1. Pillars of Eternity: The years have made me a jaded old bastard who doesn't really get hyped for games anymore, but Obsidian RPGs are generally the exception.

1. The Legend of Zelda (WiiU)

This wouldn't have made number 1 on my list if I hadn't experienced A Link Between Worlds and Wind Waker HD this year. Both these games show the potential of an open world Zelda. The game looks gorgeous and if the map is to be believed it will be HUGE. I can't wait to see more of this.

2. Bloodbourne (PS4)

Can I just call this Beast Souls? It seems to go back to basics with some neat introductions to combat mechanics. The monster designs are great and I can't wait to dive into this world.

3. Persona 5 (PS4)

Confession time. I hated Persona 3 and because of that I missed out on the much better recieved Persona 4 and I don't think I am giving this series a fair shake. These games are extremely well crafted and I hope to fall in love with the series this year with the rest of GAF.

4. Batman Arkham Knight (Multiplatform)

I simply adore Batman games and I want to see the end of the trilogy as a completionist. The Scarecrow segments returning is the biggest highlight for me so far. I look forward to see how well the Batmobile is incorporated in the game as well.

5. X (WiiU)

Riki pleased. Riki show everyone how great RPG is!

6. Witcher 3 (PC)

Another series I never gave a fair shake too. GORGEOUS visuals and ambition to back up the game give me a reason to pick up the Witcher 2 to prepare for the game.

7. Starfox (WiiU)

Just the idea of a new Starfox game finally gets me excited.

8. Just Cause 3 (Multiplatform)

I want to blow up all the things and hook illogical objects to planes.

9. Splatoon (WiiU)

With so many sequels coming out this year it is nice to see a new IP that looks refreshing and most importantly fun to play.

10. Uncharted 4 (PS4)

I am not nearly as hyped as half of GAF but the Uncharted series is always polished and enjoyable adventures.

Surprisingly easy to fill out a list and miss out on great games like Kirby, Yoshi, SFV, Final Fantasy XV and MGS5. All of which I want to see more of before I rank them.

6. Rime

7. No Man's Sky

8. Helldivers

9. The Order - 1886

10. The Witcher 3

1. Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter: This has a very real chance to joining my top 5 greatest games of all time. The first game proved to me that Falcom knows how to write good characters like no one else in the industry, and their music is unmatched. This will most likely be my game of the year, and one of my favorite games of all time if impressions from people who played it in japanese matches my experience and expectations.

2. Bravely Second: Bravely is my favorite new IP from the current generation, hands down. It brings back my love for the gameplay in turn based RPGs while keeping the pace quick and customize able. If i want to breeze through the game, i can. If i want to fight insane bosses that require tons of strategy and thought? I can do that too! I LOVE THIS SERIES!

3. Metal Gear Solid 5: MGS is one of my favorite series of all time. MGS 4 was my favorite game of all time for many years (until to the moon came out!) Kojima is a god.

4. Disgaea 5. CANNOT GET ENOUGH DISGAEA. it is too addictive, fun, and charming. I love NIS so much!

5. uncharted 4: i LOVE every uncharted game. I was not a fan of the ending of uncharted 3 but i love the writing and dialogue of naughty dog. Last of us was amazing and I cannot wait to play those beautiful graphics on my own!

6. Bloodborne: souls with a focus on offense... SOULD.

7. Ys: FALCOM CAN DO NO WRONG <3

8. Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart: I love strategy games and i love Noire, can't wait for this!

9. Rime: a Team ico game not by team ico! Really excited but hope it turns out as good as a team ico game... this could disappoint me big time i fear :\

10. Type 0 HD: Almost done with the jp version and loving it! Also Episode Duscae will be :O

1. The Witcher 3: action RPG where you're a bad ass monster Hunter. Add in the low fantasy, gritty, harshness of the world makes me love the universe. Not upset about the delay. I want them to get it right.

2. No Mans Sky: the ability to explore beautiful worlds is the reason I play video games. The ability to be my own Christopher Columbus and boldly go where no man has gone sold me.

3. The Order 1886: love the setting and the exotic weaponry and did I mention how good this game looks? Hopefully RAD can add its own flair to the genre.

4. Uncharted 4- I don't like uncharted as I used to. I didn't like the mechanics but with the new demo I can't wait. Still prolly won't like the story, but it looks like the last of us got into uncharted and that's a great thing.

5. Tomb raider 2- I refuse to call this rise, but I didn't expect much from the reboot and I loved it. Hopefully this one reels it back a little, killing more animals than humans ala the original Tomb Raider.

