1. Bloodborne : I am such a huge fan of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls that there is really no way I couldn't be hyped for this. The game is just oozing with style and, after playing the game at PSX, the combat is great; it's different enough from the Souls games to stand on its own, but still very familiar to anyone who has ever experienced the series.

So8Ywta.png

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End : Naughty Dog is up there with my favorite developers of all time. I've loved everything they put out since the PS1 era and Uncharted is a series that is always about being on a thrill ride and having a good time. The gameplay demo they showcased at PSX looked like a natural evolution of the Uncharted formula and frankly, looks phenomenal.

X8xsw5Q.png

3. Persona 5 : I've been a huge fan of this series. I got into it with P3 and have basically played every single release since (including the PSP remakes of Persona, Innocent Sin, and then the PS1 version of Eternal Punishment). The series just gets so much right within its genre that it's really hard to put down once you start. It's been a hell of a long time since 4 so I'm eagerly anticipating what the next major installment will bring to the table.

IIcitu3.png

4. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Metal Gear Solid is up there with my favorite video game franchises. I've lost count of how many times I've been each of the MGS games and, while I haven't picked up Ground Zeroes yet (I will soon!), everything that they have shown about Phantom Pain just looks like everything I would ever want out of a Metal Gear game. I personally can't wait to start building my Mother Base.

LqKbCk4.png

5. No Man's Sky : I was sold on the concept of the game since day 1 and everything they've been sharing about the game since then have just made me want to game more and more. There has been some hesitation surrounding the game regarding it's actual 'gameplay' but honestly even ignoring what the developers has said what is going to be happening within the game, if the game was nothing but going out and exploring this unknown galaxy, I would be perfectly happy with that.

jPWTApb.png

6. The Order 1886 : The game looks gorgeous; easily the best looking game I've ever seen and everything RAD has said regarding it's narrative has me very interested. I got to play the game at PSX and, while the game certainly is a third-person shooter, everything about the gunplay felt incredibly satisfying. It left me more interested in trying out some of the more 'out there' weapons like the Termite Rifle or Arc Gun. But really I'm going into this looking for pretty good narrative so if it delivers on that, all is good.

0PgvPlU.png

7. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD : So I've waited for this game to make it westward ever since it's PSP release in Japan. It always looked interesting, certainly more so than the XIII series that Square was pushing, but I've purposely kept myself dark on information regarding this game. I've heard that it was actually pretty good, if flawed, but I'm so excited for a new FF game that isn't XIII or an MMO (though I love XIV) that it probably wouldn't have mattered if I heard good things or not.

5XGRxyd.png

8. Yakuza 5 : So holy shit. I'm still in shock that this is actually getting localized. I've been a huge fan of the franchise and it's been hard knowing that new games in it probably wouldn't be released outside of Japan. I have given up on the idea of 5 getting localized but seeing it becoming a reality is just...great. Defintely going to buy this and show my support and hopefully Sony can get Sega to bring over Zero.

yVbauX7.png

9. The Witness : Have been interested in the game since it's reveal at the Playstation Event back in 2013. The game looks aesthetically pleasing and the open nature of the puzzles/world makes it one of those games I would like to just explore. I played the game for about an hour at PSX, just getting to the point of solving 1 of the 'major' puzzle sections and it's just one of those games where your going through these puzzles and wondering how it all works when you have this 'Eureka!' moment where everything comes together. It's such a satisfying feeling that I can't wait to play more of it.

S5mTiqc.png

10. Amplitude : I'm such a huge fan of the original and I backed the Kickstarter for this to become a reality. I need my rhythm game fix and, from what I played at PSX, this is everything I remembered the original Amplitude being; both in regards to gameplay and having a kickass soundtrack.

There are easily more games I would like to list but there is my top 10. 2015 is going to be such a great time

1. MGSV
2. No Man's Sky
3. Uncharted.
4. Persona 5

I have a million other indie games, but they will never get into the top ten, I feel like we should have a seperate indie list if this hasn't already been mentioned or else very very select few will get nominated ever in lists like this.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain :

I really love how open ended the game seems to be, and Ground Zeroes showed a lot of potential.

2. Batman: Arkham Knight :

This looks to be the most ambitious Arkham game yet, and it's pushing the hardware in exciting ways.

