What else is there to say?

What are the chances Sony or Microsoft are going to go to del toro and Kojima with a big cheque and let them make a non Silent Hills horror game?

This is fucking sad. I was hoping that this game could take the Silent Hill series out of the pool of shame, but it looks like Konami doesn't care.

Been a long time since there was a lot of interest in a Silent Hill game - should of been expected Konami would mess it up.

Time for them to create another subpar game and then complain nobody bought it.

So.... Is there a reason that Konami is burning itself down to the ground?

Poor management. They leveraged certain things too strongly and burned out all their talent. Now all they have is IP and they think that's enough to sustain them in the mobile market.

Damn, I had hope that the game was maybe 50% complete considering it would have been over a year since P.T. was released. I was hoping enough of Kojima's ideas had already made it into the game that even a lesser developer could have finished off the game and it would have still been awesome and full of Kojima touches.

But nope.

I'm confused why some people didn't understand this the moment Guillermo del Toro said so.

Like it was a pretty obvious follow-up to Konami already being cagey about the game and taking down the teaser and throwing out Kojima, since at that point pretty much everyone was already known to be out of the project.

Everyone's just waiting a final nail in the coffin, I think.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how Konami plan to stay alive once MGSV is milked dry.

It looks like they're tripping over themselves trying to get out of (traditional) gaming. We'll probably see cash-in Metal Gear/PES games until their sales finally dry up and then Konami's effectively dead to us.

Too bad, but I still have arcade bemani. I'm not sure how much money that makes them but it's quite popular in every game centre so might want to check your pachinko memes.

Sony or Microsoft need to step in.

Failing that then GabeN please. You can even fund it allowing paid mods for the game.