6. Quantum Break
7. Rime
8. Bloodborne
9. Hyper Light Drifter
10. The Division

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
2: No Man's Sky
3. Batman: Arkham Knight
4. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
5. MLB 15: The Show
5. Rime
6. The Order: 1886
7. The Witness
8. Bloodborne
9: Star Wars: Battlefront
10. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

1. Rainbow Six Siege : yes it's Ubi who can no longer be trusted after this year's debacles and ruining the Ghost Recon franchise, but it looks so damn promising, especially if they include a competent co-op terrorist hunt mode as well

2. The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt : I really enjoyed the 2nd installment and the playable stuff they have shown so far looks amazing.

3. Rime : I love everything I've seen and heard so far, especially the emphasis on lack of combat and am starving for a grand adventure game.

4. Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain : MGS games are some of my favorites of all-time (even 4) and I really like Ground Zeroes so I can't wait to see what Kojima has in store for us.

5. Uncharted 4 A Thief's End : This would be near the top of my list if I wasn't as disappointed that Naughty Dog went back to the well with this IP after a satisfying conclusion in UC3. It will no doubt be an outstanding game regardless.

6. Batman Arkham Knight : like most I've enjoyed Rocksteady's take on Batman and am looking forward to see how much better it can be on this generation's hardware.

7. Gang Beasts : this simple ass looking game looks like it will be a lot of fun with friends

8. The Division : yes again it's Ubi, and it will no doubt never live up to that initial reveal, but if they can manage a good amount of content and it doesn't end up releasing as a broken mess it will likely be worth investing time in with my buddies

9. Bloodborne : I tried to like Demon and Dark Souls but couldn't overlook all the jank and the terrible controls. This looks to have carried over the atmosphere and imagination of the Souls games with agile movement and true co-op.

10. NHL 16 : the NHL series has been one of my most played games each year since 2010 until it was shipped as a shell of it's former self this year. I'm not anticipating as much as I am hoping that it's drastically improved and that EASHL is in, it's 1080p, the goalies are overhauled and the commentary is redone.

1. Zelda Wii U - I'm still not sold on Nintendo's statement that it's coming out next year, but they said it would, and I want it to so dammit I'll put it here.

2. Majora's Mask 3D - This is the game that will get me to buy a 3DS (and I'll make it a New 3DS). One of my absolute favorite games of all time will do that.

3. Xenoblade Chronicles X - I mean come the fuck on.

4. Yoshi's Woolly World - I'm crossing my fingers that this could match up to Yoshi's Island SNES.

5. Splatoon - This looks creative, fresh, and fun. I can't wait!

6. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - This will be my first Monster Hunter game, and I can't wait to give it a shot.

7. Star Fox (Wii U) - It's this far down on the list because we still know nothing about it.

That's all I can think of at the moment. If I think of more things, I'll add them.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X : (Monoltih Soft creates amazing experiences)
2. Witcher 3 : (CD Project Red makes the best WRPGs in the business)
3. Zelda U : (Modern Zelda game like Zelda 1 and Zelda 2? Sign me the fuck up!!)
4. Uncharted IV : ( Strongest gameplay I've seen from Uncharted yet. Really interested)
5. Splatoon : (I just love how the mechanics in this game blend together.Squids are rad)
6. DS2:Record Breaker : (Finally get to sink my teeth into this)
7. CodeName S.T.E.A.M. : (Multiplayer is going to be beast)
8. Etrian Mystery Dungeon : (I love rogue likes)
9. A Legacy of Legends (AKA The Legend of Legacy In Japan. It looks amazing)
10. Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters :(looks like an interesting RPG Horror/Visual Novel game)

Other notable titles
Devil's Third : ( Its Itagaki Baby)
Monster Hunter IV Ultimate : (looking forward to hunting with some westerners)
Rodea The Sky Soldier ( Yuji' Naka's new game looks freaking good)
Hyper Light Drifter : (This game just looks fantastic imo)
Metal Gear Solid V : The Phantom Pain (Its Kojima man)
Dark Souls II : ( Have yet to play this game yet so I want to get it)
Bloodborne : (Action Minded Souls that looks like Castlevania? Hell Yeah!!)
Steam World Heist : (Loved Steam world dig. I'm interested in this, 2D strategy game)
Prodigy ( Looks interesting. : (NFC RPG game)
TearAway Unfolded : (Tear Away is amazing)
Persona 5 : ( I need to know if this is more like Persona 2 or Persona 3 since Persona 4 was milked to death and now Atlus no longer remembers it exists)
No Mans Sky : ( I have no clue what goes on in this game and Im excited to try it)
Starfox : ( I dont even know the scope of this game, how can I be excited? I just played 64 on my New 3DS and Ikaruga lmao. You )
Dragons Dogma 2 (Will you even release next year? Pleas be so)
Godzilla PS3 ( Will you even be good?)
Mario Maker ( Not really sold on this quite yet.)
Tom Clancy's Six Siege ( Its a ubisoft game so I need to see if the PC port is any good)

1. Bloodborne : Another Souls style game by From Software. I'm so ready for this. Everything is pointing in the right direction, for this to be a brilliant game.

