggerating. I meant that you were the only one that I knew of that had made your phobia known to the group.

well not my fault you people like keeping secrets :p

i don't think it's boring, it just didn't do enough to keep me interested to get through the end

i really liked that game

Is there any way to set it up so that the curators don't recommend you games you already have on your wishlist? I kinda would like them to recommend me games I know nothing about instead of games I know enough about (hence why its on my wishlist). Curators need to inform not remind people. Valve needs to add that wishlist checkbox feature to the customize toolbar.

I'm in the UK, so we're on BST right now. I've scheduled the game for 11pm GMT. Here's a link to the Games Night thread, with a handy countdown clock.

Sure, I'll be in for that. I've got ~130 hours in DOTA, and I'm still pretty terrible, so. In the UK as well.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Well, my inbox didn't explode overnight so I guess everyone is mostly happy with the latest version of Enhanced Steam. Now I gotta buckle down and get the Firefox extension working.

I think the gradiant with the wishlist blue fits in beautifully with the new store redesign. It's not only much easier to distinguish than the little graphic, but it's also much nicer looking. If you showed screenshots of both to a person who was unfamiliar with the Steam store they'd pick the ES way as the one done by the design team for that website.

Agreed 100%. Well except I didn't like RE5 on the PS3, but I need to replay it again.

Nice! I bought Keen collection around year ago but haven't gotten the time to play them, didn't know that Keen Dreams wasn't included. I played shit ton of Keen in my youth.

Sorry if asked a bunch already...but have the store page backgrounds always been broken since the update or just this morning? *scratches head*

Papo & Yo has some pretty easy achievements.

Well, at the very least one achievement requires if I recall correctly a second playthrough and in order to achieve one or two of the other ones you should have to know what to do during your playthrough.

Off the top of my head I have found all the achievements in Psychonauts and Costume quests to be pretty much doable in a single playthrough, maybe with the aid of a guide to find out some missing items.

Also Hexcells - Hexcells plus is even better than the first one but way harder, so it is not a no sweat - comes to mind, you only have to finish all levels to get all achievements.

Also:

The 39 steps - you only have to finish the game
