Few episodes in Kaiji. Another awesome Fukumoto show. Same author, same director, same voice actor, same atmosphere _O_ But damn Akagi ended on such a high note, now on to the manga, apparently the last battle is still not done, Washizu finally must've activated his demonic powers. This is still a mahjong show. Also while I was browsing Akagi stuff I found this, someone really liked the manliness:
Kinda don't get this show. Gag show with some hot guy youkais? I'm down with hot youkai dudes but there is like zero flow to the show and the gags aren't really that funny.
Ah, young romance. What a magical thing. But sometimes romance runs into problems and everyone knows the most difficult romantic problems are the ones caused by a Dragon robot having to fight a giant robot that turns into a fish.
Nice to see some background on kobeni's and hakuya's past meetings, though I feel the plot isn't really that engaging other than mashiro being adorable, but I guess that's enough for now?
Wow! Allenby is so damn rad! I wasn't expecting to see such a cool female character in this show. I mean, I like Rain and Natasha & the girls from Chibodee's team are cool and all, but Allenby is on another level! I hope she becomes a regular like the Shuffle Alliance members. I'm also seeing a lot of where Aila's character in GBF must have come from. But now I feel like if I were to ever watch the first season of GBF again I'd be disappointed by how Aila isn't a rad punk sailor moon chick and they just took the back-story and brainwashing supercharge mode and made it tedious and annoying.
Finally get an update on what William and Demi have been up to since William refused to join the round table. Pretty amusing update on Demi learning that he's married to an 'NPC' despite the kind of person he used to be when the story last focused on him.I'm curious what his plot is in regards to Shiroe. Otherwise pretty good episode.
Where did everybody go, did DEEN scare you off that quickly? That would be a shame since, okay, the art has gotten so bad a times there were scenes where I could see paper outlines still existing. DEEN truly is going to DEEN at the end of the day.
So I think this episode confirms they are doing Book 6 and Book 7 concurrently like they should be. Anyway, this episode, the first half was about the formation of an actual raid squad and in order to pull off some recruitment they have to return to the wretched hive known as Susukino. It has changed a fair bit since we last saw it early in season 1. This show has a character named William Massachusetts and I have not figured out yet if I as an American should be honored or insulted yet, maybe both. Also, Demikas returns and he fancies himself a spanner in the works. Oh, right, we have a new alleged character named Tetra and she is not the Princess Zelda, but a genki girl cleric, she is awful and I hate her. Anyway, Akatsuki is stuck protecting the Princess Lenessia and it plays out as awkwardly as it sounds. Still, it appears that the Akihabria sections for the moment as going to be chracter studies and I like that.
Anyway, solid effort all around, Log Horizon keeps being entertaining in spite of the face of DEEN.

Akatsuki decking Naotsugu every time he starts to say something perverted may be a repetitive gag, but it's better than putting him around characters that just encourage stupid dialogues about pantsu.
Quite a good episode . i must admit i'm a little more happy that they are keeping a good pacing for the events in this ep. Now that i've accepted that we're going chronological , i feel that this episode was fine.
It's cool to see Susukino after 6 months , the story of demikas always crack me up
Tetora took the spotlight This character relationship with naotsugu is one of the highlight of this arc and the blanter between the 2 of them made me smile because i look forward to the rest ..
Naotsugu and marie , what to say , anyone who doesn't ship them together after this episode need their eyes checked

Glad Titta made it out okay. Otherwise, the war goes on, and for an episode like this, I don't have a lot to say. I was hoping for more life around the castle. The show's still pretty enjoyable. With all the dark fantasies this season, it's nice to have a (relatively) lighter one to start the day.
I can't stand the new girl. Tetra or whatever her name is. Her VA reminds me of the little girl in Blackjack and her "sheeeeeeeeeeeensheeeeeeeei". I fucking despise that voice so now I am associating thing new girl with her.
Way slower compared to episode 1, and some of skipped is moved to this episode.
They just adopted about ~40 pages of volume 1 in episode 2(i thought they're going to fight the dragon or even end the volume 1 in this episode, but nah, need wait til next episode).
Umm, guess anime will focus on battle and action part.
I like Roux Louka, she reminds me of Hime from Brain Powered: Confident, competent, with a take-no-guff attitude, while admittedly being as prone to bouts of illogical or just plain stupid decision-making as any other Tomino character. She hasn't displayed Hime's, uh, romantic aggressiveness yet, but I could definitely see her doing so later.
Glemmy's such a putz, he fits right in with Machinima's sorry crew.
I gotta say, the censoring legit pissed me off. I've seen much worse violence/gore in the Berserk movies. Is this censoring a new thing or have I just not been watching other anime where this happens?
Anyway, aside from that BS, I'm really liking this show. Much better than I expected it to be. And I don't see any of these people surviving 40 days on mars. These roaches seem far too strong and intelligent now.
I didnt think the censoring was that big of a deal since, IMO, its only been fodder characters that I never cared about...too bad for CR that its causing the ratings to tumble. Ive never seen below a 4.5 star before

For me it's that I just don't recall ever seeing censoring like this in any anime before. I've seen so much worse in a number of anime over the years. See, the black holes were annoying, but they were no where near as bad as the censoring that blacked out like half the screen, though? Screw that.
It does suck about the rating, though. I actually think the show is pretty good. Is the censoring CrunchyRoll's doing?
