Dragon Age: Inquisition has gone gold

Man. If this game turns out to be so good and did I just read that right? If you tried to get everything done, 150 - 200 hours? Finally! And just think of what you can do with Keep with making a whole different backstory and instead of being the good guy response, you'll be the rebel from hell. I'm going to be playing this for months and months. I can already tell.

But yeah, if this much love was put into this, I certainly hope the people over at Bioware put as much love into Mass Effect 4.

Lol. Was never really one for role playing games. Looking to change that around this gen.

You really should look into Mass Effect trilogy. For all bad ME 3 has gotten for its endings [justified bad imo] it's still solid gameplay otherwise and trilogy is good sci-fi RPG imo.

This is going to be my go-to game until sometime in Summer, I can already tell.

Welp... I've already doubled dipped on this game. Bought the digital deluxe on PSN last month and I just bought a PC key from GMG for $48.

Damn this hype.

2009 - 2010 was great too (I had just taken over as GM for Edmonton), but shipping two games in three months was... interesting... :)

It's always amazing to me that you guys managed to ship both DA:O and ME2 in that three month period, considering that they are (I could be wrong) the two Bioware games with the best critical reception, and maybe even fan reception.

Sounds like Inquisition could challenge them for that though, I guess!

This is going to consume my gaming time completely, haven't looked forward to a game this much for several years (since ME2 in fact). I enjoyed ME3 too but this one really feels like it's going to be brilliant. Seems like the team has poured everything they possibly could into this game. Can't wait, this thread will make the wait feel like a crawl.

I don't know that site, is it trust worthy ?

It's basically the same price over at nuuvem. When converted, it's exactly $39.00.

Might need Hola Unblocker. I tried to buy FFXIII from there (without Hola), but didn't let me, while buying Shadow of Mordor (without Hola) didn't give me that problem.

I've only played Origins, but I wasn't very good at it. Ended up playing on easy, as I've hardly played many strategical RPGs.

Hopefully this one will be more accessible on normal.

I'll probably make a male character with a female face or female character with a male face just for laughs on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough. The customisation looks so in-depth that I think it's possible, haha.

They definitely did. It's unfortunate that many gave up on the series after DA2, while understandable, Bioware did the best they could in that timeframe. From a few private convos, the publisher had a deadline in place, it wasn't up to Bioware of course.

Inquisition's been in development since before Dragon Age 2 even shipped, and the delay from 2013 to 2014 was due in no small part to Bioware heads literally telling and showing EA execs that it just won't be up to snuff to ship. EA gave them all the time they needed as evident by the delays, a blank check metaphorically speaking. Things are really changing inside EA after Andrew Wilson became CEO. The "gamers first" philosophy seems to be translating over well, to the point where he'd rather delay a mega-game (BF Hardline) out of the holiday season for quality.

Wait until you see Mass Effect. EA's giving them all the space they need.

The direction really does show. EA Access is a great deal, the games appear to be getting all the time they need. I'm sure we're in for a great 2015/2016 slate.

Tuesday, my friend.

Tuesday! :p

Yes, I know I'm hyping you guys to death, lol.

21st for me

Unless I grab EA Access :D

Well, EA taking that sort of approach is music to my ears. As they certainly have the talent under their umbrella that deserves the time and money to make games the right way.

At any rate, I have said it before in regards to this game and I will say it again. Redemption draweth nigh for BioWare.

Well said my friend. I've always believed Bioware is one of the greatest out there. This new direction EA has me super excited for their other pending projects like Star Wars, Mass Effect and Battlefield.

What class/race is everyone going with?

I have no idea and I've been following this game for 2 years. They've really made race selection compelling.

Indeed race selection is a lot harder this time.

I'll probably pick Elf or Human with Mage for my main playthrough, just makes sense in my mind especially with him being able to close rifts.

No idea what my second playthrough will be :)

Never played a DA game before, usually always played the caster (Adept) in ME, so currently debating between Necromancer and Rift Mage. But definitely Qunari as my race. For the most part going in completely blind, don't really know anything about the DA universe either.

I'll be starting with a Dwarf 2h Warrior, for old times. That was my very first Origins character.

Then probably an Elf Dagger Rogue, as that's always been my favorite way to play Origins.

And at some point I want to play a female Qunari Mage, because I can't think of a combo that would be more hated in the Dragon Age universe.

Hoping for The Division :p

I don't hope Division to be garbage... Yeah, I intended my thought as "What game is such low point for Ubi that they have to step up their game again".

Heard something about Unity being rather shitty game when it comes to performance across the platforms, but we shall see.

Mexico Origin safe to use?

It's "safe" as long you acknowledge the fact that it is not something EA wants you doing and may revoke purchase rights from your account. That said never heard of it happening.

I whipped up "How To.." guide up for BF 4 purchase from Mexico back in the day, works for DAI too. It's here, click

If guides like that aren't kosher to post into GAF let me know and I take it down.

With Mass Effect Femshep was the obvious choice for me because Jennifer Hale was such a great voice actress in the past, I don't think I've heard of any of the actors in this one, what's the wise GAF's opinion?

My opinion? All the VAs are great. Hope that was helpful in making a decision.

I think I will go for female elf mage. Persecuted, hunted, oppressed, she has bided her time for an opportunity...which just so luckily arrives in the form of a rift in some mumbojumbo for some mumbojumbo reasons.
Now the world will witness...The Elf Rises. Also comes equiped with some wooden sticks that shoot different lights and stuff.

I can barely wait. Bioware's return is imminent. I'm ready. My cat is ready. Come on, let's go. Get this party started!