2. Zelda Wii U : The next step in what's probably my favourite series of all time. Looks like it's shaking up the formula little. I'm very excited, even after Skyward Sword disappointed me.

3. Hotline Miami 2 : The sequel to an incredibly fun game, one of my favourite indie titles. It's a shame it got delayed so much, but I'm ready for it!

4. Splatoon : I'm still cautious, but it looks like it could be a lot of fun. It appears to have a lot of attention to detail, which is generally a good sign. If they add a lot of verity and make the mechanics fun, it could be a really really good game.

5. Majora's Mask 3D : I enjoyed Majora's Mask a lot. I'm ready to replay it, improved, and actually finish it this time.

6. No Man's Sky : I'm still very critical of this, but it has the potential to be one of the most revolutionary games in years.

7. Captain Toad: Treasure Trackers : Why do we have to wait a month for this? Anyway, the game looks pretty fun, but maybe a bit expensive for what it is.

8. Mario Maker : A Mario Level creator, that, in itself, is a good enough concept. I'm just worried there wont be enough customization.

9. Bad Rats 2 : HECK YES!

10. Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin : despite being a bit of a disappointment, this will be a perfect opportunity for me to play the DLC.

Oh DOA5 LR counts?
Thought that people would count it as rerelease/expansion, a bit like Ultra SFIV .
Brb updating my list then.

1: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - My favorite saga of all time(i have even got the bachelor's degree talking about it)

2: Final Fantasy XV - I miss a JRPG of quality, but i don't trust square enix anymore, she ruined everything because her need to milk every brand she has. KH was beautiful and was ruined, FFXIII was bad and its saga was even worse. FFXV is visually stunning(but i fear for its gameplay) and is born already with the idea of being exploited, so it can't get worse. And as i said, i miss a JRPG of quality.

3: Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Another of my favorite series (from the beginning). For me it has done nothing but improve(excluding 6 that was a step back, but still funny), and the Revelations series(and this one especially) seems the true successor of the first generation.

4: The Division - I don't trust Ubisoft either, it murdered one of the best franchise ever created(Assassin's Creed) and i'll never forgive it for this. But The Division seems interesting with its setting and gadgets, it reminds me MGS in some way. Besides, it's a mmo, so it can't become a franchise(with a plot) to exploit over the allowed.

5: Dying Light - A Dead Island with more quality, what can be better of that?

6: Final Fantasy: Type Zero - Same as for FFXV, i miss a JRPG of quality, even if a PSP porting.

7: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Honestly, i'm tired of Uncharted and its simple gameplay. But is made by Naughty Dog. So it can't be a bad game.

8: Persona 5 - The series is always entertaining and original

9: Batman: Arkham Knight - I don't like games on super heroes, but the Arkham series has always had a wonderful contextualization, good quality and interesting cast, so i can't leave it behind.

10: The Order: 1886 - Because yes, it does not attract me, but a new ip is always a good thing

I would put The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt in the second place, but i refuse to buy a game without having played the prequels, especially if CD Projekt RED never cared to give me the possibility to play them in the way i can.
And yes, i know that my english sucks.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : I've been needing this in my system ever since the original unveiling of Ground Zeroes. My hype for a game in this series has never been higher, and Kojima-san looks to be in top form for this outing. I've wanted more ever since those final moments of Ground Zeroes. This is the final link between the Big Boss era and the Solid Snake era. The fall of Big Boss, the rise of Outer Heaven. Give it to me now.

2. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : Any Zelda game makes me all giddy in the pants and this looks to be the most ambitious title yet. I'm beyond excited that the forced motion controls of Skyward Sword are gone and traditional play has returned. Yes we know very little so far, but after the series innovations presented in A Link Between Worlds, I have nothing but high hopes for this game.

3. Xenoblade Chronicles X : The original Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my favorite games of all time. The scale in X looks to be beyond the already impressive scale of its predecessor. This will be the Wii U's definitive RPG.

4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : Assassins of Kings was one of the best RPGs I've played in years, and it was a game where your choices actually changed the way the story plays out. Wild Hunt looks even more ambitious with a full open world. Geralt's final chapter is going to be a great one.

5. Batman: Arkham Knight : I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for anything Batman. Asylum and City were two of the best PS360 games, and after City's shocking ending, I can't wait to see how the chapter of this Batman tale closes.