3. No Man's Sky :

I still can't wrap my head around this game. If it lives up to what it's promising I can see myself never getting tired of it.

4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End :

I've loved all the Uncharted games and this looks to be no different.

5. Rainbow Six: Siege :

I just can't see this game living up to the hype given Ubi's track record this year. But if it does then it will easily be a GOTY contender.

6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt :

I'm not a big RPG fan but I really want to explore the open world.

7. The Order: 1886 :

Amazing graphics, though the gameplay hasn't particularly moved me.

8. The Division :

Again, I just don't see this game being anywhere near as good as the trailers.

9. Dying Light :

10. Zelda U ;

1, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain:
I have a very soft spot for Metal Gear Solid. MGS1 was the game that got me into gaming, and over the last 15 years my passion has grown up alongside it. Also, it helps that every mainline entry is in contention for the best game released on its respective console. Seriously cannot wait.

79hPNSo.jpg

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End:
Third-person action-adventures are my thing, simply put. Concise, curated fun is my favourite thing to play, and Naughty Dog are arguably the best at doing it. I'd take a 10-hour corridor romp over a 100-hour meandering RPG any day, which leads me to...

xFkmM3w.jpg

3. The Order: 1886:
I see it getting a lot of flack on the boards for being derivative, uninspired, and "'lol where's gameplay'. I just can't see it at all. It's a tightly-packed, action-focussed, graphical masterpiece that I can't wait to play. Also, it's set in Whitechapel, where I live, so that's pretty cool.

nIvkJST.png

4. OlliOlli 2:
The sequel to my 2014 GOTY. I've actually played it extensively at the Roll7 offices, and it is just quintessentially a perfect sequel. Expands on the original in every possible area in the most logical and fun way you can imagine. If you liked the first, you will love OlliOlli 2.

d7xzdgL.png

5. No Man's Sky:
Somewhat contradictory to what I said above, the open-endedness of No Man's Sky is what appeals to me most. Everything they've said about the game and everything I've seen is just a breath of fresh air. I'm looking forward to wandering aimlessly and exploring new worlds with that gorgeous colour palette. I'm not a big online gamer either, so the emphasis on solitary travel suits me just fine.

Ucj399M.png

6. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number:
I'll admit, my excitement for Hotline Miami 2 has waned somewhat the longer I go without hearing about it. Nevertheless, the first game was just a delight to play on my Vita, where I think the second will shine as well. Straightforward arcade fun, which is exactly what I need in an era of 15-minute opening cutscenes and drab narratives.

fhh8Z4b.jpg

7. Batman: Arkham Knight:
Just looks great. The first two were seriously enjoyable, and Knight is set to continue that trend with a bigger world, lovely visuals, and even the Batmobile.

VdyWKJe.png

8. Superhot:
First-person shooting with a twist. I really enjoyed the demo, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they flesh it out into a full game.

DpANzJt.png

9. Super Stardust Ultra:
For my money, Super Stardust was always better than Housemarque's first PS4 effort, Resogun, so I'm looking forward to seeing my favourite SHMUP come to next-gen.

vn9692F.png

10. Assassin's Creed Victory:
Yes, Unity's launch was pretty messy. Yes, the series is growing complacent and stagnant as a result. Yes, I will probably buy Victory day one anyway. I just love the worlds Ubisoft builds with Assassin's Creed, and while the series has gone through ups and downs, I always come out satisfied. I can't wait to see what it does next.

Honourable Mentions
Bloodborne, Bastion on PlayStation, Final Fantasy X HD on PS4, Just Cause 3, Persona 5, Ratchet & Clank, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Tearaway Unfolded, Volume.

My most anticipated games 2014...

...well this is awkward... my most anticipated games have no release date announcements (Torment: Tides of Numenera, Pillars of Eternity, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Satellite Reign).

Looking at the confirmed release list, I'll go with:

1. Batman: Arkham Knight ; The mechanics of the Arkham games are just perfect, accessible to the AAA audience yet still challenging and layered enough for hardcore players. Even better, they completely sell the fantasy of being Batman. I'm apprehensive about the Batmobile and what it means for gameflow but Rocksteady has earned my trust and then some.

batman-arkham-knight-header3-664x374.jpg

2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ; For all the praise The Witcher games get, I find them enjoyable but very flawed from both a gameplay and a story perspective. But there's no denying that these games are made with huge love and attention to detail.... I'm hopeful that CDR will finally get the formula right in this third outing. If nothing else, it looks breathtaking will probably bring my PC to its knees.

