They'll almost definitely alter colors in post.
Since when has Joker been a physical threat? The best incarnations of him have never been a physical threat.

He isn't Killer Croc, but he is certainly one of Batmans stronger foes when it comes to hand to hand combat. He is regulary holding himself pretty good against Batman and his adverseries, even without any gadget. He is definitly stronger than he looks.

Well, I think I am glad they made the effort of making a design that is offensively obnoxious.
The Joker isn't meant to be immediatly cool or zany, he should make you do a double take and go "wait-what?". Having the grill and the stupid ass "damaged" tatoo would totally make Batman stop for a few seconds and wonder what the hell is going in that damaged mind of his.

For years now. He can take out most of the Bat family and he holds back against Bruce because getting beat up by Batman is his fetish.
Well I mean physically he looks just like a thin man compared to Bats in most of the comics. There is no reason Leto here cant go crazy with his knife on batman as he does in the comics with this physique. I mean even in End game in new 52 he does not look like some super strong imposing figure and we could still buy that fight at the end.

Well the more I think about it the more this costume makes sense. With the BvS trailer they start with asking questions that would probably get asked if such an event were to happen on our earth. Now with Batman being an urban myth in this universe up until this point the Joker's costume makes sense. If this Joker were to show up in our society he would probably get dismissed for trying to hard etc, the same reaction you see now on this board for example.
But this does allow for Batman to remain out of the picture. I mean in SS Batman still is the urban myth. If you were to have a Joker that people see as a serious threat there is no way Batman would be able to get to him without exposing himself in some way. I think this Joker is going to be really interesting once Batman is out there, getting attention.