6. Bloodborne : I've never played Demon or Dark Souls (yeah yeah send me to the depths) but everything about Bloodborne screams out as something I need to play.

7. No Man's Sky : I've mentioned a lot about ambition in this list. No game next year looks more ambitious than No Man's Sky.

8. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Still need to finish UC3, but Drake's final chapter is sure to be a nonstop thrill.

9. Splatoon : A fun creative multiplayer-oriented title for the Wii U? Sign me up.

10. Yoshi's Woolly World : Haven't played a Yoshi game since Yoshi's Story way back when but the art direction in this one is too good to pass up.

Honorable Mentions : Mario Maker, Rainbow Six: Siege, The Order: 1886, Code Name S.T.E.A.M.

Edited my list if Scalebound isn't going to be counted.

If Street Fighter V could be included, that would have been my number one without a doubt. Silent Hills and Final Fantasy XV would deserve a mention as well. But, since they cannot be included, here is the rest:

1: The Legend of Zelda Wii U - I was sold on the first teaser and their explanation alone. Can't wait for a 3D Zelda game that will break free of Ocarina's formula (regardless of how good that formula indeed has been). The last Zelda game that fully engrossed me was Twilight Princess (because of its sombre tones and large world mostly I think - which I feel this new game might include as well), so I'm very much due for a new game that will do the same. I can only hope it will end up being that open world game that finally delivers on that which the NES Zelda games hinted at in their concept art and in-game graphic: a large, meaningful world full of things to explore and opportunities to do battle with challenging foes.

2: Bloodborne - I have been a big fan of Miyazaki and FROM's work since Demon's Souls and few games come close to offering the deep gameplay experience, interesting lore, and brooding dark fantasy setting that these games do. I am sure Bloodborne will offer the same as well, despite the change in setting to a Victorian one and despite it focusing more on attacking than defending. My only fear is that multiplayer will become too hard to ignore in this game and that my usual offline (occasional strategy guide in hand) style of playing will be less doable / satisfying. Despite this caveat, this is the game that will make me buy a PS4.

3: Splatoon - A quirky and cartoony third person shooter featuring squids and octopi, territory based gameplay, ink shooting and platform elements, and made by a young Nintendo team? Sign me up! This game is exactly what Nintendo should do more of - building upon their decades of solid game design philosophies and talent for creating gripping art and worlds, and mixing this with modern game design elements like online multiplayer and team-based co-operation. For my sake, I do hope the single player mode is as cool as the trailers have been promising us, as I won't buy any game for multiplayer alone.

4: Star Fox Wii U - How we have waited for a new Star Fox game, especially one that (hopefully) stays mostly true to Star Fox 64's gameplay! Apart from F-Zero and Kid Icarus (and Metroid, but I'm sure that's coming at some point) there are no Nintendo IP's I wanted to return more than this one, so I'm still elated it's actually coming. Let's hope the game will offer the high speed action, varied settings, humor and charm of the past games while also making it more than an arcade like experience that is over in a few hours. Maybe implementing a few (gamepad centered) controls and mini-games like the ones demoed earlier might help in that regard.

5: Batman: Arkham Knight - I yet have to play Arkham City (was planning to as soon as the weather got colder but then my PS3 broke), but I thoroughly enjoyed Arkham Asylum, which is enough for me to get hyped for this new game. The footage seen so far looks great as well, though I do hope that it doesn't get too much like a Battlefield game with all the shooting and tank combat. In Rocksteady we trust!

6: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - I've always thoroughly enjoyed the Uncharted games even before they got big in popularity. The mix of climbing, shooting, exploring, humor, great settings and occasional supernatural elements make these game quite entertaining to me. Sure, the 4th game may indeed be more of the same, but for now that is good enough for me.

7: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - While I haven't kept up with this series and the latest game (Ground Zeroes), I recently rediscovered why I fell head over heels with MGS 1 - 4 in the past and am now very excited to get back on board. Kojima is still king when it comes to crafting games that seem larger than life but still grounded in (a consistent) reality. The way he portrays (and animates) soldiers as ninja-esque super commando's makes me care for them more than any Western game featuring soldiers, PMC's and gunplay.

8: Mighty No. 9 - While I'm still not fully sold on the game's visuals (the levels look a bit too grey and metallic to me), I do have faith in Inafune and his team to make a game that will play great. It deserves a spot on my list because of it's Mega Man-like nature and Manami Matsumae score alone.

