Don't know whether or not to go digital or retail. The thing that's holding me back from going digital is that we can't back up digital up games or use external storage.

Not only does that look really nice, it also hints that there are more slower paced moments in the game that incorporate exploration, or just shooting the shit with NPCs. Playing through Grim Fandango again right now has reminded me how much I love just taking a breather, soaking in the ambiance of a place and being engaged with the dialogue between characters. How I wish the adventure aspect would often take more prominence in action-adventure games.

I have to say, Ready at Dawn really nailed the look of these half breeds in The Order: 1886. They look so damn good. One of the best representation of the half breed in any medium ever (IMHO)
I love this look. So human-like and beastly at the same time. Creepy!

They've said since the beginning that that's part of their goal. I'm really glad that they're holding back on showing things like that. It's always nice when they come up unexpectedly.

I think it's very clearly in-game. The best I've ever seen, but definitely not concept art.

I actually think that's one of the worst shots we've seen of the game. Still looks good, obviously, but everything else is on another level. It's probably just the offscreeniness hiding the little details and overemphasizing contrast.

Just noticed the light shining through the bottom left windows. Semi-circular highlights on the inside wall.
Compression usually benefits game screenshots.

whats interesting about that commercial is that all the "quotes" from websites are only about the visuals of the game, i really hope this game delivers

Exact same thing here. This game looks cool and it does well. But I just can't justify buying another game right now given my backlog. I'll almost certainly pick this up at some point, but it's going to be a little while.

If this weren't real it would be a huge disappointment after all the hype about the visuals, I don't see anything truly mindblowing there. Black bars, you can't see very far, no enemies, varying texture quality, 30fps. Less wouldn't be enough. But it shows how important AF can be, the ground texture looks great.

When do the reviews come out? The only way I'd consider digital is if the reviews say it's something special.
Also I have a $50 BB gift card and GCU so physical is definitely it for me if I decide to pick this up.
