Twili Midna coming to Hyrule Warriors on November 27

Given the theme of the pack, I'm expecting a weapon from Twilight Princess. I'd actually really like to see Zelda with the Dominion Rod -- she'd be able to control a bunch of different statues as well as Phantoms (a nod to Smash Bros. and Spirit Tracks).

The ending of twilight princess was such a tease, with Midna almost confessing her feelings for Link, then she says nothing and destroys the mirror.

He won't be available but he should be. I mean Twilight Princess now has 4 characters and a Ganondorf costume. Even Orcarina has two with costumes and a version of Sheik. Skyward Sword could definitely use a rep.

First thought for the costume was Tingle or Fierce Deity, but they'd be in the MM pack, so I'm guessing it's the Hero's Shade? If so, FUCK YES.

Ganondorf could get the Sage's sword, although they'd need to do a great job to make it stand out from his standard moveset.
Keep in mind that Xtreme Legends are just expansion packs, without the content of the base game. It also doesn't include the DLC. Koei does sometimes release editions that bundle the XL version with the base game, but generally it's only done for late ports, like DW8 for PS4. It never bundles the DLC with it though.
Besides, none of the spin offs, like Pirate Warriors and DW Gundam got expansion packs like that. Also, the DLC for the mainline games, that get those expansions, never included new characters and modes, unlike the DLC that HW is getting.
If the game ends up being considered successful enough though, we might get a Hyrule Warriors 2 at some point.

You're probably right on Fierce Deity... also wouldn't be much of a reskin as he plays rather differently from standard Link.
Hero's Shade is my guess but I don't know what that would look like. Its a generic Stalfos model in Twilight Princess aside from the unique, one-eyed golden wolf.

I dunno, the wording seems to work against that. "A familiar character from the Zelda series" seems to imply someone who's appeared in more than one game.

Hero's Shade had an unique design, in spite of being a ghostly skeleton.
The Stalfos didn't have that armor.
Given a weapon is basically a whole new moveset I don't think there's much of a difference.
If a TP rep is robbing anyone off a spot that's Agitha, but of course it doesn't work that way.
I can guarantee (sadly, because I'd love him in) that Toon Link isn't going to make it due to the game's emphasis on the realistic Zeldas.

Yea, but I think Toon Link would look so out of place, it would actually work well for him and make him stand out.
They could go with more of his Brawl design and sort of try to blend him in while still keeping cel shaded particles.

Amazing news, considering that my copy of Hyrule Warriors only arrived a couple of hours ago after a 20 day transatlantic voyage. It's great so far. I'd ask if the DLC is worth it so far, but only being a couple of hours in I probably wouldn't even understand the answer. There looks like there's tons of content in the base game anyway.

Pretty cool! Though I know I'm not the only one that was crossing their fingers for Midna's true form to be a weapon for Midna and for us to get a different new character entirely.
I wonder what the new weapon for this pack will be, then. The Spinner is unlocked in an entirely different way, after all. Perhaps... a Ganon transformation for Ganondorf?

Problem there is that those are different models as they don't have the same structure as Link. That's not a reskin, that's a completely different model that may as well be a different character then (and why would either of them fight like HyWa Link... what is he the "Hero of..." btw? Hero of Harems?).
Hero's Shade seems the most logical with the highly detailed Stalfos model+armor as NeonZ provided. It makes sense for him to have the same moves as Link as well since he is... Link.

I think he was proposing that the link costume be themed clothing for link, not a full new model. I do agree it sounds like they're implying it is a recurring character buti guess hero's shade is the hero of time so that works.