9: No Man's Sky - Bit of a wild card for me still. Absolutely love the game's aesthetics and premise, but it might end up being too much like games such as Mine Craft, WoW or DayZ in the sense that multiplayer and creative agency dominate the experience. If it is a nearly endless exploration game with optional (satisfying) combat and worlds that will instill you with wonder, this game might turn out to be one of the most important of this generation. Going by its genuine and sympathetic sounding creators, I certainly would wish it becomes such a success for them.

10: Persona 5 - Quite curious about this one, especially because I (*gasp*) never played 3 or 4. Heard so many great things about this series that I look forward to 5 finally being my chance to join the fun. JRPG's have long been one of my favorite genres, making this series, and part 5 in particular, a thing I should keep an eye on.

Phew, making this list proved to be quite tricky due to large amount of stellar looking game coming out in 2015. Here are my honourable mentions in random order (apart from the first four), if anyone cares (though some of these could be in my actual list if I had owned or planned on owning a Xbox One, which at this point in time I don't): Hyper Light Drifter (my no. 11), Xenoblade Chronicles X (my no. 12), Mario Maker (my no. 13), Dai Gyakuten Saiban (my no. 14; fingers crossed it comes the West), Yoshi's Wooly World, Scalebound (Platinum = believe), The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, Devil's Third, Mad Max, King's Quest, Super Time Force Ultra, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (my chance to jump on board), The Tomorrow Children (Q Games + Sony Japan = interest), Rise of the Tomb Raider (quite liked the first one, despite an alarming lack of Tombs), Broken Age: The Complete Adventure (not played part 1 yet...but love Tim Shafer's output), Rime, Mortal Kombat X (always been a casual fan of this series), Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (might not count, but still), Below, Darkest Dungeon, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

1. Halo 5: Guardians: Favorite series and lore master. Hope for massive sandbox environments in the campaign, only problem with H4's campaign was not enough big levels. Multiplayer-wise, love that they are coming back to competitive arena combat but the game is way too fast. Sprint + clamber + dash = nono

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Nothing much needs to be said. 10 hour set piece, brilliant story romp.

3. No Man's Sky: I still doubt this game will exist as it is, but everythign they have shown has been spot on.

4. Star Wars: Battlefront: Huge Battlefront fan, they in-engine teaser they showed boosted it this high.

5. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Been wanting a Skyrim-like game for next gen and here it is. Just wanna get lost in the forest for tens of hours in a truly next gen world.

6. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain: Ground Zeroes was my first foray into MGS. The mechanics and the entire suite was perfect. As Angry Joe said, this gameplay expanded to the full Phantom Pain release is going to be incredible.

7. The Order: 1886: Big PS fan and The Order is right up my alley. I for one love the shooting mechanics and the vibe of the story. Still could fail but I'm much more confident in its success now than a year ago.

8. Until Dawn: The PSX presentation impressed the hell out of me. Huge Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls fan, which is also why I love The Order's sorta quick time sections.

9. Project Cars: Just like Witcher, I've been waiting even longer for a true sim as GT5 disappointed and I never got Forza 4.

10. Persona 5: it was between this and Batman, and I feel like I know what I'm getting into for Batman. Shows you how incredible 2015 is. Played Persona 4 for 30 hours on Vita. Didn't beat it, but I'm really excited to get deep into P5 on PS4.

Honorable Mentions: RIME, Batman Arkham Knight, The Witness, Adr1ft, the Forest, Wild, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division

I have moved on from my 3DSXL to my Wii U (games are too many and time is too short, woe my backlog), so will try to play as many as possible of these in 2015.

The starting lineup:

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U):
Haven`t played Xenoblade on Wii, so will be a new gaming experience. Love me some space opera if that`s the way it goes.

2. Legend of Zelda (Wii U):
This is how I imagine Ocarina of Time would look if Nintendo had the hardware power of Wii U back in 1998.

3. Devil`s Third (Wii U):
Over the top bloody action on a Nintendo system, plus those chickens from one of the E3 gameplay sessions indicate some off the wall humour in between the bloodshed.

4. Splatoon (Wii U):
Fresh game and fresh ideas from the younger guys and gals at Nintendo. Surprise me.

5. Mario Maker (Wii U):
To lazy and probably to tired after work to make anything of importance, but will just fool around and have a good time with it when I feel like it.

6. Star Fox (Wii U):
In Miyamoto I trust. Since I have no idea what I will get here. Is it a proper successor to Star Fox 64/Lylat Wars 64?

7. Project CARS (Wii U):
Real cars and sim car racing on my Wii U? Is this even possible? Yes, yes it is.

8. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Wii U):
Seems like a fun and polished little gaming snack, looking forward to playing it as it releases over here in Europe in January.

9. Yoshi`s Woolly World (Wii U)

10. Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Wii U)

On the bench:
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U)
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (Wii U): Would be on the list if I knew it would be out in 2015, but no info from Nintendo yet.

