You do realize it was Treyarch who was begging to do a futuristic COD right but IW was telling Activision not to allow them to go past the Vietnam War right?

Man and all of this is leaking and they don't plan on doing the reveal until April 26th.....I actually feel bad for Activision on this one. Which site leaked all of this first?

It's probably going to be a lot different then AW and I would expect it to be because this is treyarch we're talking about. All these people worrying it's going to be exactly like AW but why would the top cod developer just copy and paste from the new cod team?? highly doubt they would do anything like that. We all just have to wait and see.

If they're getting this advanced and futuristic, they're better off going full-sci-fi. Call of Duty's take on future warfare is boring. It's like watching a child almost walk, only to fall back down again. I feel like Advanced Warfare was stuck in that regard.

Imagine if Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, and Black Ops 3 all game out in the span of 2 months (still hoping for a fall release for Fallout 4).

Because people like what they like. 25-30 million people really like the gameplay in MW2/MW3/BO1/BO2.

If people wanted to play a futuristic game with crazy movement they would have bought Titanfall.

All this leaking? The only thing that leaked was the picture right? I'm pretty sure that would have been revealed before the trailer anyway. It doesn't tell us much.

The confirmation this is hardcore futuristic. There's a reason they didn't show you the cover guy earlier. I mean look at him, that alone gives away quite a bit.

Titanfall floundered because of the lack of content, name recognition, and the AI bot crap. People play Call of Duty MP to feel satisfied with how well they perform against other people, not against bots. Most people complained Call of Duty's MP when it feels unfair or unsatisfying. AW doesn't have perfect map design, but the mechanics make call of duty the premiere and unique shooter again.

I don't want it to fail, I just want it to sell less than Advanced Warfare. So the suits see that all this complicated future nonsense isn't bringing in the dollars.

I know it's incredible early hope for the best.

Wall Running + Dashing in COD's online infrastructure and community is asking trouble. Outside of like networking issues and hit boxes. If its going to raise the skill level, it's going to leave behind maybe alot of it's core audience. I assume that means the maps are going to get bigger to facilitate wall-running. AW did that and it was a struggle to maintain above a 2 K/D in matches for me.

It's giving me the vibe that there is no longer a brand deal with Xbox exclusively anymore, given that both companies posted the teaser and seem to be promoting it.

They could very well do an entire scifi spin off to the series. There's nothing saying they can't add aliens or monsters outside zombies. IMO that wouldn't be bad. It would be interesting seeing their take on an alien invasion. Ghosts had aliens with Extinction.

People felt angry at Ghosts because of the incredibly low time to kill because it FELT unfair and like you didn't have a fighting chance. As long as it feels fair when you die, people won't care how well they perform in regards to a skill ceiling. AW and BO2 have much more people playing than Ghosts for a reason.

I've played MW1,2,3, BO1,2 and owned only MW2,3 and BO2 and fevertly think that BO2 is the best CoD yet. Can't speak for AW but I know BO2 is at least better than Ghostslol.

So yeah, happy it's BO3 and interested to see what Treyarch brings us in its it's 3 year dev cycle.

So AW had movement I hate. BO2 looks like it's continuing the same path.

Is fucking Ghosts 2 our only hope at this point? We're so screwed.

It doesn't have to be an alien invasion. Have you read the Expanse series (Leviathan Wakes, Caliban's War, Abaddon's Gate)? So much inter-human conflict, and I think it does it well. You can take civilization to space and still have human conflict. People will always hate other people.

I'm shocked, going by a lot of posts on this thread it seems Advanced Warfare was not well received by the community?

I'm not a COD player, so I don't really follow COD news but I thought Advanced Warfare was well regarded by the players.

futuristic? I'm out until I see gameplay. I didn't mind the exo suits in CoD AW but I was hoping this would be different.

Another modern-ish military FPS? Thank God! We certainly don't have enough of those.

I was really hoping for a WW2 setting for a change, which feels strange to say since there was once a time when that era was overdone as well.
