You say of course, but developers just love to have radar enabled. If it's not generic there'll be an uproar, though. Plasma pistol starts on Bloodgulch just don't work.
Okay yea I get that big team can be super fun in the larger maps, especially with objective modes. It's just never very competitive in games I'm in. I've always prefer the standard game sizes. I do understand, that for larger maps that it is fun.
343 was very good with playlist additions and
And I didn't really expect one to begin with but has Frankie shot down the possibility of a Custom Games Browser in MCC yet?
i hope that this will be part of the MCC, waiting some weeks or month for your favourite playlist isnt something id prefer tbh
i mean from a theoretical point it should be doable, those games you want to play are part of certain playlists vote options, the system should be capable to put you in running games that match your criteria as they are part of certain playlists offered games
i actually dont understand why Halo is still going with matchmaking only, a hybrid like BF4 would be the best
server list with the community being able to rent servers with maps and mods of their choice and a matchmaking system that helps to fill those servers for the lazy people that want to be in a game real quick
the devs or publisher dont need to pay for all the servers and the community can decide which mods are the most popular + for how long those and the overall game will last
I'm going to have to agree with you there. Halo shines with its CQC arena style maps, not huge open maps with nothing but snipers, rockets and turrets. That's when you lose that Halo balance.
CE playlist better be AR/pistol start or there will be forum riots.
Really bummed there are no 2v2 playlists. CE especially needs a 2v2 playlist.
While this was expected, it looks like CE is playing second fiddle to H2. I know 2 is where most people came into the series MP-wise, but CE is the undisputed king of competitive Halo, and to not have it properly represented in the playlists will be a major let down.
Halo 2 competitive community thrived on customs though, so it's not THAT big of a deal. I used to travel hours just to LAN CE back in the day and XBC was always a pain in the ass.
Oh well, poor playlists won't ruin this for me. Bring it on!
What they should have done was made all playlists work with all games and you would just choose the game you'd want to play...
Then there'd be a general playlist for each game that would just take you to a random play list of the game you've chosen. (to ensure games are being filled)
But the way to make the random playlist per game appealing is there'd be a separate ranking system sort of like halo 3 military ranks... and in matchmaking in every game, the lowest rank of the 4 games is what is shown to others.
They just need to remove Halo 4 from the Big Time Battle Playlist and it will be perfect.
Don't ruin the game by mixing Halo 4's dirty hands in with the other flawless games. Keep Halo 4 in its own sad little playlist where only 1% of the community will play it.

I can't at launch enter a playlist that guarantees me/my team objective matches NOT mixed with slayer? Am I interpreting this right?
I still don't understand why these basic playlists > player/team leader toggles > matchmaking > dynamic voting isn't the defacto standard in Halo. Closer games, skills and actual player choice with less hit and miss from developer sustain.
Population is a cop out answer to this, minimums on toggles provide all developer options to narrow or widen search parameters vs. population pools. This has to be by design. I get not just having a full blown custom games browser vs. matchmaking but I don't get this Bungie/343 need to hang on to developer driven playlists. Mix it with player choice.
Literally take a look at a 10 year Halo gamertag like mine and see how much objective and BTB is in there. Do you think I want rotational playlists? No.
Soz Frankles and the team but I was really hoping some more player driven choice was going to shine in MCC. It was the perfect time for it.
Please seriously reconsider player toggles for Guardians.

I'm not sure when you started playing but back when big team was ranked in Halo 2 there was nothing like it. The higher ranks meant everyone was pretty much even, and it made for some intense game play. Its been so long since we've had that, I can't wait.
So good. Can't wait to play Halo 3 online again, it was my first step into online console gaming when we finally acquired our own Internet service. Ready to sink all sorts of hours into this across all titles.
Halo CE's weak netcode, visuals and familiarity will lower it's appeal. Halo Anniversary's lack of maps will cause it to fall after a month or so. Halo 4 is just a bad game. Halo 3's Forge and visuals/gameplay will cause it to rise to the top

I agree on a dedicated objective. Often times, a lot of people only want slayer so they drop out of games if they are forced into a CTF or assault.
I don't know about only one BTB for all games. Majority will only really want H2/H3/H2A. I know a lot of CE guys would prefer 2v2. Interested to see what eSports becomes. So far there is a lot of overlap in the playlists.
