This was most likely it's own thread all together, but what are everyone's thoughts on the Dragon Age Keep?
I liked I was able to change a few things in the story. One thing in particular
was having Alistair and Anora rule Ferelden together. I apparently wasn't able to make it happen because of a small conversation decision with Alistair when you help find his sister.
I thought it was silly something so small wouldn't allow me to make a big change in the story like that... or maybe it isn't a big part of the story...
I hate that I can't import my save files, mainly because I never had my EA/Origin account linked to DA:O or DA2. I had those files sitting on my PC ready to be imported. Yeah, it's okay in the end, I'm able to just remake those decisions in the Keep... but I feel like all those hours wasted on DA2 are now TRULY a waste...

I really like it. I'm pretty happy that I could use it to change a slight mistake I made in Origins but didn't feel like fixing in-game after noticing it.

For whatever reason I had Alistair be the one to kill the archdemon, which I guess meant he couldn't be king? So I changed it so that my Warden killed it, and now King Alistair and Queen Warden rule land. <3

Not part of this conversation but ok.

Yes, wanting a company to be rewarded with a bonus on a good product is sad

That animated gif really makes your point

Did you answer the question..."Does Bioware bonuses depend on the metacritic score\/\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'.

So I decided to play dragon age 2 before inquisition comes out. I'm gonna play on easy and steamroll it. Is there a guide to what side quests I can skip and which ones I should do?

I really enjoyed Dragon Age 2 (despite most people hating it). I have always been a big fan of the world in which the games take place, so call me a sucker.

As to your question I don't know if this will help a ton, but I used it to make sure I was getting everything done.

http://www.bonefishgamer.com/2011/06/dragon-age-2-quest-guide/

It has all the quests broken down into categories such as "main" "side" and "companion". If you do all the companion and main story missions you should be good to go!

I wish I knew. I take it there's no hard and fast rules for this stuff?

It says on the 16th. I think I've heard people say before that the earliest it's 12 am Pacific. So 2 am central, 3 am eastern. I would assume it's when the PS store updates, which could be like 2 pm pacific. So maybe we won't be able to start preload till midday tomorrow.

JerkShep compiled a list of all Origins, DA2 and DLC quests accounted for in the Keep here.

That doesn't mean they'll have an effect on Inquisition of course, but it does mean that if a quest isn't on there you can safely skip it.

I'd recommend doing all the companion quests whether they are choices in the Keep or not, though. Not spending time with DA2's characters is going to make Kirkwall a much drearier place.

Man, I *do* want to dive into this game, and it's the only title I'm interested in for the rest of the year... I've only really played LoU on PS4 outside of that, but I really wish I had the EA trial to just erase all doubt.

I may skip the preorder and just read the OT impressions and hype before I finally cave

Haven't been paying attention to this after how bad DA 2 was..but I might have to pick this up, I loved the first one. Can't believe it came out in '09, didn't feel that long ago.

You know if there is one thing that has been a work in progress for the series it's the Qunari. In DAO they were just really tall bulky humans. In DA2 they all had horns and look more creature like. In DAI they are in the middle, with the horns (you can choose not to have any though), but have a human face once again

Let others be the guinea pigs and get it when it goes on sale.

So am I understanding right that if I have auto-download on and set that for DAI on PSN, that I can put my PS4 on rest mode and it will start downloading whenever it's available by itself?

The Characters of Dragon Age 2
I'm watching a full playthrough of DA2's Story/Cinematics and my god this is so accurate.

Missing Fenris, though he's so obvious "The Emo twink for anime fangirls"

Though Anders should also be given "annoying" somewhere in his title.

It's too bad the characters are such tropes because the storylines in the game are not bad. I remember a lot of people complaining about the Mages vs Templars thing, but the story lays down the foundation for the conflicts very well. It shouldn't have been surprising how things turned out in that regard given all the undercurrents of illusionary peace in the city and the backstabbing and backdoor deals going on.

Oh missed Isabella too. What would we call her?

As far as I know the DA:I contract hasn't leaked, but it's within the realm of possibility that they have a bonus tied to metacritic because other recent games have. And even if they don't, it's possible that they have a bonus structure dependent on something else potentially affected by metacritic - like sales.

If you don't think MC affects sales at all, I don't know what to tell you. Anecdotal evidence is all we have, but it's pretty much accepted as true that higher scored games attract people who may otherwise not have been interested.

Even if there is no bonus, a high metacritic score is like a virtual hug. We just want to give people who do good work virtual hugs.

No point in trying to deal with him. We've seen other big games like destiny and fallout having meta tied bonuses and im sure there are many others as well who just werent made public.

Don't know where to post this, so I'll ask it here: the game is not letting me level up my character. The character details section shows locked up. Has anyone run into this?

:( X1 version here

Because I want a company who puts out a great game to get what they deserve? it only takes one or two shit reviews to tank the meta critic score and poof goes their money.
Commendable attitude, but it's something we'll never know. I'm positive the developers are proud of their game :)
Where's that Gametrailers review :O
I'm wondering the same thing, I swear they said it would be up on Thursday.
I'm dying for a good WPRG.

Should I trade in Lords of the Fallen for this?
It depends, DAI is dialogue heavy and has tactical/action based combat. If those tickle your fancy then yes, do it.

P.S. My EA Access ran out last night, I JUST perfected my Elf Mage and got to looking around Haven and then BAM! EA kicks me out..

Withdrawal is kicking in hard :(((

Keep playing buddy, I think you may in the tutorial section of the game. The inventory and character (level up/skills0 pages will unlock eventually as will party selection.

I think I got past that part already. As a good skill point hoarder, I didn't use the skill point at the time. I'm more than 2 hours into it and still shows locked.

If Iremember correctly the first skill point
is when you close the first fade rift
, if you're past that and it's still locked, defo a bug. Report to Bioware? Or start again :S

Yup. Did that already. I think my character is level 4 or 5 already.

Oh yeah, Isabella - "Selfish *****"

Seriously, no pity for her. I'd have wished there was a way to get rid of her along with the Arishok

Watching DA2 playthrough

So
It is pretty much Isabella's fault for the Qunari attack. I can't believe there's no way to get rid of her. I also appreciated the irony of Aveline talking to the Arishok about taking the law into his hands, when that is pretty much all Hawke does
:p

I'd have been so frustrated with that plot point.

That's why you let the Arishok live, because he's awesome.

You can
turn her over to the Qunari and their leader leaves.
