Yeah, it's part of Unity's Season Pass (and will probably be released as a standalone title later down the track a la Freedom Cry). If the game was inspired by Mark of the Ninja then it has the potential to be quite good in its own right.

Its not exactly what I was looking for. But if this open up the possibility of having a full fledge AC game based in Asia. Then I'm in. From what I saw in the video the art style look gorgeous.

Now I definitely gotta get AC:Unity.

I had the same happen. The only way to fix it is by starting a completely new save apparently.

I ended up doing just that. I made a backup of my save directory, then reset my saves in game, and redid the DLC up to the point where you can get the collectables, and I was able to get all of them. Clearly I'm a masochist.

But it takes a lot longer to go through the DLC when you start at level 1, and don't have any combo blueprints. At least that's over with, and I was able to recover my old save. Now just a grind to get 200k more zombie kills.

is that lady humble bundle is a real thing, or some subtle trolling?

You can. It appears to be, like, Pizza Tycoon but you run a brothel/peep show/porn shop.

Have you guys seen this game "Noct"? I've seen the devs pimp it out on imgur a few times now.

Looks pretty interesting (sorry zkylon)

Here's the greenlight page for it:

Reminds me a lot of Teleglitch, looks kind of neat. I just went and voted for it, I kind of wish that Greenlight games would show up in any search field, be it on the storefront or buried in the greenlight submenu.

Man, random encounters ratio in FFIV is even worse then FFIII.
I spent two hours on the FIRST cave because I continue to get random encounters. I selected Hard, but for now I don't see any differences between the original FFIV for Snes.
But random encounters are bad. I mean, if you did a REMAKE, then tune some things down, what the hell...I can't do two steps without a zombie, a crocodyle or something like that in a group of four spawn to kill me.

wait till you get to the moon
RE was pretty brutal in all older games, you just forgot how it used to be? Authenticity? Some people like it to be like this?

edited: this reminded me Phantasy Star, I replayed a year or two ago. I remember it being brutal, but I forgot level of brutality. These days we are so used to games that don't keep us on our toes for hours and don't kill us in every 2 minutes.

Yes I know, but they just could add a dumb version with less RE and a different levelling system, with the "old" difficulty, so anyone can choose.

Anyway, I'm really liking the remake. I don't remember the plot of the game because I played it when english was an obscure materia to me, so basically is new to me :D

Also

Poor Anna. I mean, she died and no one gives a fuck. His father run away, his beloved just leave her on the ground like garbage leaving with a hovercraft :D
There is a dumb version, as far as I know, PSP remake is much easier, not sure about RE.
ya, it is pretty funny

finished Trails, perhaps?

I would like to see an AssCreed game set in Asia as well, hope Ubisoft would do enough research and not fuck it up.

Speaking of AssCreed, I read Tom's Hardware's GTX 970 review, the high end and ultra high end cards (which have significant power gaps) performed pretty much the same under the same graphical settings. With 780 and above all topped at 61 fps, something is really wrong about the optimization.

The game is apparently locked to 640x480 resolution. Buyer's beware.

Yeah, It seems like it's just the old PC version. But I'm not really bothered by that, as long the games runs without problems I will buy it...

BTW, did the old PC version have a TATE mode? I can't remember... imo thats way more important than the resolution

I don't mind running games at window at such low resolution. Surely someone will find a way to unlock the resolution and add filters.
For that matter as long as it runs good I don't think it'd be a bad port.

What on Black Flag? It's locked at 63fps. Most benchmarks these days really don't do a good job conveying the strengths of what they're testing. PC Perspective are great for GPUs as are GameGPU.ru and ComputerBase.de for more thorough analysis.

All the high end cards, why is it locked at 63 frames anyway?

Steam and using SSD / HDD question:

  • I have Steam installed on my SSD
  • I have a load of games sat on my HDD - it is a bootable drive that I have left as-is so the Steam folder is all setup

Is it simpy a case of clicking to install a game and selecting its already present and downloaded location on my HDD?

I have read a few ways of having games on a HDD but Steam on an SSD and they seem like overkill. Unless my above method will not work then I suppose that is why it is done that way.

AssCreed 2 is the same for some reason.

Yeah, if you add your old Steam folder as a second library location, Steam will detect the existing data during the installation initialisation process.

Have to ask Ubisoft on that one but it is. Previously 120fps~ was fine on the other titles but not on Black Flag. Most of time around Havana I'm only using 80% GPU usage and it's only an area where there's lots of foliage with Very High Environment Quality setting that pulls me south of 60fps at 2540x1440. It's not a very good game to do a comparative benchmark in as you'll hit the frame limit before you max out a card well unless you increase the resolution.

Edit: And upon saying that Toms did do some 3840x2160 test which show the difference between each card easier but they should really know better than to do a test on a game they know they'll be GPU limited at 1920x1080.

AssCreed 2 was the same for some reason.

Is it? They all have some different renderers going. All are 16:9 locked as I recall apart from Brotherhood which I've managed to get 21:9 working. AC 1 has a DX9 and DX10 renderer but II and Brotherhood seem to only have DX9. Then again too many cooks and all that.

Yes?

I have Steam on my SSD and I download games to my HDD except for special occasions when I feel like I want them on the SSD. Just make sure you add a library folder for whichever drive you're putting them on under Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders > Add Library Folder

When you click to install a game, you'll get the option of downloading them to either the SSD or HDD.

I hope that helps, because I wasn't exactly clear on your question.

That all sounds good; I will try it later. It has been a hard slog installing stuff. Gaming has taken a back seat whilst putting the other
boring
software on the drive.

Wow, this Outlast deal is tempting. Yay or nay?

Meh. I watched a playthrough of it and while it looks pretty effective as a jump-scarer, none of the gameplay looked interesting at all. Run away, hide, pick up notes, run away, hide, activate a button, hide, run away.

I'd wait for it to go cheaper tbh.

I wonder how long will Greenlight be around now that Valve took out every mention of it on the homepage? I hope their self-publishing plan is revealed soon.