TheWitcher3-2.jpg

3. Grand Theft Auto V ; I really like open world games and this is still the granddaddy of them all. Glad to see it finally come to my beloved platform with visual enhancements to boot.

52308_fb.jpg

  1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : of course, any core Metal Gear title, I'm there for... it was MGS4 that saw me buy a PS3, and MGS5 will compel my purchase of a PS4...
  2. Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS : very much looking forward to playing this on a New 3DS or New 3DSXL this coming year....
  3. Resident Evil Revelations 2 : I was pleased to see this is coming to Vita and will be there day one... It'd be nice to fit a replay of Revelaitions in on a New 3DS prior to the release...
  4. Silent Hills : cuz da chills...
  5. Persona 5 : I was saddened by the fact that Atlus wasn't bringing this to Vita as well as PS3/4, but I'll play it nonetheless...
  6. Godzilla : mindless destruction with friends is half the fun of video games... looks like an update of King of the Monsters to me, and that's something to look forward to!
  7. Final Fantasy Type 0 HD : cuz Final Fantasy and < || = XII...

  1. Bloodborne: I truly enjoy the Souls' series and I can't wait to get my hands on this one. I'm also digging the 19th Gothic Victorian atmosphere.
  2. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number: This game is like crack; I just can't get enough of it. It's bloody, simple and fucking fun. I'd gladly multi-dip on this game.
  3. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
  4. The Legend of Zelda Wii U
  5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  6. Batman: Arkham Knight - SO BEAUTIFUL....can't wait!
  7. Mighty No. 9 - Love Mega Man and I liked the demo for this.
  8. Ultra Street Fighter IV (PS4) - Might as well upgrade to next gen!
  9. SaGa (PS Vita) - I'm a big fan of the SaGa series (minus Unlimited SaGa - that game is pure shite) and I can't wait for this to come out! I hope it's like SaGa Frontier or Romancing SaGa 3.
  10. Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4) - TRIPLE DIP!

Haven't participated yet! 2015 is looking wonderful:

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : I can't deny my love for the franchise. I love the cast of characters, love the shooting, love the crazy globetrotting escapades and set-pieces. I'm also eager to see what's happened to Nate and company. Can't wait.

2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : While its seen its share of delays, I still have full faith in CDPR. I absolutely loved the original two games, and the massive detailed world, refined combat, gorgeous visuals and exploration factor have me salivating for it every day.

3. The Order 1886 : Ready at Dawn has always delivered for me and I have full confidence in them. The combat looks heavy and punchy, I like that. Everything from the unique setting, cast of characters, wonderful voice acting, etc has me hooked. It's also the best looking game I've ever seen, period.

4. Halo 5: Guardians : Same as above, I adore the series. Loved CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and 4. I'm mainly a campaign player with the franchise, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing what happens to the Chief and the real fate of Cortana.

5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Played every MGS game and will not miss this either. Big Boss. Open world. Metal Gear stealth. I'm in.

6. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) : Haven't played every LoZ game but a decent amount of them. A real open world HD Zelda is a hugely tantalizing thought.

7. Batman: Arkham Knight : Always been a fan of the bat. Arkham Asylum took me by complete surprise in 2009, and Arkham City delivered in a sequel. A new-gen only continuation? Full open-world and looking that good? No brainer.

8. Star Wars: Battlefront : The MP might be a buggy mess, might not be. I'm hoping DICE learned a huge lesson. In any case, I'm very much looking forward to the campaign. First person Star Wars in Frostbite? Yes please.

9. Quantum Break : Remedy's one of my favorite developers. Max Payne 1, 2, and Alan Wake were all fantastic. The time manipulation aspect and plot itself has me very intrigued.

10. Rainbow Six: Siege : The multiplayer footage looked absolutely incredible. Really into the tactical nature of the gameplay and also very excited for the single player campaign.

