Man I am enjoying this game so much I can't believe I missed out on this series for so long. More screenshots here in this album (Spoilers). Also PCSX-2 Settings.

Great shots, I found my emulation run through crashed at a certain point so had to stop, I'm pretty gutted as I was loving playing through in HD-O-Vision! Wondering if my PCSX2 settings need tweaking.. The pad wasn't set up well, that's for sure, was so janky trying to run.

EDIT - Ok holy shit I've just somehow got past the part which glitched and I'm carrying on my playthrough! Excellent! Going to do a run on 1 + 2 in glorious 1080p after like 9 years, redo 3 on PS3 again then finally get around to 4 which I got via PS+ last month. Fucking love the series, always felt it was the closest we ever got to Shenmue 3 :(

I figure this is a good a place as any to ask, but anyone know which is the better option to play Auto Modellista on between a PS2 or Gamecube emulator? Never really emulated PS2 or Gamecube before.

The Dolphin is usually better than the PS2 emulator, so I'd go with the Gamecube, although ive never played that specific game on it.

Dolphin runs better and is lighter almost 100% of the time. Less glitches and better fps.

Thanks this game was really great I was able to play-through the entire game with out any crashes on PCSX-2 using the settings I post.

Getting 4 on PS+ was exactly the reason I decide to get into the series. I purchase 3 when I heard about getting 4 for free and I was lucky to find 1 at a locale game store. All I need now is 2 so hopefully I will find it soon its cool that you were able to get past the glitch.

That's GORGEOUS!
I always wanted to play that game, since a was like 12 years old (22 now).
What's your video card? Do you think a AMD HD 7770 can emulate it? I'm such a noob with emulators...

With a Radeon 6870 I get fairly consistent 60fps at 3x ir I bump it to 4 when screenshotting. However, some areas and battles with 6+ monsters on the screen cause slowdown with my settings. 3x ir sees my GPU hitting 80-90% usage in heavy areas. My i5 3470 never exceeds 20% though.

You know after looking at so many pages of this, it starts to really make it obvious to me that a lot of PS2 games actually clean up better than GC games. I think its the textures, no, I'm certain it's the textures. Take the poor video output of the PS2 away, throw in some more fancy rendering bells and whistles like AA, AF, and higher resolutions and the higher res textures that were in those games all along really go a longer way than the flat low quality textures on even some of the GC's best looking games under the same circumstances.

Feel free to call me crazy, that's just my opinion.

bomblord can I just say what a wonderful OP you are. You're always commenting on others work and keeping the thread active with your own shots as well. It's so nice that you're so involved in the thread. :)

Also keep the shots coming guys, this is one of my favorite threads on GAF. Hope I'll be able to contribute someday.

How did you get the high res map?
I wasn't using any hd textures in those screens, but there was a revision of Dolphin recently that fixed the minimap scaling so that it looks much cleaner at higher resolutions.

Really love those Shadow of the Colossus screens. How does it run? Is it limited to 30 frames?
Thanks man. It runs at 50-60 fps when running around the open wasteland area, but it slows down to like 30 whenever you face some serious geometry, like some areas where you fight Colossi. Still totally playable
