I have a thing about body horror type stuff like this that makes my skin crawl and body cringe at the sight of it. When I wasn't cringing at the stuff going on with his hand I was pretty happy with what I saw. I love the character designs as it stands and the animation was top notch as my cringing body will atest to. Haven't seen a good horror anime since Shiki so I'm looking forward to this.

Honestly just feels like we're picking up right where we left off. Great episode. Not much else to say.

Honestly just feels like we're picking up right where we left off. Great episode. Not much else to say.
It has a really eclectic mix of music in it but the dubstep was just off.
Some of the bgm was actually pretty great. Otherworldly kind of stuff fitting the atmosphere.

Glasses must truly be frightening lol. So Log Horizon turned into Mcdonalds to save up money for one of Shiroe's plans. What this plan is going to be, I have no clue, but they are nowhere near 5 million gold. Really interesting to see them focusing on many other aspects of MMO's like economy, professions and stuff besides the usual battles. Makes this very enjoyable.

Love for all in the end.
Drama didn't work, comedy didn't work, boring election stuff and no real interesting characters. Well... Mifuyu was ok, but then there's that annoying Non-chan. Didn't like that kind of character in Pani Poni Dash, Nichijou and not here either.
Only the stuff about figuring out what happened to Kana saves it from a total disaster, and there's the 5th episode that was slightly funny. I guess people who said they chose the wrong route wanted theroute?Satsuki

Been hyped for this for a long time. I LOVE the original manga. I felt this was a really solid first episode. I don't mind the design changes (
) but the dubstep was weird. Beautiful animation. The intro was pretty good too. After all the censorship this season it was great to see this show give it the middle finger (heh) and say fuck it. If Madhouse does this right, I envy anyone seeing this for the first time.
One thing I hope the show runners realize is just how introspective the source material is. I hope they incorporate that and don't just turn it into an action fest.

Solid, but not terribly exciting, start to a new season. I assume Toru
at some point this season since they keep hinting at it. Good action as well. Funniest part is how they were trying to teach Chaika had to take away/shorten incantations and she was having a hard time.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The 8th MS Team - Episodes 1-12
This was the first of the two Gundam OVAs that I still needed to watch (The other is 0083). I heard it was the better of the two so I thought this was best to tackle first.
The series starts out very strong with battles that were tactically thought out and actions were not the result of random Newtype antics occuring. It felt far more realistic than most Gundam battles I've seen.
The series then takes a bit of a stumble roughly halfway through where the tactics change to become more pacifistic, in that the 8th MS Team were to minimise casulties to Zeon forces. For a series that started out the way it did I just don't think that was a great decision to put the series in that direction, it just seemed very clumsy.
(I know about how the original director of the series died after Episode 4 and that's the reason as to why the above happened.)
Things looked up in Episode 10 with the battle between the 8th MS Team and Noris Packard's Gouf Custom which was a great battle to watch. There's just something about Gouf battles in that they're always battles in close combat and this battle was no different with Norris using the city surroundings to help him in battle.
The one thing that striked me as odd about the series was the final episode which by all accounts was 20 minutes of nothing followed by

It's still a solid series to watch nonetheless. Now it's Anohana all the way for me.

He still techincally won the battle in the end dispite his demise by shooting down all of the Guntanks. A true ace.

OST is still amazing. Callbacks and references are still everywhere. Ral appearing out of nowhere.
In a season without Bahamut this would be the best first episode for me by a long shot.

It's more of Chaika, feels like we just started where we left off. Was glad they bothered to explain the magic system a little, most series never bother to do scenes like that. Fight at the end was good, but man Chaika sucks ass at fighting.

This show gets a bit weird in the middle with one of the characters. I'm not sure why it happens, but its just like "OK, that happened, now we continue on." I enjoyed it. Obviously when compared to Silver Spoon if falls short, but still enjoyable. I think Funimation has the live action adaptation that I want to get around to watching some day.

And it was a very solid first episode. Honestly I see some complaining about the music, but for me I actually enjoyed it in that it's so cheesy non-idol music that I loved it. Like with Brynhyldr and the hilarious second crab core OP.
The lead and the alien really work for me. I assume we'll get more battles later on due to the OP and the change in look Shinichi will experience. The art style isn't moe which I also appreciate. The animation is where this is definitely kicking ass and taking names. MADHouse is doing this right? Love those guys. Looking forward to more The Thing hijinks and body transformation, especially since I also got to watch this (I hope it was a reference)

Personally I was okay with how they handled them. It was a bit shocking at first (to both the audience and the characters), but it's not often that
we see a character in anime seriously question themselves in that way.

Started watching this due to the new show starting. I'm really angry at myself for not watching it sooner. I love the concept as it reminds me of the usual monster/card game tournament style anime show structure which is cliched but still quite fun. I love the protagonist so far and most of the characters. As someone who hasn't see much gundam I gotta say I really am loving it. I think it'll keep getting better. The music is way better than it should be holy crap. It's ZAKU AMAZING! (I think I'm gonna be poor now due to buying all the awesome models).