Here goes:

1 Uncharted 4
2 Batman Arkham Knight
3 Metal Gear Solid 5
4 Persona 5
5 The Division
6 Rainbox 6 Siege
7 The Witcher 3
8 Bloodborne
9 The Order 1886
10 Rime

Sorry No Mans Sky - i know too little about the actual GAME element to put you up there =(

AALL RIGHT, ready to jump in. Here are my picks, modified by my impulse pickup of a PS4
1. Quantum Break - Alan Wake was stellar, Remedy cannot fail in my eyes
2. Persona 5 - P4G was so good it convinced me to buy a PS4
3. Rise of the Tomb Raider - I loved the first one, more than Uncharted
4. Uncharted 4 - Not so much more though
5. Halo 5: Guardians - The best FPS in its first next-gen foray
6. Zelda Wii U - I don't have a Wii U but this is my favorite franchise
7. Just Cause 3 - The second one was the best open world game I've ever played
8. AC Victory - I'm a sucker for Creed
9. Splatoon - Another possible surprise on the Wii U
10. The Witcher 3 - Will be my first CD Projekt Red game

1. Just Cause 3
2. Bloodborne
3. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
4. Persona 5
5. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's end
5. Batman: Arkham Knight

8. The Division
9. Ratchet & Clank
10. Star Wars Battlefront

1. Mortal Kombat X: Mortal Kombat (2011) was an absolute blast to play solo and with friends while remaining both accessible and deep. The story mode remains the bar for all fighting games in my opinion. I can't wait to see where they take the storyline and new gameplay mechanics.

2. Persona 5: Persona 4 is a very strong contender for my favorite game of all time. Plus, everything the Persona Team does is golden (no pun intended). It's almost guaranteed to be the generation's first great JRPG.

3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Naughty is an incredible developer and the Uncharted series is easily one of the best in the past decade. This next entry should be no different.

4. Cosmic Star Heroine: A traditional JRPG throwback to games like Chrono Trigger and Phantasy Star? Gimme gimme gimme!

5. The Order: 1886: I love cinematic action games as well as third person shooters. The Order seems tailor-made for me. I'm really looking forward to the story.

6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Metal Gear Solid is an incredible series and V looks like it could be the best entry by a significant margin.

7. Yoshi's Woolly World: Is it weird that this is selling me on a Wii-U? I just really, really love Yoshi :D

8. Bloodborne: This will be my first foray into the realm of Souls style games and I'm excited! The setting is amazing, the combat looks visceral, should be an early contender for GOTY.

9. Super Stardust Ultra: Housemarque is arguably the most consistent developer on the planet, and their Stardust games are always a blast.

10. Hellblade: Ninja Theory is criminally underrated and I'm eager to play their spiritual successor to Heavenly Sword.

Took my time gauging my hypemeter and Ive finally got some readings to share:

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X
2. Bloodborne
3. Rime
4. Abzu
5. Star Fox Wii U
6. Zelda Wii U
7. Uncharted 4
8. Yoshi Woolly World
9. The Witness
10. Splatoon

I do have some reservations about Abzu and a few others actually making 2015 but its going to be a spectacular year regardless. Can not wait!

1. Zelda Wii U : If the rumors about this being inspired by the original Zelda is true, I'm really, really excited about this new entry. I even loved the previous two, which a lot of people have major problems with, so I guess I should be good anyway.

2. Bloodborne : It's a new Soul game, that looks to have some serious effort behind it. Got me hyped enough to finally consider a PS4.

3. Scalebound : Platinum Games. Reason enough to consider an XB1 as well.

4. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Just bought the prelude on Steam, and will probably play through it tonight. Hopefully it'll get me hyped for the real MGS V.

I'm both glad and a bit sad that there are no games announced for 2015 that are necessary day 1 purchases for me. There does seem to be some good games coming but at the moment I have plenty of stuff to play while they drop in price. Anyway, a list:

1. Bloodborne : I have very little doubt that this will be the best game for me in 2015 unless something comes completely out of left field.

2. Uncharted 4 : U2 and U3 are among the best games of last generation so I'm sure I'll have fun with this one too. However I've since then played Tomb Raider which to me was pretty close in quality and now I'm playing The Last of Us for the first time and not liking it as much as I'd anticipated. All in all I'm a bit more cautious to see if they'll manage to sufficiently improve on previous entries.

3. Mario Maker : The idea is genius. I've played SMB1-3 and SMW more times than I could count and the promise of more levels for said games is enough to have me really stoked. In the end though I will have to see how Nintendo handle the whole online thing, which has never been their forte.

