oh! remembered one more complaint about Trails, it really do nice to have fast travel of sorts to and from locations already visited. That makes 2 complaints! It's funny when you need to think hard to find anything bad about a game, no?
You guys really should play Trails, even if it's not a short game.

I admit that was kind of unfair, but so was slagging off the Tales games as a "garbage bin series". :p The battle systems in those games keeps me consistently engaged, to the point where I'll spend time getting into battles just because it's fun. Non-boss battles in most FF games eventually degenerate to me spamming "Attack" while reading a book and half paying attention to the screen. So for me personally, I'd have to give Tales the edge there.

but Tales have auto mode exactly for that reason too, after some time regular battles become a slog and bore, and we switch to auto for those. I don't really see that much difference in that. Of course, if you prefer Tales bs, it's OK, nothing wrong with that.

If you're not playing a Tales game on Hard/Universe, you're not playing it properly.

Unless you are really fond of going back and forth for items all the time, with their stupid limit of 15, playing on hard is more pain than it is worth.
I still usually play on hard, or chaos (in ToG case), but that's not exactly the most fun way to go about playing Tales, unfortunately.

APNG, works with Opera/Chrome/Firefox (with 3rd party plugins IIRC)
Shows the first frame only in other browsers.

well, that was interesting read. I wonder how I never stumbled on it before.

I suddenly want Borgia on steam. Why haven't Daedalic released it there? I thought they release all their games on steam.

There are currently no cheap copies floating around, so you'll have to ask someone to buy it for you, but I'd say you'd be looking at 3.5/4 keys.

Bleh I was talking about Pacman CE actually. I did have Ghostly adventures on PS3 and it was...meh. Kids might like it, moreso if they like the show.

It's a decent but forgettable platformer otherwise :/

So I went on Steam and just noticed the L4D2 preorder TF2 item "Bill's Hat" is salable now for me, when I could have sworn it never was before. They sell for over 12 bucks!!

I'm gonna be rich!

How come there are people insanely good at basically every game. When I check highscores on steam, I'm usually flabbergasted
That NG2 master ninja no damage run... gosh that's incredible

Well I figure there has to be a balance to the people who are insanely bad at games

I am in the bad category

Tales of Symphonia
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of Vesperia
Tales of Graces
Tales of Xillia
Tales of Xillia 2
Tales of Zestiria(Upcoming)

I'm guessing these would garner the most interest?

Would buy Vesperia for sure.

Graces can die.

Take away Abyss and I'd buy all of those!
again

Would buy Vesperia for sure.

Graces can die.
here goes two best Tales games.
too funny

are those even words, what in the world is a xillia?

we stopped caring about meaning of those words right after Vesperia

Would make the "What is the worst game on steam?" discussions fresh again.

But it is a great game, if a port was to be better executed than an original, no maplag and loading times.
I still can't believe it gets so much hate, almost FF7 situation all over again. (><)

I'm mostly interested in Symphonia and Vesperia. The former looks really bad on my TV -- needs Durante treatment.

That bad, huh? Best to stick with my two choices.

why do you believe it so easily? Abyss is one of the best Tales games, only playing it is a bit painful, on PS2 that is, it runs really bad.

but their plan makes no sense. Why I would support a game I have no interest in, it just means we'll get more such games, it has nothing to do with Tales whatsoever.
Yeah, I never got that mentality either. "If you want game X to be released, buy game Y even though you may not be interested in it at all".

How about I wait until game X is up for sale? Not gonna pay for something I don't want.

Haha, SteamGAF questions. Good game? No, ok no buy.

Seriously, something about the style of it was uninteresting so I never bothered with it. Symphonia has a charm to it so I'd like a clean, 60fps version to play through. Vesperia was also a title I wanted to play back when the 360 received it, but I only had a PS3 at that time.

Uh alright, after that totally unnecessary jumpscare area, Ethan Carter refuses to start or crashes after 5mins. Nice.

Well folks, im offically 21 now :). I think I might get out of work early today so might actually be able to enjoy my day a bit (after my required nap, I wake up too early for this shit)

Just bought Binding of Isaac Complete for 0,99 euro on Steam.

Considering the imminent release of Rebirth (right now it's on sale for 10 euro on Steam), have i made the right choice?

I mean, is that 9 euro of difference worth it?

Changing topic, how is it Shelter? It's on sale for 2,49 euro on Humble Store. I've read it's a nice game but a little bit on the short side...

The original Binding of Isaac for 99c is a fantastic deal. It's a great game and I've sank so many hours into it, I'm sure you'll be satisfied with that purchase. It has a bunch of content, it's good fun, you'll have a great time.

However, it looks like Rebirth will be improved in every way, include a great deal more content and gameplay improvements, and is almost like a sequel and a remake mixed into one. I think that it'll definitely be worth the higher price. It's one of my most anticipated games this year.

I'd say play the first game and see if you like the style of it. Good news is that owners of the original game get a 33% discount on pre-ordering the game on Steam, so you'll actually still save money if you decide to pick up Rebirth before launch. Failing that, you can enjoy the original and wait for another sale somewhere down the line if you're not willing to commit just yet.

Well, by purchasing BoI, rebirth is now -33% for you. Right now it is cheaper to buy BoI, and then buy Rebirth then it is to just buy Rebirth.

But yes BoI is amazing and well worth that single euro.

Sell the cards and it's even cheaper. Also as a beginner consider disabling the WotL DLC as it makes the game harder.

Happy birthday Hero Prinny.

I discovered a thing regarding FFIV.
Proto-Babil and Gerion fights are only available on new game +.
I edited a save putting Dark Matter in it to see if I can summon Proto-Babil, but you simply can't interact with the giant head on the moon, so it was useless. I think the game has a check and those fights only trigger while you start a new game, despite having proper items.

Who...is Geroin?

Interesting. I thought the last Dark Souls 2 DLC had been delayed until tomorrow, yet it's downloading on my system right now.

Heh, no. Abyss isn't even in the running. It's a great game, and one of the best Tales games. It's also my personal favorite, thanks to this guy right here.
