Bruh, you think it's a remake but it may not be a remake. Sounds like a far cry from confirming a remake flat-out.
Really can't read. Maybe should try to follow the conversation, it's pretty clear. Stop making me waste posts.

I don't think the home console game with that kind of investment will end up being a sequel or something. I do think that'll be the remake due to certain reasons, and that hasn't changed in recent times.

Doesn't sound like it's any guarantee.

It's seriously hilarious to see someone call this game overrated. I can't think of another game that pulled me into it's universe the way FF7 did. This is the game that introduced me to JRPGs and the sole reason why I went out and bought a playstation.

I was like, 17 is a pretty lame milestone but then I saw it was actually 18. 18 is huge!

FFVII is now allowed to legally drink alcohol, I'm gonna take it to a bar and get it sloppy drunk.

My second Final Fantasy, played VIII first. Great game. I need to replay it and finally beat it.. I almost always give up after the big event with Aeris.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
Happy birthday to what is for me, the most important and best video game ever. It came along at the right time and offered just the right experience which left quite an impact on me and changed me not only as a gamer but as a human.

It was a beautiful experience. It's still a very good game. But I don't want modern Square Enix's bastard reinterpretation of it. I'm happy to leave it as it is. The priorities and artistic inclinations of the people they have at Square Enix now, from the top executives on down to the ascended otaku who will overwrite the script in the localization, are wrong. They can't do it justice.

Why don't you play both? You could beat FF7 while waiting for a random battle in IX to load.

I definitely plan on playing VII soon. I have never played more than a couple of hours of it as a kid, but I have both IX and VII on PSN, so I will get around to VII sooner or later.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
The segment with these guys in Nibelheim creeped me out as a kid.

So did the segment with Jenova in the Shinra building.

...and the creepy choir music that plays when Sephiroth goes insane.

This game had a lot of scary moments for an eight year old.

Sephiroth is essentially a horror movie villain.

He fulfills all the tropes.

Between the stellar art direction, beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds and absolutely phenomenal soundtrack, I still find Final Fantasy VII to be one of the most atmospheric games ever released. No techno-city has ever been as ruthlessly oppressive as Midgar. I still get chills every time I enter Cosmo Canyon. Nibelheim remains one of the most compelling and memorable "small towns" in RPGs. I can go on-- the location design, world building, and general sense of "place" is simply superb.

I have a lot of fond memories of FF7, but these are easily my fondest. I replay the game often, usually to completion, and a lot of the time it is simply so I can see the sights and hear the sounds again.

Agreed. If they every do a FF7 remake I want it to be the same but with enhanced visuals like what they did with RE1 remake.

The scans. The demo. The wait. The commercials. The reviews.

Even today when I replay Final Fantasy VII I have a great time. My favorite PS1 Final Fantasy game.

In my childhood Sephiroth fucking scared me as hell in Shinra Building while hearing Trail of Blood piece. Brrrrrrrr, it still gives me creeps.

This game unlocked some magic gaming gate in my head when I played it, it felt like a genre that I had never experienced.

Magical fucking shit

I don't like this game AT ALL. Extremely boring to me. I see so much praise though and Ive played a few other FF games through and beat FF13 twice and enjoy that one, so I do plan on beating it some day...

Started a game 4 times now getting as far as the end of disc 1 before quitting. One of my least favorite RPGs. Hopefully one day it does click with me. Maybe it wont. Im hoping for a remake like everyone else nonetheless! Or spin offs. Crisis Core was fantastic.