4. The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3DS : One of the few games I haven't played in the Zelda series. I'm really excited to try it out and I think it could very well end up being my favorite 3D entry.

5. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : It's Zelda so I know I will buy it. I must admit though that I haven't even beaten the latest two 3D Zelda games. This really looks different though yet I hope it will hit all right notes where it counts.

6. Hotline Miami 2 : I'm really out of the loop as to what indie games are coming out next year but this one has been on my radar since the reveal. The first game was really addictive and delightfully twisted and I'm hoping this will bring more of the same and up the ante when it comes to crazy.

7. Final Fantasy Type 0 HD : I don't know enough about this game to be too hyped but it's Final Fantasy and supposedly a good one at that. Really doubt I'll pick this up at release though.

8. The Witcher 3 : This would have a really good shot at topping my list if had played further than 4 hours into the first game in the series. Won't pick it up until I'm all caught up but it looks all kinds of incredible. GotY material for sure.

9. Persona 5 : Yet another game that probably deserves to be ranked higher but I feel like I have to play at least P3 and P4 first.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid 2 is my favorite game of all time and I love every core MGS. Really Liked the gameplay of Ground Zeroes and I'm confident the plot will be great for a fanboy like me.

2. Persona 5

Persona 4 Golden is my second favorite game of all time for me. See a pattern?

3. Uncharted 4: A Theif's End

Uncharted is my favorite new series of last gen. I doubt it will surpass U2 but I'm confident it'll be as good as Drakes Deception

4. Batman: Arkham Knight

I really liked both Rocksteady Batman games. I'm a little worried due to the change of writer but being a Batman fan its still as must have.

5. Bloodborne

I felt Dark Souls 2 was lacking because of that special something Miyazaki brings that I'm hoping Bloodborne will have. I've played it so I know the gameplay feels great.

6. Witcher 3
7. The Order 1886
8. No Mans Sky
9. Rime
10. The Legend of Zelda: Wii U

Honorable Mention: Final Fantasy 15
I think it may squeeze into 2015

9. Dragon Quest: Heroes
10. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Looking forward to the kart racing it's probably about. :)

2015 is stacked with great games, with more to be announced soon. But as of right now, in no particular order:

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain
Persona 5
FFXV
Xenoblade x
And
Batman Arkham Knight

John Harker

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U
2. Bloodborne
3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
4. The Division
5. Splatoon
6. Xenoblade Chronicles X
7. Rise of the Tomb Raider
8. Ori And The Blind Forest
9. Uncharted 4: A Thief'd End
10. Star Fox

That's peobably close enough, real hard to micromanage an anticipation list haha

Though obviously my list only includes announced titles... It'll look a little different once more things are public

Gonna try and finalize my order before the deadline. Hard to choose lol. Too bad Dangan Ronpa: Another Episode (NA) won't count since it has no confirmed 2015 release date even tho I'm sure it'll come in 2015. Such despair! D:

And other games like Gravity Rush 2 and Wright: Super Duper Japan Edition won't count either. Hhmm..,gotta think how I'll order this.

1. Bloodborne : This has the potential to be the single best game I've ever played. Demon's Souls holds that spot right now and Dark Souls is very close behind. Although I very much dislike Dark Souls II, I have faith that Miyazaki and his team have what it takes to use the power of the PS4 to create something even greater than the Souls games.

2. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Before Bloodborne was announced this was my number one. I adored the first three MGS games, and I absolutely adored Ground Zeroes. Gameplay wise, I have no doubt that this will be the peak of the stealth action genre.

3. Persona 5 : I loved P3 and P4.

1. Splatoon : Looks like the most fun game I've ever seen.

2. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : It's Zelda.

3. Codename STEAM : One of my favourite developers doing what they do best on my favourite console.

4. Mario Maker : The possibilities are endless!

5. Yoshi's Wooly World : Looks amazing.

6. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse : Same as Yoshi.

7. Xenoblade Chronicles X : Looks massive and intimidating.

8. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D : Never got a chance to play it, so I'm pretty excited.

9. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate : I want to see what all the fuss is about.

10. Etrian Odyssey V : Etrian Odyssey!!

1) Xenoblade Chronicles X - An action RPG with dinosaurs and mechs made by Monolith Soft? Sold day 1.

