It's one of those series that could be good in theory, so people keep paying attention, even though it's never actually good. It's The Walking Dead (TV series) of video games.
No, The Walking Dead (Telltale) is not The Walking Dead (TV series) of video games.
They changed the "Victory" name probably because they will never make the perfect AC game....
Never, ever, EVER trust early screens from Ubi. Never trust them from any dev, but NEVER trust them from Ubi
syndicate? syndicate? does that term hold any meaning in relation to the industrial revolution? seems more of a late 20th century thing to me. wth.
Its probably them doubling down on co op
You aren't alone, my friend. I loved Unity. Last time I checked the Smart Glass App, it said I logged 105 hours into ACU.Awwwwwwww yeah. I'm excited. Victorian London is one hell of a great setting, and I'm one of the few people that really really liked AC Unity.
FYI, it's not called Victory anymore. Now it's Syndicate. http://kotaku.com/this-years-victorian-assassins-creed-will-be-announced-1702873301
I preferred Victory tbh.
My thoughts exactly. If only the series would.
Yep, most screenshots from Ubi games made in photoshop and they have nothing to do with how their games actually look.Never, ever, EVER trust early screens from Ubi. Never trust them from any dev, but NEVER trust them from Ubi
"gather your friends and become gangsters in history" lol. stupid name.
Why do people not like Revelations, it had some great story telling and worked.
As much as I dislike most of the side missions in AC games because they're mostly utterly meaningless, it'd be cool to investigate the Jack the Ripper murders and then assassinate that Polish dude who most likely was the murderer.
Syndicate? Weird. Victory made sense to me as a sequel to Unity and since the game is set in a Victorian setting having the 'vict' in the title is kinda nice.
Why are people posting in this thread that they don't care about the game? Why the fuck did you click the link then?

Incidentally, I’d heard from a source a couple weeks ago that Ubisoft planned to announce the game during a pre-recorded stream on May 12, but hadn’t corroborated it. I also heard from the same source that the game is no longer called Victory and in fact will be called Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
It uses Unity's engine, no?
Maybe to give their opinions on it? Many people were excited about Unity after the amazing Black Flag, then Unity screwed them over and now many people highly doubt and don't believe in the next AC.
...I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why they haven't done ancient Egypt (pyramids, pharaohs, intrigue)
I was just wondering why they hadn't announced Victory yet. Typically they announce the new AC in like March-April. Really interested in this one, but I hope it's nothing like Unity.

Maybe all the crying by the very vocal minority made them want to distance themselves from their latest game again; as in black flag becoming AC4 instead of remaining the AC3 spinoff that it is in everything but name.
Or unity is still getting its sequel (set in EGYPT) and they dont want to think that this is the sequel.
Black Flag jumped back a couple years after AC3. I think they are going to keep on making games in a time period where they can reuse the most assets from previous games. I think we will stay in Europe for at least another game after Victory/Syndicate. While they have another team working on an entire new location. *Fingers crossed* for Japan or back to the Crusades.
After Unity I can't get excited for another AC game at all.
Please don't be another horrid pos like Unity.
Yeh. Black Flag was good.
But I just think we're getting to time periods where personally I don't really care about them and they're just too close to the present day when they could explore older more historical periods. A game set in Asia would be amazing!
I do agree they'll probably make another game in Europe and some sort of spin off using all these assets as well.
But I hope after that it doesn't jump to 20th century or something.
Pretty much. And I really liked Black Flag. Unity was pretty much a franchise killer for me.