Since their release schedule shows it as "TBA", unlike games like Zelda and StarFox being "TBA 2015", and as the 2015 lineup is already pretty packed, I'm sure they're keeping it for 2016.

1. Mad Max
Post-apocalyptic open world with vehicle combat. 'Nuff said.

2. Forza Motorsport 6
Excited to see what "next-gen" Forza looks like with two years of polish.

3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Witcher and Witcher 2 are among my most memorable gaming experiences ever, and now we get to play Geralt in an open world.

4. Rise of the Tomb Raider
My hope is that this game improves on the last by integrating the kind of puzzles that made this series so beloved in the first place.

5. Quantum Break
The time-manipulation mechanic seems unique and should be very engaging if Remedy pulls it off. Hopefully it's used for puzzle-solving too and not just action.

6. Halo 5: Guardians
I'm one of those weirdos that missed out on Halo as it was happening, but my goal is to get through the MCC before this one releases.

7. Just Cause 3
I never played the first JC, but I must have played JC2 for over a hundred hours. The grappling hook and stunt parachute mechanics are just so damn satisfying. Can't wait!

8. Pillars of Eternity
BG2 is my favorite game of all time. This should be higher on my list, but I have some concerns about combat and classes.

9. Torment: Tides of Numenera
Planescape: Torment is my second favorite game of all time, and this should be higher on my list as well, but I'm deeply skeptical this can deliver on expectations. Plus, it'll probably be a 2016 game anyway.

10. Star Wars: Battlefront
I'll probably suck and die a lot, but it'll be glorious.

1. Mario Maker: If there is one game I think will be perfect for the Wii U GamePad, it is Mario Maker. It's a simple yet ingenious idea (as demonstrated by Lunar Magic and similar) and if executed correctly with good emphasis on content sharing online, this could create a huge and thriving community for many years to come. It shouldn't be that difficult to add new content after time either. Game looks and feels great, can't wait to try it.

2_thelegendofzelda4gu3f.png

2. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U): While we haven't seen much from this title, it appears to incorporate some neat new fresh ideas to the franchise with the open world gameplay being the most apparent. I like the visual style a lot, also the fluent horseback gameplay seems intriguing. Definitely a must have for me.

3_thephantompain80ugm.png

3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: The story of Kojima's upcoming epos I find really interesting, with a lot of controversial topics like nuclear proliferation and child soldiers. Coupled with awesome gameplay regardless of how you choose to play, this seems like a great experience. Also, it's gonna be neat seeing how far you can push the game and Fox Engine in terms of graphics (on PC obviously).

4_nomansskyteuvm.png

4. No Man's Sky: I like games featuring procedural generation. It may not fit for every genre, but in terms of exploration, which seems to be what No Man's Sky focuses on, it's a great match. That together with the wondrous visual style of the game and music by 65daysofstatic ought to make for a stunning experience.

5_starwarsbattlefrontcjuux.png

5. Star Wars Battlefront: I trust DICE will make this equally qualitative to or better than the previous games in the series. And that's a premise holding good things. To take on the role as a jedi or sith, or other classes, in the heat of battle has been proven a winning concept. With the opportunities granted by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this one ought to be a gorgeous game.

6_gtavbvuho.png

6. Grand Theft Auto V (PC): I didn't get around to play this game when it released, so I'm eager to try it on PC one it launches in January 2015. That it's a great game I don't have to try and validate. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride while also getting to create mods and whatnot.

7_overwatchmsu2i.png

7. Overwatch: A new IP by Blizzard one shouldn't ignore. Sure, the multiplayer first-person shooter genre isn't new, but Overwatch can hopefully bring some new ideas to it. I like the many different characters, the story and the levels. If they bring mod tools (maps, game modes etc.) too, they'll likely ace a new blockbuster.

8_wattamhjutc.png

8. Wattam: Whatever this is, I will probably like it a lot. Keita's previous games, Katamari and Noby Noby Boy, have been really fun. That Funomena comprises a really strong team doesn't make it any worse.

9_humanelementduumb.png

9. Human Element: Nice visual style, even though on a technical level not overly impressive, to this and a neat story idea. The customization options to your character are interesting.

10_beforenuue7.png

10. Before: Adorable visual style and gameplay that does not seem very stressful (for a survival game). And as it is by Facepunch Studios (Garry's Mod, Rust), I'm expecting some really genuine mod tools and that's always fun.

1.-Xenoblade Chronicles X: because it'l be massive and adding mechas seems exciting. The first Xenoblade is also one of my favorite games ever so I'm pretty optimistic about their new game.