2) Starfox U - I don't know how many hours I've sunk into previous entries, but I do know it's up there. I can't WAIT for Nintendo to show off more of this game.

3) Zelda U - Haven't played a Zelda game since OoT, but from what I've seen so far, this is one I want to play. Can't wait!

4) Yoshi's WW - One of my favourite games from my SNES collection was Yoshi's Island. If this game plays like that with its gorgeous visuals, I'm sold.

5) Devil's Third - I don't know what it is about these cheesy, over-the-top action games, but they get me every time. This game is definitely going to rope me in.

1. The Witness: My most anticipated game of next year. The mysterious island that Blow and his team have created looks ripe for exploration, and based on Braid and what little we've been shown, I don't doubt that the puzzle design will be immaculate and satisfying. Release date for this was given recently as "not too late into 2015", hopefully Blow really means that because I badly want to play this game.

2. Hotline Miami 2: I love Hotline Miami 1 and have been craving more for a very long time. HM2 looks like it will bring the game play from the first with more content and more phenomenal music.

3. The Tomorrow Children: I've watched quite a few alpha streams of the game, and The Tommorow Children is one of those games that I never knew I always wanted. The cog in a machine multiplayer gameplay looks very appealing to me, and it might be the best looking game out of this entire list.

4. No Man's Sky: NMS looks incredibly awesome and ambitious, though even after all the recent information about it I still don't know if it's for me. In turn, that makes me even more anxious to really see some more footage or play the game for myself next year.

5. Rime: Gorgeous and intriguing. Like The Witness I know very little about the game, other than I want to explore that world.

6. Bloodborne: Not much to say that hasn't been said, I finally got into the Souls series and Bloodborne looks like it will add to the high reputation the games hold.

7. Inside: I don't even own an Xbox One, but the trailer shown earlier in the year was a stand out and I can't help be excited for it. Made by the devs who did LIMBO, which I thought was great.

8. Majora's Mask 3D: I haven't played much MM yet despite hearing fantastic things about it, and can't wait to take my first crack at it on 3DS. OoT 3D was a fine port with excellent visual upgrades, and I expect this will be no different.

9.The Witcher 3: Despite the delays and all the chit chat about downgrades, The Witcher 3 looks excellent...and I haven't played the first two yet. Here's hoping I get on that in the next few months before the game's release.

10. Zelda U: Can't really put this any higher for how little we've been shown, but knowing there is a new HD Zelda targeted at next year gets me pumped. Part of me worries that the game will be rushed and devs had to cut corners like other Zeldas, but I'm always excited for a new Zelda game.

Shout out to Below as another game that I'm anticipating, Capybara has been reluctant to give a release date on it for obvious reasons so I can't put it up there, but I'm almost positive it'll be out next year.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : MGS is my favorite franchise of all time, and I'm never disappointed with what Kojima does.

2. Mortal Kombat X : I don't play a lot of fighting games, but I fell in love with MK9. This one seems to be building upon all the things I loved about its predecessor.

3. Rainbow Six: Siege : R6V had such a robust multiplayer component that I fell in love with. It was my most played and favorite game of last gen. It's hard for me not to get a little hyped for Siege.

4. Quantum Break : Remedy makes killer games. I haven't been enthralled with the previews, but I'm sure QB will deliver.

5. Halo 5 : I'm still a huge Halo fan. MCC was my main incentive for purchasing an X1. I hope 343 does right by the sequel.

6. Zelda U : It's been a long time since I've fallen in love with a Zelda game, but this one looks enchanting. I'm certainly interested.

7. Batman: Arkam Knight : I've enjoyed all three games in the series and I have no doubts this one will be good.

8. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Though I still hold the first game in the series to be the best, I've liked all three games in the series and I'm confident this will be a fitting end.

9. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number : The first was pretty rad, and I would certainly be down for another.

10. Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell : I'm not sure if this counts, as it is an expansion, but it is completely standalone. SRIV was a great redemption for the series, and I'm always down to play more Saints Row.

Other games that are drawing some of my interest: Until Dawn, Torment: ToN, The Division.

Things that would make my list if they had a 2015 release date: Mass Effect, Silent Hills, Visceral's Star Wars game. Unfortunately, I expect all of those in 2016.

Unannounced stuff that would instantly join my list: Fallout 4.

