What I am most excited about the story in this game are the "eyes that see the light of expiring souls".

It would be pretty tragic if Noctis could tell that someone would die soon and could do nothing to stop it. I always envisioned that scenario.

I'm sure they'll release a Japan only novel that takes place before the game that contains half the character arcs of everyone so you can familiarize yourself with the characters before hand.

Unfortunately, "Akyueshiro" or "アキュエシロ" doesn't really translate as far as I can tell. It doesn't describe it here, but when activating the Phantom Swords, all abilities cost 0 MP, allowing you to spam them at your own will. However, activating the Phantom Swords drains your MP over the course of its duration, so you can't keep it up forever.

Yeah but the way he's automatically switching weapons mid combo looks more awkward than anything. But it's far too late to expect them to come up with something better so I'll just deal with it. ¯\_(&#12484_/¯

I sadly doubt we will see a manual. The most substantial manual I have for a PS4 game is Samurai Warriors 4

I liked him since I saw a subtitled video of him talking to Stella.

I always thought he would just be Cloud again until I saw that.

I don't think they did, in the 2013 trailer during the Iron Giant co-op attack sequence, I laughed my ass off because Noctis tries to pick up the Giants' sword by himself, which to me showed how he has a tendency to overestimate himself.

He hadn't even received his eyes in the demo yet.

The conversation from 2011 is after he gets hold of his new power, presumably the eyes.

We already saw Noctis acting rash at the "young man points at sky" Jump Festa 2015 trailer and Ignis had to be the voice of reason. Pretty much exactly how the dialogue in 2011 played out.
