I don't really care if it has a million bells and whistles.

1. Is this racing fun? Is the handling good?

2. Are the visuals beautiful?

3. Is the music good?

I don't care if it has a custom logo designer or some other extraneous crap.

I agree, those three are all I need from a racing game - in fact, I usually turn the music off, but I bloody love Hybrid.

Stupid question. Still cool to see that it shows how many in the club and gives a decent idea of how long leveling up takes. The races I have seen have been around 1000 - ~3000 points a race. So 11.5 million points to level 20, thats a decent amount of races. Rapier said he saw a level 48(?)..

For all we know, that could have been a dev who went to debug mode and typed iddqd "set level=48"

Rapier's impressions sound really positive on the first 2 points. Also, you don't need to refer to the livery designer as 'crap' - this will be a great feature to some people.

I've never really understood why being concerned over certain aspects of the game is classed as trolling.

I think any concerns should be made, at least then if the devs read your reply they can take it into consideration. For example, I've made it clear for a while now that I hate the 'off-road' timer - and earlier this week Rushy said they may look into it after launch. Feedback is important.

Driveclub will be my first racing car game I ever buy. Never been interested in racing games but god damn the environments and the speed is awesome. I also like the little "goals" in each race but you need to be part of a club I guess.

Nope. There would probably never be one. My advice would be to get hold of a PS+ trial membership or buy the smallest subscription available if you want to give it a try.

Technically yes. It has an offline SP campaign. But they will never release a separate demo since that will cannibalize their PS+ plans.

I believe that's a 2 day trial and will only work if they've never had a PS+ subscription before on their account. Even then, I suppose you could open a disposable account just to try them demo.

PS4 lets you access certain online features. It's things like competitive multiplayer, co-op/ like Destiny's fireteam which is locked away. In Destiny for example, you still see players in the world/tower, or in Resogun you can download user-created ships.

Apart from the expected overacting, that's actually a pretty informative trailer. Though I didn't understand the language, I got the gist. Not bad.

Oh my god why did they do this? It's like 1998 when they had to show you what people looked like playing 3D games because you may have never owned any before. So many cheap looking shots of people being to into it.
