Jeez, that walking animation is all sorts of weird. Looks like the character model on a loop while the background moves past, if you know what I mean.

I get that the character is supposed to walk funny, but the image itself just looks weird.

It's a work in progress ;),

I can't stop watching the gifs because of the walking animation, it's just too good,

Screw MediEvil. Give me a new Nightmare Creatures!

We already got that - it's called Bloodborne!

Too good? The walk looks terrible, especially from the front.

I've just been looking at footage of the original games, and don't forget that Sir Dan was a lanky bugger, and he did have this wobbly gait to his walk originally. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to believe this could be real work-in-progress.

To people saying it's too obscure:

If they release a mid-tier game, and if some develop profits from it, what's the harm? There is room for these kinds of games. I'm spending more money on non-premium games this gen than $60 AAA titles.

If this is for a new PSABR, I'd be even happier. That game had potential and was fun, dammit.

Very true. Also for people saying it's too obscure: they're already resurrecting Shadow of the Beast of all things, anything goes at this point.

Its because something like that is going on. Theres no "solid" connection between the feet and ground at all. It's one of the biggest red flags its fake unless this is some crazy early footage

I don't think this is real. I mean, I guess it could be real because Sony is crazy, but I don't think there's a market for this kind of game...

Wild, Tomorrow Children, Rime, Talos Principle, Puppeteer etc. Bunch of them. I hope you're joking

Man a new MediEvil would be so cool. I have been begging for this one forever. Sony also still needs to fulfill my Colony Wars wish...

PS: MediEvil 1 and 2 were both Platinum titles back in the day. They were not some small niche title.

Screw MediEvil. Give me a new Nightmare Creatures!

jk MediEvil is also cool. Never really played it but remember the character from the early PSX days

Come on son, Nightmare Creatures was never good. Also it's by Activision and has nothing to do with Sony.

I'm glad it's not just me seeing that.
You'd think even if it's early footage it's one of the most basic things they'd think to do first.

Otherwise it just looks like they've created an area (like the fake Majora's Mask video from a few years ago) and a character model and just thrown them together. It looks really unprofessional.

Guerrilla Cambridge is working on a PS 4 game that is “high profile, multi-million selling franchise”. Hmm, wouldn't it be a stretch to describe MediEvil like that? :/

Yeah, Guerilla Cambridge is almost without a doubt on the next Killzone for PS4 with the main Guerilla in Amsterdam on Horizon.

Well it looks a bit professional to be someone's hobby project in Unreal 4/Unity 5, but it would obviously be from a lower end contract studio if it's a real game.

I think people thinking companies like Sanzaru are on the right track for a real project, even if it's not them. That would be the right general developer tier.

Maybe a lower end team within Sony is also an option (like the people who did EyePet or whatever).

I could see someone like Spiral House as well, if it's someone who is normally a contract studio, but now has their own game.

Reminds me of the Project Beast-leak... The thirst is not quite as real though, 9 hours to reach page 21, Project Beast did that in a little more than 1 hour. Might as well cancel.

If it wasn't fake, that is.

Be real!

Have you guys criticising the animation ever played Medievil ?

That's part of Fortesque character being a skeleton and moving sorta like a puppet.
Obviously inspired by Tim Burton's NBC stop motion, it's a rather huge part of the game's grotesque aesthetics.

It's a work in progress ;),

This guy gets it (he has a Shenmue avatar, after all !).

Those who want Fortesque to look all heroic and serious obviously have no idea what the game is about

He is definitely playing with fire. Don't underestimate the hate from the "nerds" that could unleash toward you if this is just fan made.

The issue isn't the animation itself, but how it doesn't blend at all with the floor or the stairs. I think it might just be early stuff though.

Yes I've played them. Its not just the animation its this..

The blending of the character model and the ground is off. The final game in no way should have that. This thing may be real, and god I hope it is. But that lack of any sort of impact during the walk is concerning to me

Just imagine this E3.
New Crash Bandicoot (From Naughty Dog), Spry and MediEvil. All of them from Sony first Party studios and are coming out this Winter.
"PS4 comes back with PS1 classics"

I would cry.

Isn't this year the 20th anniversary? So releasing this holiday line up would be great.

Come on. You should know that Crash and Spyro are with Activision and it's never going to happen.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Yeah. This MediEvil stuff here looks too much like a a fan made UE3-4 game.

It wouldnt be great. It would be the best thing from E3 since the PS4 was announced.

I know i know. But a collaboration with Activision could still happen. I mean everybody said that Sony wouldnt give/lend away Spiderman.

Oh shit, a PS4 Medievil with those graphics, maybe some gameplay elements inspired by From Software games (like combat, and continous map structure) would make for an amazing game.

I'd love for it to be real, but at the same time we're already getting spoiled by the usual pre-E3 leaks :(

Allonym

There should be more tampons in gaming
I think graphically, it looks verrrrrry impressive and I for one, sure hope that it's real.

I don't want to get disappointed so assuming it's not happening, we'll see at E3.
Hopefully it's real though..
