Is Drake supposed to look like a Korean super model, never aging jadventurer? If you want young looking characters that never age, stick to Japanese games. Check FF15. Every character has no skin textures nor detail on the face. They look like super models/dolls. Its super cringe worthy. (MGS being the exception - Kojima was aging Snake in MGS4 to add detail so he is ahead of the game there)

Whatever, this can just be a pre-rendered model. Naughty Dog can do no wrong with character models so I'll reserve judgement.

So how well known is Drake now?

I remember even when UC2 was out, a lot of people still didn't know him, or what Uncharted was. It's interesting to see how far up Naughty Dog also shot up after Last of Us.

I guess it was word of mouth, but Nathan Drake seems to be known by a lot of people now. Not Master Chief level of course, but I wonder if they can get there with UC4.

Honestly, it's not that far off from Ryse, it looks completely doable...until you indeed remember they're aiming for 60fps. :p I wonder how close they are to hitting that mark.

Like drake is [I]better[/I], but it's clearly within striking distance of the other "best faces" that are in dev. We can already see in OPs picture that he doesn't look [I]quite[/I] as awesome as he does when there's a blue light reflecting off his face like in that gif.

Well I think he looks hotter in Uncharted 2 and 3, but... I certainly wouldn't kick his Uncharted 4 model outta bed.

Maybe that sounds too thirsty.

In all seriousness though, the model looks crazy good - very impressed.

It's going to be a technical showcase for sure, as I understand it ND and the SCE tech guys have a good working relationship and always push the hardware. With that said, if it's anything like the previous games this isn't some vast open world game with huge numbers of NPCs. Part of the reason UC games have always looked so good is the relatively confined scope.

I want a 1080p 60fps Uncharted trilogy remastered collection now, it will help the wait for 4. The native 1080p pics they created for Uncharted 3 way back were gorgeous.

UC3 is up to 7 million by now probably. TLOU is probably bordering on 8. Just bigger and bigger each game. I think Naughty Dog have that rep now.

Edit: ie, "from the creators of Uncharted and the Last of Us". Guaranteed eyeballs right there

At first, I had no idea what you posted, but then I digged just a bit deeper and looked at the young lady hosting the interview.

I can't be certain, but it does appear that she may be masterbating a slight bit with her left hand.

Watching it again, I am convinced of it.

yeah. i dunno about quantifying it but i rewatched the teaser and drake looks much better. ryse to me was inconsistent with it's lod, looking impressive at certain times but not others. and sorcerer is an unknown at this point (not an actual game). also OP's pic, despite its low quality and resolution still gives you the idea of how good the character model is. i will honestly be astonished if it's in-game. naughty dog have done crazy things on ps3 so there's a ray of possibility though. at this point i do believe it...while at the same time i find myself thinking, really?

Still hoping it will be locked 30fps to allow for more detailed models and grand vistas.

I get the feeling they painted themselves into a corner with that 60fps promise.

Cant wait to see some gameplay of this, its gonna set a new standard I'am telling ya.

I'am pretty sure we will see an on stage gameplay demo at E3 2015.

Even if they don't, it's their first game. Naughty Dog always reinvents the wheel 3 times in a gen before deciding what's the best they can do.

Wouldn't be surprised if their final game on the PS4 gets close to Avatar quality making this Drake look pathetic in comparison.