2.-The Legend of Zelda: because I love these games and this one will be bigger than ever, I hope the world is exciting
not a lot of empty space like Wind Waker which was the last time they tried to go open world-ish

3.-Tales of Zestiria: Maybe I'll wait for the ps4 version because I can't stand the popping but the combat seems that I'll be great because it's more like Graces and the skits and character interactions are really fun in these games.
4.-Final Fantasy Type-0.
5.-Ratchet & Clank remake. Really like the Ratchet games (well at least the ones I've played)
6.-Yoshi's Woolly World
7-.Tearaway Unfolded

I'm not sure if I'll end up buying them all next year

I'd mention Persona but I've not played the previous games so I don't have idea if I'd like it and I read that there is dungeon crawling in these games (I'm not a big fan of dungeon crawling)

DOA5 Last Round has a date doesn't it?

Scalebound doesn't count as it doesn't have any form of release window estimate. Not sure about Tekken 7, if anyone knows any dates associated with it feel free to chime in.

Tekken 7 releases on arcades in February, I think. I don't know if that counts...

1.The Legend of Zelda Wii U

The Legend of Zelda series ist still one of my 2 all time Favorites. The game now open World, possibly it is going to to be the most open Zelda title. I'm very hyped to explore Hyrule again and cut all the grass
2.Persona 5

Played P4G on the Vita and I never expected that it would be such a terrific game. It is one of my favorite JRPGs and thats why I want play the next Persona game sooner then later.

3.Xenoblade Chronicles X
I am currently playing the first game and the trailers to X are fantastic. It looks like it can be another big JRPG hit and I totally don't want to miss it.

4.The Witcher 3

I played the previos titles and I liked them a lot and the trailerts to new one are looking really good too. Can't wait to play as Geralt again

5.Splatoon

A new Ip by Nintendo, wich is a Multiplayer TPS with charming characters and a new spin on the Genre. I really can't ignore this
6.Star Wars Battlefront

It's Star Wars

7.Dai Gyakuten Saiban
I'm not sure if this come out in the West next year, but the Ace Attorney series always gets me. I was never dissapointed with an AA, Shu Takumi is working on this one and it has Sherlock Holmes and Watson, so no reason not to be hyped on this one.

8.Uncharted 4
I only played the Vita Uncharted and it was okay. But after playing The Last of Us, I'm kinda hyped for the new Naughty Dog game

9.Hyper Light Drifter
The art and the gameplay got me really excited, when I saw the Kickstarter. I backed the game and I'm looking forward to finally play the game.

10.Bloodbourne

I'm not actually a huge fans of the Souls games, but the faster combat seems refreshing and I hope there more major changes to the Souls games, but it is looking good so far

1. Uncharted: A Thief's End
Naughty Dog is my favorite developer, having made my most-loved series on every PlayStation console (Crash, Jak, and Uncharted!). Getting another instalment in Uncharted for next-generation consoles is extremely gratifying and I will be counting down the days until it releases (hopefully) next year. I should also mention that I've spent more time on UC2 multiplayer than any other game since, and I really hope that they are able to take the competitive gameplay to the next level. I'm confident they will after seeing what they've achieved in The Last Of Us PvP.

2. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
I've been hoping for a completely open world Zelda ever since I played my first Zelda game (Twilight Princess on Wii!). Although TP itself was relatively open world, I fully believe that the magicians at Nintendo will once again redefine what it means to be an open-world RPG (just as they did in Ocarina of Time). For the first time, they are developing in HD with sufficient hardware specs to push the draw distance, enemy number, and overall visual quality. Also here's hoping they bring back MotionPlus. Sorry haters!

3. Batman Arkham Knight
Everyone says it, but the Batman series absolutely sets the bar for third person combat in video games and nothing else compares to that visceral feeling of attacking and countering tons of thugs. Rocksteady has completely won my trust as a consumer, and this truly next-gen entry in the series looks appropriately epic to close the Arkham saga.

4. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain
I've never played a MGS game in my life, but I've been following the trailers released for it and the production values are stratospheric. The location variety is amazing, and the core gameplay looks solid. Plus, I've always liked Keifer since his 24 days.

5. The Division
I keep waiting for an awesome MMO shooter, and Destiny certainly did not deliver it this year. The Division looks like it will fill this gap in the market with its persistent, team-based gameplay. I'm still a little concerned that they've prioritized the visuals over having an enjoyable long-term gameplay experience, but it's a relief to know that Ubisoft Core isn't involved (apart from outsourced art).

