How so? Dragon Ball is a WELL known brand. I understand the Order had hype simply by being a First party game but it is still just a new IP.

Regardless dragonball games are pretty niche. They only really sell to dragonball fans and never do insane numbers just like most anime based fighting games.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
It does say console there, though.

You can doubt me, I'm not here to dispute anything.

I'm just presenting one example, as this is not unheard of, disregarding handhelds in the console market.

Let's all wait 10 mins :)

This is digital only, but you can start loling:

Definitely understand why many wouldn't by The Order digitally.

Interested in seeing retail breakdown.

No, I'm not doubting you. I also believe Sony isn't considering handheld devices in that PR. It's just your example doesn't disprove his point.

It was number 2 in PSN sale numbers last month though. I don't know much about the game, its series and past sales or how they did in digital/physical split but that's pretty good I'd think.

Edit: Beaten it seems

The Order being beaten by Xenoverse and Dying Light will not be lol worthy or any of that stupid shit, it will be justice. I'm struggling to finish the Order having had it for 3 weeks now, it's genuinely so shit that I am compelled to play the remainder of the game just so I can see if it stays terrible from start to finish. I've rented and still feel bad for getting it, genuinely feel sorry for those of you that actually purchased the game. Such a disappointment considering the pedigree of RAD. :(

I agree it is good and kind of surprising. I am currently playing it and punishing myself through the rng for the platinum.

Xenoverse is actually a really great game and deserves to sell well. Xenoverse 2 has the potential to be the best DBZ game ever.

Conclusion: Real men wear moustache and buy retail.

I watched Amazon charts like a hawk and DBX on PS4 had way better legs than The Order. Not perfectly ideal, but the best anecdotal evidence I could find. I know NPD doesn't break games down by SKU, but it'll be interesting if anyone posts that sort of info. DBX will be better overall, but I still think the PS4 version will be close to The Order.

I wonder if SE will eventually go back to making FF on one platform again. Do the meager Xbox sales cover the cost of developing for another console?

I am the polar opposite. I loved it from start to finish. Looks amazing, good story and fun gameplay. It is currently my GotY.

Disappointment for you, yes. But for me, best game I played this year.

Top selling retail games of Feb: Majora's Mask 3DS, Evolve, and Dying Light. The Order at #9.

So, PS4 wins in Feb.

Expected.
Why it was expected? I thought X1 had some great bundles this month, why did the PS4 sold more? There wasn't any significant release for neither and XB1 had the price advantage, it was good enough for the holidays win last year.

I really wish Xbox1 owners would take the time and purchase these RPG's. If they don't it's clear japanese devs won't even give it a look when making games.

I think the Xbox demographic doesn't really care about Japanese RPGs.

I have an Xbox One and couldn't care less about them outside of Kingdom Hearts. It was the same way for me when the PS2 was my main console (and that console was known for a ton of them); Never really been interested in JRPGs.