1. Uncharted 4 - Naughty Dogs first game built for PS4 is bound to be glorious. Laughed like a schoolgirl when I saw the PSX demo. Uncharted is one of my favorite series of all time.

2. The Witcher 3 - The first 2 were great and the 3rd looks to be the best. The scope and attention to detail looks to be unrivaled in the open world RPG genre.

3. The Order 1886 - I love me a dedicated single player, story driven TPS. The setting and lore alone have me excited. I'm also a graphics whore. Shooting looks like a ton of fun as well. *fingers crossed*

4. No Mans Sky - First time I laid my eyes on it I was in love. As a kid I would imagine a game where you could explore and entire galaxy flying from star system to star system visiting all the planets and discovering new species. I also love the retro sci fi look. (I don't have a PC at the moment but I will soon enough and games like Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen look right up my alley. Star Citizen is pretty much the reason I want to get back into PC gaming)

5. Bloodbourne - TBH I never played a Miyasaki game and want to see what all the fuss is about. What I've seen looks great and I'm up for a challenge.

6. Zelda U - I don't have a Wii U but this will be the game that makes me finally make the jump. Zelda was one of my favorite series of all time as well.

7. Rime - This game looks fantastic, I really have high hopes for this game. Hearing the devs talk about this game it just sounds beautiful and just the kind of game the PS4 needs.

8. The Phantom Pain - I have been a huge Metal Gear fan since MGS for PSX. Loved every game and TPP looks to be the best IMO. I was totally blown away by the TGS gameplay.

9. Quantum Break - The gameplay so far looks pretty good and the time manipulation looks very cool. Remedy knows how to make a good game and I expect great things from them here.

10. Star Wars Battlefront - Huge Star Wars fan. Any new game in its universe gets at least some excitement from me. I hope DICE can deliver. I cant wait to see the game Viceral is working on.

Edit: top 10 is so hard. I really wanted to throw MKX and Wild in there... and probably a ton more im not thinking about right now..

1. Persona 5: As much as I've loved the Persona 3 and Persona 4 cast in the forty-six offshoot games released over the years, I'm ready for a clean slate. I want the new cast, the new setting, the tweaks to a familiar gameplay formula (or possibly more?). I want the new Shoji Meguro soundtrack. I want it all and I want it ASAP.

2. Yakuza 5: Guess I should play 4 now, huh? After hearing about all the new additions in Y5, like the character side stories and their associated minigames (Haruka becoming an idol and the rhythm minigame is exactly the kind of weird addition I want out of Yakuza), I was really sad about never getting to play it. And yet, here we are: coming to North America. Glorious.

3. The Tomorrow Children: By far the most intriguing new IP announcement from last year's Gamescom (or was it E3? I don't remember). I'm not sure how the gameplay mechanics work but I think the whispers from the alpha/beta phases were good and I love the bizarre hypersocialist post-apocalyptic aesthetic.

4. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea: Atelier games are my video game comfort food. I thought maybe one game a year was my limit, but this year I Platinumed TWO Atelier games and am still excited for Shallie, so apparently the thirst is real. Very curious to see how the game works without the signature time management mechanics.

5. No Man's Sky: My only worry is that I kind of feel like I might already be playing the No Man's Sky formula in Elite: Dangerous. If nothing else, No Man's Sky is a hell of a lot more colourful, and that actually counts for a lot. On-foot sections and the survivalist aspects of the game should keep things interesting as well.

6. Cities: Skylines: SimCity was a huge disappointment. Colossal Order might just be the people to make good on SimCity's promises. I really liked Cities in Motion, so I'm hoping their success can carry over to a full-fledged city sim.

7. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC: If XSEED manages to get this game to us, it'll be the culmination of half a decade of waiting. For me, though, the pain isn't so severe since I haven't even played the first chapter yet; it'll just be a sign of XSEED's commitment to giving the first game a modicum of closure, even if they never manage to get the third chapter out.

8. Homeworld/Homeworld 2 Remastered: It's been a very long time since I've played Homeworld, and the little we've seen of the new graphics look like a worthy upgrade. Would love to dive back in. The only worry: Gearbox could totally screw it up.

Honourable mentions for 2015: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Uncharted 4, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., Xenoblade Chronicles X
Honourable mentions with no set date: Final Fantasy XV, Persona 4: Dancing All Night