6. Rise of the Tomb Raider
Although I won't actually be playing it in 2015 on my system of choice, I am looking forward to the second entry in what I consider to be an excellent series reboot. In fact, I'd say the first game's quality far surpassed the original Tomb Raider games. I'm a little worried about how far Crystal Dynamics will be pushing it visually because it's a cross-gen game, but as long as they keep the core gameplay intact (possibly with more tombs), I'll be satisfied. Also, I'm really hoping they forego a multiplayer component as it was a complete waste of resources in the first game.

7. Splatoon
Splatoon brings some real innovation to the shooter scene when there hasn't been any in quite some time. I don't really give a shit about the story mode they're developing, but the multiplayer seems like it's going to be a helluva good time. I fully expect the same polish and well-thought out design that Nintendo consistently delivers in their titles. Also can't wait to play some split screen online with friends.

8. The Witness
There aren't enough puzzle games regularly released for consoles (or PC for that matter). I wasn't particularly a fan of Braid, but this looks more akin to something like Myst. Apart from the stunning visuals, what I've seen of the puzzles so far in The Witness looks intriguing albeit confusing (but surely that's what you want from a puzzle game?). I'm a little curious as to what they'll charge for this game, as it sounds like there will be enough content to slap a $40 price tag on it.

9. Ratchet and Clank Redux
Ratchet and Clank was one of my favorite series on PlayStation 2. I felt like the quality dipped slightly in the PS3 iterations, but overall I really love the frenetic mix of gunplay and platforming. I don't expect Insomniac to rock the boat too much with this movie tie-in, nor do I expect the game to be particularly long and meaningful (bound to be a lower budget production). However, it should still be a lot of fun.

10. Bloodborne
A few of my friends loved Dark Souls, but I could never get into it. I was loaned Dark Souls II for a few days and absolutely hated it. The controls seemed sluggish and unwieldy, I had absolutely not idea what my objective was, and the visuals were downright disgusting after playing next-gen titles. However, Bloodborne seems to combat all of these complaints and the trailers released thus far have left a long-lasting impression on me. It also means I'll be able to play co-op with some real life buddies.

Note that I'm not listing games I expect to miss 2015 (ie. Mass Effect 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV, The Last Guardian, Mirror's Edge 2).

There are only a few things I'd say I'm overly hyped for, so I'll only vote for the three that have me frothing at the mouth and the ass.

1. The Legend of Zelda for Wii U: After two games that did a lot experimenting and daring things to the traditional Zelda formula, Nintendo has basically stop faffing about, grabbed Zelda by the balls and given it a swift and well needed tug. From what we know right now, in a series with about 10 black horses, we might be getting another that becomes THE black horse, and that's something very, very exciting.

2. Bloodborne: I want more Souls and I played a demo of this at the Eurogamer expo this year and went back to it a few times because I wanted the satisfaction of having beaten it. Very few games give me that masochistic urge to keep going, and FromSoft's stuff always hits the right note for that. For the record, I couldn't beat the demo, but that just made me want to play it more.

3. MGS V: The Phantom Pain: Ground Zeroes got me thirsty, and now I want the real deal. I want to know how twisted Kojima can make this thing and I'm not sure if that's indicative of how stupid his plots are or how enticing they are. Either way, I want to fulton some sheep.

4. Persona 5: give me the goods or im going to japan and throwing a brick at a random school that i think might have inspired persona 5

2. No Man's Sky: I don't have a PS4 but if this game turns out good and forever console exclusive - who knows

3. Quantum Break: Big fan of Alan Wake so interested in seeing what Remedy Brings to the table

4. Assassins Creed Revelations: (Does this count?) Victorian London hopefully Ubi have learnt - have not played Unity yet

5. FIFA 16: Hope they put some work into it

Just realising that i don't have 10 must buy games for 2015 off the top of my head. Batman is my only other honourable mention at the moment. hmmm

2. Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain
""I read this all the time: "Metal Gear is dumb". "Metal Gear is stupid anime shit mixed with military nonsense". And despite acknowledging the fact that the series has a very quirky and to many people off-putting side, I still love everything about it. The long cutscenes, the creative character designs and looks, the stealth gameplay - everything. When I finished Ground Zeroes this year, I sat in front of my TV the same way I did back when Halo 2 ended with its infamous cliffhanger. I was skeptical at first when they introduced all the new gameplay mechanics, but I am a believer now. This will be one of the best games of 2015 and I can't wait.""

For me, this comes as a huge surprise that people actually talk about Metal Gear Solid this way. I'm really glad you didn't listen to those ridiculous criticisms and played the series. I'm also excited for MGS V since the series is my favourite of all time. Believe it or not though, I haven't played peace walker and ground zeroes yet since I didn't get a ps4 yet. When I do, ill do the usual 1-2-3 combo and hopefully experience one of the best storytelling that Hideo Kojima is known for.
